I started playing with a cheap pair of headphones with only 2.1 channels i think it was, and could never tell where shots/sounds were coming from. Once I got headphones that supported simulated 7.1 surround, I noticed a a big difference in directional/situational awareness. With any skill though, it take time/practice/training to get better at it.

Rogovo is my town of choice! It's centrally located between Stary, NWAF, Vybor, and Zelenogorsk. I never have to travel far from it to find a crash site either. one complaint about it is it's kinda a hike to get to or from the coast.
