This is clearly one of Rocket's "undocumented" updates, designed to lift the players spirit when all hope seems lost. Supposedly, a depression meter is in the works as well.

Good question. Been playing since May, and I've never encountered these glitches - seen them on plenty of vids though - and always wondered why. I'd never run in-game AA until the recent addition of PPAA (using SMAA/normal currently). You might be onto something. 2600K/GTX680 (305.53 beta drivers) OCZ Vertex 3 SSD

Okay, I took a week-long break from the game after being sniped, and figured it'd be a good time to jump back in and test the new update. After manually installing Arma2 beta patch 95883 and DayZ version 1.7.2.5, I jumped on two different servers with compatible versions and spawned in with a reasonably-geared character from about a month ago. Not complaining - just reporting. I don't mind a bit... :D

A paid piece of software will surely preclude the use of any real brand names - the only reminder of the way things used to be in this cruel, cruel world. Hmmm, how about making a pitch to these companies for some sponsorship? Can you say product placement? I knew that you could. I can't bear the thought of dodging sniper fire and zombies, dashing into the Stary Sobor supermarket, excitedly running down the aisle, only to find a sad can of Fred's imitation Pork n' Beans or Zappo Diet Soda. It'd be enough to make me take that sweet, sweet hunting knife I just found and plunge it deep into my neck. Please don't let this happen.

Worked long hours all week and finally set a time/date to play some co-op with my brother - 01:00 am EST - and damn if that isn't the exact time of the server outage. Why, God? WHY?!?!?! :facepalm:

Same here. Just tried the in-game server browser and Six Launcher, and there are no servers listed.
