Hey not a bad idea. I like it if it has just a few medium yield items like you say. This would go great with the "paratrooper" suggestion where you can find a soldier hanging by a parachute from a tree. So you would have helo crashes in the fields (high grade military), troopers in the forest (mid grade military), and cop cars crashes on the roads with a shotgun or pistol. So 5 of each per map adds a LOT of stuff to find. Easy to implement and give 200% more "random" things to find per map.

I have heard that is is supposed to be a week, but is only 2 days now due to glitches/testing. Also the way i understand it is that if you want to keep the tent you need to take your stuff out and re-deploy a tent with the new character. Of course you need a tent item for this. I don't trust tents at all. They are one of the most buggy things about the game, if not *the* most buggy.

I used Arma 2 Free for a couple months, and it does suck, but it does work. Why don't you just go on Steam and download the ArmA 2 "Demo" which is ArmA 2 Free. Then you have both on Steam. Also, this might help a little: How to integrate ArmA 2 Free and OA

AS50 is not very loud at all. Compared to the M107 it is damn near silenced.

At this point I will not advocate private servers. Alt-f4 when in combat is shameful to me so I don't do it. I am just going to stick to the plan and hope some of these issues get worked out soon. I do understand the if I can't beat em, join em' but I don't play that way. Done the same as you, watched the list. These issues are rampant right now. A lot of people think it's OK. Not me.

I think they should incorporate the skins already in the game as well. Make the civilian ones about at common as the current cammo/ghillie. Make the cammo really hard to find, and make the ghille incredibly rare.

You lost me at the word Dell. I do not know about your model but in general Dell computers are not made for gaming in any sort of way unless you buy a specific gaming model. Dells are notoriously hard to upgrade so you might have a hard time. Go play ArmA 2 Free and report back,

I only trade ammo and I only trade one round at a time and I only give it. Seriously though do not drop ANYTHING on the ground that you want to see ever again. it is a terrible idea. Having said that, just do what clans and groups do - move the item out of/in to their pack.

Costs more money to store more information. The answer to almost every question is: money. To OP: do not get caught up with names and clan tags in this game because they mean almost nothing. I can play as [GHOST]DramaticExit all day long if I want. A serious clan would never use their real names or clan tags in-game. I mean, unless they want the whole world to know that they are ghosting tools...

Once I got bored of the hoarding phase I just like to run around and fight people. That's it, just run around and fight people.

Bugs dude. You have them.

Sometimes they disappear and re-appear. I have seen a whole camp full of vehicles come and go so many times, seems like every other reset. Usually if you have a lot of vehicles (and by a lot I mean at least 5 or 6 - yeah I am one of those guys) and they are all gone but the tents and items are there then it's a bug. After restart they come back. This only applies if you have a REALLY good hiding spot.

Like I said my 2 sites are here for the community to use, but on a personal level I want to play!

That is just one featured clan. It's more for either people yourself that are looking, or for small groups that need a private forum to communicate and a place to recruit. Going to be adding more LFG type features in the near future, just testing the framework out now. Keep an eye on the groups or you can make one and tell people you are looking to be recruited. Let me know if there is any other way to help you - I am trying to work it all out.

I am so down to help publicize this. I really want there to be some kind of competitive DayZ, Even if we make it ourselves. Please use the 2 sites in my sig and ask me if you need anything. I can totally post up a page with info or something for you. it's hard to find stuff on this board. Great idea, the only thing that could make it better is have it all in 1 city, but that can be done too and this is a great start towards something.
