I only use my laptop which has an i7 3610QM @ 2.30GHz, 8GB RAM and a nvidia GEFORCE GT630M 2gb. The game runs quite well as it is and it's set to the default which is High. Playing on Very High it runs alright as well. I'm wondering if altering the advanced settings is worth it.

Hey, I'm wondering what video settings people are using to get the best results from DayZ.

Fly buzzing is everywhere but no bodies. It's as if every corpse that's ever been in the server before is still buzzing. Coast noise (waves crashing) is ridiculously loud and carries way too far. Sometimes character won't shoot/swing axe. Axe detection is sketchty at best and axe is far too common (4 in one building). I was hungry before (red but not flashing) so I ate and was still red ate another can and was still hungry. Eventually went red and flashing and after 10 minutes of this I reset. Zeds were trying to get to me in one of the industrial buildings (the largest multiple story one outside of Komarovo) and I was sitting on the walkway that backs onto the windows. While I was sitting there a Zed was trying to get to me via the entrance from the staircase. He would walk out the doorway get the the corner of the walk way glitch down to the bottom floor and glitch through the wall to the stairway and repeat this a few times. Only stopped when I relocated and the Zed moved to a different path to get to me.

Died to a Survivor who only had an axe and claimed to be friendly. I saw him sneaking over to me so I turned around to shoot him. For some reason my character refused to shoot and instead took multiple axe swings to the face. When I respawned my character wouldn't stop running backwards trying to move in any direction didn't fix it and when I logged and relogged (to try and fix) I log in to my character collapsing with about a 5 minute timer. What the?

Exactly what I was thinking...

Unfortunately if there was an area that geared up players spawned in you can bet there'd be a ton of Bandits there as well.

Do Zeds still see through walls? I was crawling past a barn and a Zed agrod on me from the top level. I was crawling to (3-4m away) another barn (smaller one) and a Zed spawned inside. Though he couldn't see me, he started walking out as I crawled around the corner and he agro'd and teleported on me. I broke his LOS and entered the barn and bandaged myself. Despite breaking LOS and being prone he was still agro'd and was trying to enter the barn through a slotted window. He and a friend glitched through the window and I had to kill them. Broke both my legs trying to climb up one of those lookout towers (not the deer stands) as I couldn't enter it and fell upon reaching the top. Ridiculous amount of Zeds in some towns as well. Otherwise it's been good.
