So we have 2 .50 cals that are designated overwatch now. Obviously I can't tell you you can't be a sniper, but I'd really love to meet some people who prefer being on the front lines with an AR. :)

They are despawned as of now for a couple of reasons. They were creating massive desync issues, server wide. And also, there was a bug that caused them to leak fuel even though the hull was fully repaired.

I looted some anti-biotics off a guy I took out at NWAF, and I've had them in my bag for a rainy day. Literally, since a lot of time I'm outside sitting still for a good amount of time, my temp drops fairly quickly. Kind of common for me to have 1 heatpack on me now if I know I'm going to be providing overwatch. If it rains, it gets cold very quick. No use in having a fire since it's a giant "LOOK HERE" sign. It's I think only the second time I've ever seen them. I got them ages ago one time, and destroyed em because the temperature system wasn't working yet anyway.

I would actually love knowing there was a bounty on my head. More stress. It would be a "Come and get it" type of vibe. I'd be down for it, like say if there was a bounty board that you could literally walk up to in Cherno, Elektro and Berezino that listed say the 5 players on the server(alive) with the highest murder count. It wouldn't give out too much information. Just a name, and murder count. Possibly type of weapon, so you know what to look for but even that can be too much information. The option to do this is already available within arma. It could use a system like the fast travel system at the ARMEX air-strip in arma. Just approach the sign, and instead of it being fast travel, it lists a number of players and their murder counts. This would update with each server reset so it's manageable. And if the player has died, they are removed at the restart and replaced.

True, but it really depends on the weapon. If he was hit with the AS-50, at a range further than say 500m (Perfect range to take a shot with that gun), he wouldn't of heard it. All he would of heard was the crack of a bullet, if that. An M107, yeah...you might of heard it since it's damn loud. That's why I love mine. When you hear an M107 going off close by, it's a rather intimidating sound because most people associate that sound with a .50 BMG being fired. The AS-50 in comparison is like a single "Clink" sound. It's basically silent death. :P I've had both, and I still prefer the M107 however. I got my longest confirmed kill with it at 980M or there abouts. Broad daylight, no fog. And I hit him exactly where I aimed for. I zeroed for 1000, and aimed right around the neck area. The shot took about 2 seconds to reach the target. Probably a little more I'd say. I got lucky because at that range it's pretty damn hard to see a target, let alone pick a spot on the target you wish to hit. He was looting as well, which gave me my only shot opportunity. He was actually trying to loot someone on my teamspeak who just got taken down in cherno. I was nearby when he got dropped so I came running down south to the hill that over looks the factory district, and sure enough he climbed that damn ladder to the tower, and I waited until he crouched down. He wasn't at 1000m, or you wouldn't of hit him. And I say that with 100% certainty and I'll stand behind it 100%. To hit someone with a DMR at 1000m, you'd have to be aiming so high that the thick part of the crosshair would be obstructing your view of the target, and without zeroing, and or practicing that specific scenario, it's almost impossible to know at what point of the crosshair you need to place on the vital area you're trying to hit on the target. Try out a mission called the Shooting Range. It can be found on armaholic. You'll thank me later. The DMRs peak range is around 500m. That's aiming dead on(You'll hit low at 500 but not by a whole lot. 2 or 3 rounds will lights out your target). The zeroing is specifically 400m. No matter if you're zoomed in or not, contrary to popular belief. Some people have said the DMR is zeroed for 300m, some have said the first zoom is 300, and the second is 400. Both theories are wrong, and if you've practiced with the weapon ranges from 100 to 900m, you'd see that quickly. I set a target out at 400m with the DMR. The bullet splash was identical every time. 5 shots with the first zoom. 5 shots fully zoomed in. Punching holes that a penny would cover in real life. There is no variation. The max effective range of the DMR in my experience, where a one hit head-shot will kill instantly, is around 700m. At that range, even if you land a head-shot square, it won't always be a kill, and sometimes it gives people a chance to log out. They will go down every time, and you'll think they're dead because you see the blood splash up from their forehead, but they still have time to ALT-F4. If I have a DMR, I let them get within 400m. Just to be sure I put them out before they have a chance. Better to be patient than try to be a hero.

Bandicam is my personal fav honestly. Used to use fraps. I reluctantly tried bandicam when I first heard about it, and it's basically fraps with more features, and files are about 95% the quality of fraps, don't get split into multiple files, and are a little bit smaller in size generally.

I honestly don't know everything I have equipped. My weapons are in my sig, obviously... but other high value items are... # Standard med kit (2 Bandages, 2 Morphine, 1 blood bag, 2 painkillers Coyote backpack NVG GPS Mountain Dew (Never drinking it. My good luck charm.) Still waiting on that damn rangefinder. I can never find one damnit. I was wearing a ghillie, but that's gone now. :(

I've known about them for a while. Had no idea they could be exploited by others though. I assumed that was map markers, which is entirely different.

I play EXTREMELY cautious. If I come to a field with hay bales, I move from cover to cover. When I hit a field, I seek the closest woodline and run parallel with it and I always serpentine run(zig zagging). When I'm playing with a group of 4, I usually always have them move in a "diamond" so that if we take fire, each person can engage N S E and W without our lines of fire crossing each other. I've had people I play with say "Don't you think you're being a bit too cautious?" And I say "Nope. If you want to die first, go ahead. ;)"

I giggle at every person that specifically posts their computer specs in their signatures. OP: Keep looking for a dedicated GPU. Most alienware laptops have one, and like others have said before me, it can be toggled.

50 cal round most likely. 1 shot kill anywhere on the body. Think a 50 cal does something like 30K + blood damage to the body(anywhere). So there's nothing you can do, and yeah...getting hit with a 50 in real life is certain death. Theres been confirmed reports of a 50 cal round cutting a man clean in half at 1000+ meters away. Think about that. :o
