We found a hacker in US #500 (1.7.2.3/95251) [REG][GMT +17] by Blood4odin & Hull_Creature We and a group of friends were in Electro. 2 of us were on top of the hospital and 3 of us on top of the school. The hacker had a golden AK, indestructible, and some sort of suicide bomber function. He ran to the top of the school completely ignoring 20 + rounds that hit him. He then activated a bomb which Blew up my friend. He got thrown off of the school. He climbed back up the ladder and activated the bomb again. It completely destroyed the school building. His name was "UNCLE TOBY'S DICK" I have no physical proof of him doing it, but I have a screenshot of the aftermath. This occured 7/25/12 at 1:30PM EST

YES! Amazing idea. Rare spawn so one person in your group can have it or so. It would make alot of people happy and be a good solution.

This has been talked about so many times already. It would have been implemented already, but it would be a pain to do it in the MOD. This will be a feature in Standalone. Please use the search function or watch some interviews with Rocket.
-
Agreed. Its fine the way it is. Just keep playing til you get used to it. Getting Blood back should never be a problem.

I have found out the proper punishment for bandits who camp buildings. It would be almost going crazy in real life listening to fly's on glitched out bodies for 2 hours while you camp Elektro. Try and play with them for about an hour. You will want to stab yourself in the ear.

This thread was to show there is a negative to banditry and to laugh a little at the (WE MUST PUNISH THE BANDITS!) threads. But ya Zeromentor gets it. When there is like 10 dead bodies that have been gone for ever and the flies are louder than any kind of running you hear it gets to be crazy. It may not drive the character mad, but it almost drove me crazy after an hour of listening to it last night. This thread is kind of a joke. Feel free to let it die.

Rocket has already stated that he wants to add in underground structures. Chances are there will be a new map with all enterable buildings and underground structures. We shouldn't need another end game if we can build a safe haven.

I do agree that there should be a set mark for everyone to use. The gamma does nothing whenever the moon isn't out though. (At least I think) I had alot of fun playing with the moonlight. Still hard as hell to see, But you don't have to crouch walk with a flashlight for miles.

I have never had the problems that you have. First 3 days of playing I was a noob. I figured out how to play and now I usually live about 5-20 hours of in game time. I have only died once to a hacker. The game is in Alpha, If you can't handle it you might as well just leave. This game is amazing for being in Alpha. Sure there are kinks that need worked out, but this game is very easily playable and enjoyable. You are going to have to Adapt to it being Alpha or leave.

Tents despawn after a player dies. If you can stay alive you can place as many tents as you like. The map is so big and tents are so small. I don't think this is an issue.

Crossbows are awesome. But bolts take up way to much room. I hope there is a way to make the bolts stack. Either with a Quiver or just have like 5 bolts per stack. I hope a dev reads this thread and lets us know if this idea is a good one or not.

Liberation! (Mechanic of reclaiming towns for Survivors)

A power station would be fine. As this gives a reason to do it. My only concern was having this event which provides no reward. -

My concern with the no loot spawning in the liberated city is...Whats the point of having it than? There has to be some reason to do it or this entire thing becomes pointless. My suggestion would be to have the basic drops, makarovs, a revolver, maybe a lee enfield and a double barreled shotgun. New Players would need these drops. Older players alive for a day or so wouldn't need any of this. Bandits would come back to try and grief and will sometimes die in the process. I am concerned that without loot no one will care about liberating the city and it will be passed up. There would be another way to go about it without loot drops though. Have a train station or power station be in the liberated city. This could give you power or a means of transportation. It is such a great idea, but with no reward it becomes obsolete. -

I would like basic loot to spawn here. It would encourage new players to band together. Experienced players will most likely stay away from here. And bandits would come back to ruin the newbs. It would complete the circle of life that this game needs. Also http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=22192 I thought this thread died out when I posted that -
So this is some of the end game suggestions I have read on the forums mixed together. Currently PVP is out of control, which is fine. However, I do think that having a bigger goal would allow people to work together. Punishing bandits for playing the game for the way that it should be played is not a way to go. Player Bases - Have the ability to liberate an area from zombies and to allow it be a safe haven. After 5 or 10 minutes of a zombie siege you take control of the town. Zombies don't spawn in the town anymore. Why does it matter? - Basic things can spawn in these areas such as pistols, food, water, basic meds...Maybe even a couple better weapons such as a lee enfield or shotgun. Maybe even have many loot spots that spawn basic pistols. There should also be something that everyone would want to get their hands on. Maybe have the base around a train station. You could than fix up a train and hitch a ride to another spot. Maybe Cherno and Electro? What would this do? Early game it would allow survivors to band together to liberate this base. This encourages survivor play, but more importantly does not punish bandit play.(Bandits are necessary in this game.) This base would become a hotspot for PVP. Bandits that have been playing for days would love to kill these survivors and take the base for their own. However, they would always be outnumbered. Other Ideas - The use of fixing up a power station in this base to provide power to the town. Working Lights, Gas Pumps, This could also turn on the electric train. Maybe even global power with a management system? Current Game system - Spawn > Kill Everyone > Get Stuff > Keep Killing everyone > Die System it should be - Spawn > Band with other survivors to get stuff > Kill Bandits > Get Better Stuff > Become bored > Become a Bandit > Kill Survivors > Die. Thoughts? Ideas? I just found another Thread with something pretty much exactly like this. http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=20198

The disconnect timer has been looked at by the dev team for awhile. It would have been implemented along time ago if they could get it working. I don't care for the blood idea. I like this game to be as hard as it can. The water idea does make sense. Pond water should be boiled over a fire. They would also need to introduce something to boil it in than as well.

Very brief zombie behaviour suggestions
Lachmayne replied to RobbL (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Agreed! Great Idea OP. This could make wilderness an actual threat. Clearing out towns right now is sorta broken. You aggro all of the zombies in the town. After you kill them. They have already respawned in the town. It is a vicious cycle. -
Sorry, I didn't mean to call you an idiot. I just wanted to be cool. However I still think that it would break the suspense and the fun of the game. Zombies scare the shit out of me, only because I am scared of the attention that I have to attract to myself with the bandit over the hill. Having PVP adds so many more layers to the game that would not be there without it. This would bring up more problems with people staying in non-pvp servers and getting copious amounts of awesome loot and then griefing on actual servers. I just don't see how this game could be fun without any bandits. If anything there should be some kind of negative effect placed upon bandits.

Hello, I am unable to place a tent. I am getting "You cannot place a tent here, area must be flat and free of other objects." I tried this on very flat areas with nothing around them and it still isn't working. I read in another post about a week ago that it was bugged out. Is this still an issue and are the devs aware of it?
-
Maybe you can also suggest to the DEV team to put up servers without any infected in them. Its not about PVP. Its about survival. This is something that you would encounter in this actual situation. The DEV team is not going to do this. Also...Your an idiot.

Congratulations... 1,000,000 Murders
Lachmayne replied to CrimsonBlade's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Why? Just because there was a bandit system doesn't mean there needs to be one. -
Umm...What if I shoot him in the face? Will the defib still work?

there is no side chat, so you must bring back.....
Lachmayne replied to kauley_hatton@hotmail.co.uk's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The Bandit system didn't work. If they are going to reimplement this they will have to drastically change it, and it most likely will not be in the next couple of patches.
