Certainly seems like a graphics card issue, though I've had no problems in the seven weeks I've played (2600K/GTX680). Fire up EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner and monitor your temps and vram usage. If your temperature is over the norm (85-90C max or so for Nvidia, depending on the card), pull it out and blow it out with compressed air. The intake end of the heatsink may be clogged with dust, and the gpu would receive no airflow. Disassembly may be required for a thorough cleaning, but it's well worth the effort. If your vram is maxed, drop your settings a bit. I recommend lowering (I turn it off) post-processing, and as a pleasant side-effect, low blood vision-blurring will be eliminated. Good luck.

OP - I have no idea if your character will survive the upgrade. Good luck. I find it hilarious that so many posters have taken an almost defensive/hostile reaction to op's survival record. There are no rules as to how you play the game. Play it the way you want, stfu and mind your own business. If the majority of players are upgrading to the new version and reporting bugs and other problems, it's enough.

Just popped in for a nice 90 minute session, and things seem good - zombie aggro seems about right. The only annoyance was a sheep who refused to die. I pumped about 8 AK74 rounds into it and it just stood there, taunting me like Nelson on The Simpsons who points and says "HA HA!". So, with tears in my eyes, I started to walk away, looked back, and it suddenly fell over. Victory! All your steaks are belong to us! Keep up the good work, Rocket. I see a fleet of Lambos and a most savage case of herpes in your future.

Be sure you're utilizing your dedicated gpu and not your igpu. There should be a setting somewhere in the control panel.
