I'm not saying you are against those detectors, sorry if it came across that way. They can be a useful tool. If implemented the right way.

Without those detectors, people would get away with so much. A word filter is only as smart as the information that is put into it, which brings me back to the whole not know another language issue. The only way this can be fixed its to have a complete list put onto servers, in every language, or to allow server hosts to take the choice into their own hands, within reason and guidelines. Edit: With regards to the previous post, and going off topic, I will end this side of the discussion now. If another thread is brought up regarding my concerns, I will mention them there, hopefully without offending anyone :)

Sorry, I was probably ranting. Those detection features are running on some servers. With regards to your "using Cyrillic to get around racism", I do understand, and I do agree. If a server host doesn't understand another language, how are they to know what term is racist and what is not?

Jocktamson, one thing you said struck me. "Have to put up with cyrillic". English is more recognised than any other language. I am not a racist person, I will never said a bad word against any person with regards to their race, religion or beliefs. Everyone has a right to speak their own language. When people join EU5, I do ask that they speak English, simply because it is an international language. The people that use our server may not understand any other language, and may think that they are being slated for some reason. As I say, I do ask that people speak English, and if they can't, then I provide them with another location to do so, such as out TS3 server that has been set up specifically for DayZ. I think I'm responding to a post I saw yesterday more than yours, but I hope people get what I mean.

I thought Thermal scoped weapons were removed? Especially the M107 TWS? Wasnt that the one that was removed from spawn due to issues or something? Could be that, or could just be a butthurt admin that you killed. Or you could have genuinely done something wrong. Please be honest when you reply. I'm not judging you, just want the whole series of events.

Could be a glitch. Myself and MuzzleRat came across a guy in Cherno apartments. Could hear the flies around him, yet he was still stood there, clear as day, aiming his makarov and all. He wasn't moving, so we fired a full M4A1 mag and a full m1911 mag into him. He didn't flinch. Then we realised he was dead.

I'll be using this when I switch EU5 over to the new box tomorrow. The capabilities surpass the current RCon usage, the to be able to add different levels of admin is a bonus.

You dont need those client side to run. All you need it @dayz.

Dont run any other mods, other than DayZ, make sure all unnecessary background apps are closed. Some overlays can also cause this issue, so make sure you dont have one running.

Every now and then on the IRC channel, someone will come to myself or Greg[uK4] and ask us for help with server issues and we help as much as we can, with either of us being able to get the issue resolved (Unless its IP whitelisting). If needed, I'm willing to help in some kind of (official) capacity, as I'm sure Greg[uK4] would be willing to also, that's if you need additional hands on that side of things.

I have Monitor running on my server, and while i though at the start that it was causing issues (I was wrong btw), I actually find it easier to manage the server using it. it will lighten the load on the Dev's by giving a single point of update, without them having to go in and update manually. I'll be leaving my RDP up for them, incase I do need help with something DayZ related, but I see the Monitor as a godsend for the Dev Team. Yes, it may change your settings at first, but they're not too hard to reconfigure.

This has been posted many times since 2009. (Not with the DayZ stuff on the sides), but the "easter egg" has been around for 3 years, and someone else posted this a couple of weeks ago :)
