I'm using an M107 and a Coyote backpack just fine without any issues. It was a bug. Or else I'd be having the issue myself. Just figured I'd update the thread.

Just because you can't get banned for picking it up, doesn't mean you should use it. Dump it off somewhere else. Or let your bag eat it. Honestly man. Get a legitimate AS50.

Honestly, I can't read these threads. The guy gives you gear you didn't obtain legitimately, including a gun which no player can obtain in DayZ without hacks, and the first thing you thought was "I'll keep it and use it even though no one else can." Sigh. Cool I guess?

I've done it on multiple occasions. One less person that I kill that I have to worry about running straight back to his camp to gear up with high quality equipment to come and become a threat to me again. Call it trolling all you want, it's a valid tactic. Tents get found every hour of every day.

Done it more than once, successfully. At least I say successfully because the person had no idea where I was shooting from since I missed a few times trying to hit him on the run. Eventually he stopped and ate dirt.

That's not what fragging is, and it's never stood for that and I've been playing FPS games since CS 1.5 and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Fragging = Killing. In general. Or it refers to grenading someone depending on the way you use the word. Friendly Fire = Accidental fire between team-mates that sometimes results in death.

Good for you. Enjoy your lower performance when you get multiple people on the server with 200-400ms pings. I'm paying for the server, and I have that right. Fork out the money for a server closest to you and then set your own limit. Simple as that.

That's what I was thinking. I would imagine you'd just need a second OA cd-key, and then you can backup your old registry/key folder so in case it doesn't revert back, you can just copy over the old information when you want to switch back to your older character. Disclaimer: If you don't know how to use your registry, you should not be altering it in anyway, and I take no responsibility if you read this post and mucked up your registry while trying it. I'm going to try it out. You only need one copy of arma 2 installed to play this way, and can just switch keys back and forth to load up different characters, which is awesome.

Been saying this for a while. And it's the only thing that has me on the fence about purchasing a 40 slot server. I'm most likely still going to do it, but to be honest it's going to take a lot of persuasion from the higher ups to keep me from banning a hacker in my server if I catch his tag. Blacklist be damned, I'm not going to let some neckbeard punkass ruin the time of the legitimate players who call my server home. Fuck that.

Do you have to buy another copy of Combined Operations to do this? Or just OA expansion since that's what DayZ is running from?

Sorry bro, I'm not going to raise the ping limit on my server to anything higher than 200ms. One person with extremely high ping will bring down the performance of the whole server if it gets high enough. Just like everyone else has said, typically anything over 125ms or so is considered high ping. You may only get a half second of delay, but you teleport around on other peoples screens which often gives you the advantage even though you'd think with a higher ping you'd be the one at a disadvantage.

Got myself into a 1v3 situation at Stary Sobor the other day. One guy was up on the northern hill providing overwatch with a DMR, and the other two were down in the tents. One had an AKM, the other an m4a1 cco. Hit the guy on the hill with my m107, he was dead instantly. I was by the broken down car on the road just west of the hill. Well, the other guy must of heard my shot and told them where I was when he went down. I look back towards the tents, and the guys with the ARs were actually doing the correct thing and were starting to rush my location. They were zig-zagging the whole way, and I don't know how I did it by I sent a hail mary shot down range and dropped one of them, and then took out my 1911 since the other guy was about 50 meters from me. I stood up, dumped a whole 1911 mag into the guy and put him down too, but he wasn't dead when I went to check his body. So I finished him off there. It was extremely lucky, but I made out. I honestly thought I was a goner when I saw them rushing and I wasn't about to ALT F4 or get up and run. 3 Murders in about 30 seconds.

Exactly. How is the guy an idiot? Could he magically view your computer screen and see that you had no bullets? For all he knew, you had a .50 cal pointed at his back at point blank range. Good on you for not killing him outright, that was a good show... but still.. there was no way for him to know you were bluffing. If you got caught with your pants down like that, either you would of done what the bandit said, alt f4'd or tried to turn around just to get shot in the face.

Pipe bomb/satchel charge is in the game. I've found them at the barracks before on more than one occasion. One time I was playing with a group who were loot cycling the barracks when I joined up with them, and after taking everything out, we had one show up on the next spawn. So, thats how I know there in the game. They are just extremely rare to my knowledge. PS: I myself don't loot cycle. My squad doesn't need to do it.

You don't always kill people with a headshot if you take a long'ish shot. I can't tell you how many times I've hit people with a DMR in the neck/head area, and it doesn't always kill outright. Most of the time it will, just not 100%. Especially if they are out of the effective range. I've hit people at 200m in the head, and they somehow still have time to alt f4. Idk if they died before their buddy could patch them up on the next server they join, but I certainly didn't get a murder on those occasions.

Typically the most dangerous spot in the game as far as up north is concerned. There's usually more action in cherno and elektro, but still... NWAF is extremely dangerous. Snipers flock there because they know people will surely come by since it has the 2 best military loot locations in the game besides choppers.

He did say that, but that still doesn't mean you should use it.

It'll run the game just fine on normal/high settings. If it's a big sluggish at 1080p just run it at 720. My 5770 runs the game at 35-40ish fps at 1080p with everything on normal. If I play on 720p, I get around 50. I tend to keep it on 720 now when I play for recording purposes. Files are just way too big when I'm recording video in 1080p. This game uses more CPU than GPU in my experience. I have an i7 2600k though.

Why can't you save me the time and just say what's going on? :|
