It really comes down to imagination and role-playing when it comes to finding other things to do, but if he wants the game to be a successful product, he'll have to add more content that's set-in-stone so to speak because you have to remember, a large portion of players aren't playing the game for the RP aspect. They want clear-cut objectives, etc. The good thing is we're still in Alpha and we have plenty of time for these features to be added, and if it's a stand-alone game at any point, they probably will. For example, the underground bunker/base feature that Rocket is working on. If he thought of that, I can only wait impatiently as to find out what else he's dreaming of. I myself don't mind RP, and this is a great game to do it with. Just saying, to keep this amount of unique players active in the game, there's going to have to be more content. Time will tell.

US188. Come find this bandit :) In all seriousness though, I think there should be be something added to the game as far as bounties go. It's been suggested a ton of times, and I hope Rocket listens. I imagine it wouldn't be a small task though, since he'd have to implement it and find a way to keep it interesting, and keep it from being abused.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I've done everything there is to do on this character, to the point where I kind of want someone to get the best of me already(I'm sure as hell not going to hang it to them on a plate though.) so I can start over and go through the process again because I do enjoy the stress-free start of a new character, and I also like to partake in the all out makarov war in elektro from time to time if I'm getting shot at anyway, otherwise I just grab what I need and keep moving.. that said -- there isn't much for me to do now except go looking for pvp which is fine, because pvp and the tension it creates is my favorite thing about the game for sure.

I may not always shoot people with just a pistol, but if they happen to look my way, or don't respond to me telling them to "holster" their weapon, or drop it.... I'm going to put them out. Why? Because I can't look through a computer monitor and tell just how close their finger is hovering over their left mouse button -- so I remove the problem before it has a chance to begin. Also, I think he may be referring to explosions, which in most cases is usually some hacker running around with unlimited satchel charges blowing up buildings. Can't tell you how many times I've seen it happen right in front of me. Or people exploiting the unlimited grenade glitch that's going around right now(Don't know if it's been hotfixed yet). A lot of action takes place in Cherno. It's the biggest hot-spot in the game in my opinion. Elektro is basically Cherno on a more condensed scale. You're bound to have action there. Between the freshies running around spamming Makarovs, to the terribles camping up on the northern hill with AS50s and M107s killing people with flashlights because they're afraid to go up north and be shot back at. Yea, but the thing is just the simple fact you felt remorse, and guilt for doing this -- makes you stand out from 95% of the other people who do it, so don't get so down on yourself. You actually suicided out of guilt. That alone is pretty remarkable. I mean, I'm a bandit. Best idea here. The fact is you really have no way of knowing that anyone responding to this thread is friendly or not. I can put "Friendly" in my signature, and I can still login and shoot you in the face. That's what anonymity does. At least search in threads where people make it publically known they are a group of survivors who are out to help people. In some cases, those threads will have someone confirming that they did indeed get helped by that person, or persons. Consider it a little safety net if you will. Otherwise, post up a thread looking for someone to play with. You'll be taking your chances, but you may come out of it with a friend. Besides, you really need to play this game with at least another person, since you cannot do a blood transfusion on yourself, and if you get hurt to the point you're at sub 2K blood, shaking, and can't see.. it's quite hard to go animal hunting for 10+ cooked meats just to be in good shape again.

I do something similar to this yes, and it's worked for me as well. Usually I do this when I'm running without my group, or if I'm in a situation where I don't have any bandages at that moment and can't afford to start bleeding. Other times, I'm more concerned with getting in a town, getting what I need and getting OUT as fast as possible, because if there are other survivors in the area, my presence will most likely be detected by either visual confirmation at range, or by the sound of gunfire if I have to deal with a zombie. So in certain situations, I like to just run in, lead the zombies inside, drop them quickly with my 1911, and then grab what I need and bail. Other times, I take it low and slow because I can't afford to be hit & bleed. You really have to choose wisely based on the situation. Remember, that every time you approach a town slow, and are crawling/creeping around, if anyone happens to be near by and sees you, they'll have so many shot opportunities because of the slow movement. Always remember that. And yes, that seemed like sarcasm on that other posters part. But don't worry, he's probably just another person who thinks because he knows how to play the game, makes him somehow better than anyone else at video games. If I'm wrong, I apologize... but it's still laughable none the less. OP: There is a new players section just for these kind of questions, and people who aren't dicks will generally help you. Even though I think the idea is a bit silly, since you're just inviting yourselves to be killed and camped, I do have to respect the fact you're actually thinking outside the box with the game, going against the grain you could say, and that is obviously bandits -- however I can't really bash on bandits since I am one, and I prefer the pvp element of the game. With that said, I think it's absolutely fucking retarded for these kids to be sitting there camping people with AS-50s and NVGs let alone duping the items. Come dupe your shit on US188, come to the NWAF, and you'l find me and a legitimate bullet for a legitimate M107. Do it without ghosting and i'll hand you a medal.

Yes Demon. My M4A1 CCO SD is doing this. If I log out with any of the mags at less t han 30 rounds, I'll have a full mag again. I've purposely checked this by firing off about 5 rounds from each mag, and then logging off. When I came back, ALL of my magazines were full. No complaints here lol. I can't make it NOT happen, so until it's fixed it's not really an exploit. They have to fix it unfortunately.

Still doesn't make sense though, because I know for a fact I am dropping military zeds with one round from a .45ACP still (1911 or Revolver, doesn't matter). I haven't had any extra trouble with them. I can still drop the military zeds at the airfield with two 5.56 rounds to the chest, and that's always been that way. Can still kill them with a single headshot from a 9mm as well.

So what if he did? There's no rule saying he can't camp at a valuable loot location. It's other peoples job to check and clear the area before rushing in headstrong. If you rush into the barracks without first looking through the windows on the back side, to make sure there's no one in there doing just that, you deserve to walk in and take a bullet(s) to the face. I've done the same thing he has done, except in a different way. I'll sit with my .50 cal in the compound(metal industrial shack) aiming right at the doorway to the northern barracks. If someone spawns in there, they die. And there's nothing saying I can't do that as a bandit. Some people may dislike it, but the fact remains. Either A) You served hopped the barracks, or B) You were dumb enough to log off in possibly the worst area in the entire game for PK'ing. My goal is more about getting the people that spawn in there with the intention of hopping for loot. I sat in my spot one day, just for kicks and didn't shoot anyone unless they were leaving the barracks and approaching my position. In about 3 hours, I counted almost 15 people who spawned in there, milled around for 30 seconds, and then disappeared. I was disgusted to be honest, but I had to see it for myself. Now they start eating bullets.

Don't see this working, after a while... the people playing with you, who get killed enough times because had to sit there and wait until someone put a round into their skull, are going to say "Screw this, I'm not wasting my time anymore. Just going to shoot first and ask questions later from now on." And you've successfully added another bandit to the ranks, thanks for the population boost! We bandits appreciate it! Hardly. It has multiple functions, and it's good for close quarters and medium distance engagements. The only thing I don't like about it is using the Eotech holo when it's twilight, since the sight tends to blur in low light(which is semi realistic actually.) It shoots just as far and just as accurate as the standard M4 CCO does, but has the grenade launcher for someone who is barricaded indoors of say the ATC, and there up top and prone aka: hiding.. Hit the windows with an HE = Dead guy.

The group still hasn't commented on why there was hacked items in that URAL during that one video. Care to comment on that? If the ammo was there, then I imagine the gun was as well at one point, and someone from your group may have it equipped. Watch the second video, where the player approaches the URAL that's parked in the pine trees.

In that second video, when you're on the hill looking at that URAL and other vehicles. Is that before you stole it? Or afterwards. Because if it's afterwards, then you're either using hacked equipment that belonged to someone prior to you, or you were the group that actually scripted it into the game. No gun in the game uses the .338 Lapau Magnum cartridge. The L115 uses it but it's not in DayZ. Let's hope you just stole the vehicle with it already "onboard" so to speak, and even so.. you should of deleted it by now hopefully.
