In a “real” Zombie apocalypse is PvP real or not../how i see thing, if anyone is interested/
johnsmith312 replied to snowcrash's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think only psychopaths can handle the emotional trauma of shooting someone in a real apocalypse. Put it this way, if you were stuck in the desert lost, wandering around with no supplies but you had a knife. If you found a stranger who was also lost but had food and was willing to share with you, would you kill them with your knife? If you would, you should go see a psychologist :) -
I agree with everything you said. Well I say that but your just plain wrong when you say Rocket and the Dev team aren't gods.

Cherno-There are no friendly's in Cherno...
johnsmith312 replied to hazzathealmighty's topic in New Player Discussion
I think you guys who are blabbing on about "Trust no one, everyone is out to get me" are just plain wrong, . While this is certainly occurs near player and loot hotspots such as Cherno, Electro, NW Airfield etc, but in the wilderness and in smaller towns away from the coast I have found many fellow survivors who were "friendly". The general theme that I see in these threads gives new players a view on the game where other players are only a source of danger, which will breed the next generation of bandits! -
I hope you guys continue making these. They always make me laugh.

Armed to the teeth, turned a corner, saw a guy and...

I took inspiration from this thread and tried it myself. I was hanging out near the outskirts of Cherno at the apartment buildings (fully kitted up with a spare Winchester rifle and bunch of ammo) waiting for someone to arrive. Eventually a player arrived with nothing but his torch, painkillers and a bandage, so I offered him the Winchester. He gratefully accepted and went on his way. I am suprised to say that this was one of the most satisflying moment I have had in DayZ. -
I feel the exact same way. Without communication teaming up is just a liability.

I had the same problem while equipping a Ghillie Suit which I found at Stary Sobor.

I met this one dude who was running through Cherno playing music and attracting as many zombies to himself as he could. Of my group of 3 he managed to get 2 of us with the last one ditching us.

A Radical PVP Game Change? Take Sniper Rifles Out.
johnsmith312 replied to justwrath's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think that Sniper Rifles are fine. If someone has the patience to sit on a hill for hour on end and watch a stretch of land, they deserve a kill. This is the life of a sniper. There are very few games out that give this same sort of experience.
