You call it abuse, others call it performance. Everyone needs to make their own decision on what is more important - eye candy or FPS. Personally I will choose performance every single time in a multi player game. Pro gamers have been doing it for decades.

I get the same frames as you and I have one less core, and mine run at 2.2 GHZ. You also have a much newer GPU with double the memory of me. Average servers I get 35-40 and like 25-15 in the offices, etc. (the office really lags for me), There are some good server though where I get closer to 60 in the woods, 30 in town. For DayZ the server performance is about 50% of the equation I think. The best computer on Earth is going to be choppy if the server needs a restart.

Also try Game Booster Some people hate it, some people swear by it. I like that is kills unwanted processes and services. Also it has screenshots and and FPS counter that I rely on all the time now.

There are probably more hackers, but we should be able to trust the admins. Power corrupts, we all know that. Some people have shitty lives and they need a game to make them feel important.

Put memory on default and shadows all the way up or all the way down. Memory on default uses all the memory on your GPU. Putting shadows in the middle somewhere makes your CPU draw them, lagging your game. HDR and Post Processing all the way down helps. Also, AA should be off if you want the best performance. Ansitropic I leave all the way up, it doesn't seem to hurt and it looks a lot better.

My number 1 ultimate request is for doors to make a creaking sound (or any sound) when they open. Big metal warehouse doors should be pretty loud. The little interior doors like in the barracks would be very quiet.

It's frustrating to install, run, maintain, play, even some times the fun is quickly extinguished. But it is an awesome game,we just have to work through it. This thing isn't a fad. Lots of people will help, just don't find them in-game.

There is a bit of a learning curve, that will throw you off. Both the mod and the players are going through a lot of growing pains right now. Stick around and enjoy it, or come back too it later when it's more polished. ArmA 2 itself is worth every penny you spent. We will be here either way...

Snipers/campers love them. My overwatch always has me grab them when I am in town.

It is really easy to remove or vault (sometimes). The problem is that the people putting them are getting smarter (*shudder*) and are placing them so it's really hard to remove/bypass. Rocket has already said the wire is just a test, expect changes soon.
