Hey everyone, I've made numerous posts in this section, as well as recruited some of my current DayZ pals though these very forums, and I'm attempting to do it again. What we are: The group I run consists of about 10(at max) bandits, who all play to win but at the same time, play to have fun. It's a good mix of both, and I would want the same from a new person among my squad. We are a community of like-minded individuals. We aren't a clan, and we don't intend on calling ourselves one at anytime. I have no intention of making things overly serious. We have people who play all sorts of games, as well as being from all around the country. We have some players from the UK, Sweden, Estonia, Canada, and of course the US. Both coasts. What I'm looking for: I am looking for experienced DayZ players who aren't turned off by being a bandit, and enjoy that playstyle themselves. We do not harm unarmed players, or new players that establish contact with us over VoIP. We engage any armed players that we deem a threat, and we do not hesitate to do so. The name of the game is survival, and whatever keeps us alive, is what we will do. Some things I require.. # Must be 18. No exceptions. Unfortunately I've had some trouble in the past with younger individuals and I simply want to avoid any future problems. I hate to discriminate but that's just how it goes. Most of us are in our 20s, myself being 26. # Must speak english. # 3 or more weeks of DayZ experience. I will make SOME exceptions to this, but only after I talk to you first. # A tactical approach to the game, and the serious mindset that comes with it. This is a very important one. I need players who know how to properly call out enemy positions if we start taking fire. Being able to communicate, think ahead, and plan ahead to eliminate your target safely is paramount here. I want to keep everyone alive if I can help it, and I will do my best in order to pull that off, but being able to handle yourself as well just makes my job easier. # Maturity. This is pretty much common sense. We're not a serious group of guys. We're friendly, we crack jokes at each other all the time and we kick back and have fun. I wouldn't have it any other way. We don't cry. We don't bitch about gear. Sure we bitch sometimes after we die, but it's never towards anyone else. It's mostly us realizing how we could of prevented something that already happened. I think this is to be expected from a game like DayZ. It's all good to joke around, but when we're in a dangerous area in game, and attention & critical thinking must be put first, I need people to be able to snap into "the zone" and get in the game. # Teamspeak 3, and a working microphone(preferably a decent one). This is mandatory. Here's what I am offering to anyone who would like to join up. We have our own DayZ server. It is based out of NY, and has a solid population. Usually medium pop, but spikes up to high during prime time on most nights. I will also obviously provide a teamspeak server. As far as the DayZ server goes, it is monitored by myself throughout the day that I am online, and I'm extremely proactive against cheating of any kind. I do not condone duping, combat logging, scripting, using hacked weapons, etc etc. Either play the game legit, or don't play at all. Words I live by. I've banned over 100 hackers since the new BE server-side event logging was put into place. That number will continue to climb. Overall, my server has been clean lately, and we haven't had a server-wide teleport or kill command in almost two weeks. I'd call that pretty good. Anyway, I'm only looking for about 4 to 5 people. You can send me a PM here, and from there I will give you the TS3 information so we can talk. If you show me that you follow the guidelines I've specified, as minimal as they are, then I'd love to have you. If you end up being a dick, or disrespectful to myself or anyone else OR if you kill anyone that is in our teamspeak, it's immediate grounds for a ban, and if you harass anyone on my server, you'll be banned from there as well, blacklist be damned. Looking forward to hearing from some people. Btw, UK players feel free to apply. Nothing but love for the brits, plus you'll probably ping fine to my server since it's based out of NY. I've added you, and send a msg to join my TS3 server. We don't use skype. I only use it for things not gaming related generally.

Normally I don't use ATI Tray Tools but I downloaded it and changed the variable in multi-threading support. I'll post back if it works or not.

Just woke up. Felt good to sleep in on a sunday. I pop open my ACP panel, and check my remoteexec.log. Sure enough, it's recorded entries recently. So I dig in. To my surprise I see a long list of guilty people. When all is said and done, I've banned TWENTY ONE people in the last 20 minutes. From trying to spawn vehicles, to blatant invisibility cheats, to a teleport, to attempting to kill the server. It's truly laughable. If anyone wants a list of GUIDS for you to add to your server, PM ME.

Why not just use a regular fal in conjunction with nvgs? This way it can also be used during the day. Meh.

Hey, I'll keep this short. My squad's out of town tonight, and I'm looking to gather up maybe 4-5 people tops to get together & play. I'm looking for people who know how to be tactical, who aren't a baby, can take jokes, and are 18+. Sorry, I'm 26 and I just have a better time gaming with people who are in my age bracket. Nothing personal. Looking for people with a good amount of experience with the game, the layout of the map, etc etc. I will provide a teamspeak 3 server, as well as a DayZ server if so inclined to play there. This is just for tonight, but we'll see what happens after the fact. If it ends up being fun for all parties, then you'll be able to join the teamspeak whenever. PM me here if you're interested. Oh. Only bandits need reply. I engage all threats unless unarmed. No questions asked. Whether you're a sniper, or CQB I don't really care. :)

Don't post IPs on a public forum. Guids are enough. And yes, ban every one of them for creating vehicles.

Normally, this isn't THAT bad, but hackers get bored quick and move on to killing everyone so I took the server down and prevented it. Unfortunately dude, you're probably going to have to let yourself die of starvation and dehydration. From now on, play on servers that have the latest BE files, and are logging server-side events. My server is currently doing this, as well as many others. The amount of bullshit will reduce greatly.

Oppa, pm sent. About 22 guids of cheaters there. :) More where that came from, but I really don't have the time to copy & paste probably over 100 guids, and removing every single IP. lol. When I have time, I'm going to make a new document, with all of these guids along with their reasoning, and then .RAR it and host the file for download somewhere. Will also add to community ban-list when that time comes as well. That will take some free time to do. EdIt: For future reference, I've cleaned out my pms.

Buckett, check out Billy May's Chicago Private Server. You have to goto BMRF.ME to register on their website, and provide them with your player ID. This is how you get whitelisted and allowed into the server. If you don't go through this process, the server will auto-kick you every time. Pretty neat feature. I believe the settings are 3D:ON CH: OFF. No waypoints. Veteran server. It's always high pop, and there's always an admin present. It's the only private hive I'll play on. They do add extra vehicles, I believe. Almost double, but generally it's not like you see them all over the place(breaking immersion). It's still very well run. You'll have to deal with side chat antics, but thats the case with all private servers.

Goto your ACP panel. Goto "Log Files" then find "Remoteexec.log". If there are entries in there, chances are they were doing something they shouldn't of been. There's no reason a legitimate player should be logged in that file. Remoteexec.log is the important one.

Each player that applied would go through a lengthly interview, with it ending over voice comms so I can get a feel for the kind of character/player they are. If they fit the bill, they get the password and go on probationary status for about a week. If all goes well, they stay. If they do anything stupid, they get warned. They disregard my warning? They get banned. Pretty simple.

I run a vilayer server, and he's right. You only have access to edit certain files.

Hey man, I'm not qqing. I run my own server, I'm just telling you what I know from experience. If you overstep your boundaries, you're going to have players bitching, and we all know some of them act more self entitled than we admins do -- so it's not uncommon for them to "report" your server for not following the rules, and then it doesn't matter anymore. You'll have to put up(evidence) or shut up(unban them). It sucks we don't have all that much power, but it's getting better slowly. I think as the mod gets opened up more since they're starting to shift to stand-alone, you'll see them granting admins more power to kick/ban.

What a whiny, self-entitled little brat. Jesus, I hate people like this. One time I had to do an emergency shut down on my server since everyone got teleported to a random location and people were starting to shoot at each other. So what did I do? Immediately minimized, risking my life by not alt f4ing, clicked my acp tab, and hit "Stop". Started the server back up, and some little punk ass started saying something like "Oh, another abusive admin. Did someone kill you?" I said "Hey asshole, did you not notice the fucking hacker that teleported everyone to the middle of fucking no where and was about to light up 20+ people? I just saved probably 15 peoples characters and you want to call me abusive? Where were you when that teleport happened? Did you get lucky, or did you execute it?" and then I had about 4 other people in the lobby say.. "Raped." lol Fucking kids man. You cannot do anything good for people. Players are more ungrateful than server admins in a lot of cases and it's disgusting. You want to talk about abusive admins being bad? Sure. But not nearly as bad as the cry babies who bitch even though they've paid nothing to play this mod, while we're providing them with servers to play on, and trying to prevent a hacker from killing them. I rarely even get time to play now because I am constantly watching my console/rcon/all of my log files. Monitoring every little thing. It's become a job, and a chore.. but I do it because I give a shit about the people who play on my server. I also do it ALONE, because I don't have anyone I trust with admin yet, nor do I know anyone who I feel would know what to do so... yeah.. do it by myself. It's loads of FUN. :/
