Saw the second murder where you're camping under the double evergreen trees on sniper hill, in an obviously duped ghillie with an obviously duped AS50. Closed that shit real quick. Not to mention you're shooting scrubs with fucking axes and makarovs trying to just loot the town. Go up north and face off against some players with gear, or tell me what server you're on so I can just nail you at 1km. You rush your shots, you have no patience, you sound like you're practically getting your rocks off for the first time in your life, it's actually pretty pathetic to watch. Sacriel, Oshiseven, Dave Somin(Sammy) all make quality "montages". Seems you missed the mark.

This is probably your best one yet. You love that M14 though? I can't deny that for the kind of engagements you get into, it really can't be beat. It's dead on accurate, and with the CCO optics it's simple to acquire your target and if you hit the first shot square, it's a guarantee they'll be either dead or knocked out cold and won't be a problem from that point on. It's also good for mid-range as well. Love it, but I carry an assault rifle just in case I get into a situation that I'd want to go spray and pray. Can't part with my M4A3 :(

Haven't seen you either sweet cheeks. ;) Btw, if you didn't actually loot the AS50 from a helicopter yourself, then there's probably a good 50% chance that the person it belonged to previously, whether you raided it from their tent, or shot them and took it, probably duped it in. Hence why pretty much damn near every tent you would find in 1.7.2.4 and upwards, had at least 3+ in them. Who needs to store 3 AS50s and the same amount of L85s? Oh right, probably no one in their right mind. Sure some people prefer other guns but want to stow these particular ones for certain situations, but generally that's not the case with most people.

It's called desync, and you'll get it no matter how good your internet connection is. You could have 100mb and you'll still get it because it has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with the hive syncing up with the server your playing on as it sends and request data. If the hive is responding too slow, you'll get the chain, and then it'll pick itself up and work over-time to get things back where they should be, which is exactly what happened to the OP. OP: The hive is being moved to a new machine, that will supposedly lower the amount of desync(what you experienced) you'll have in game. It may change it for the better, or it may not change it at all. Remember, you have almost 5000 servers all trying to sync up to the hive to get the data they need for every single thing that happens on the server. This is also a big reason why zombies are basically attached to your client. You load your own zombies whenever you spawn them, etc etc.

Bolded for emphasis. This is the major complaint among players. Me personally, I never see a need for a clan/squad to have more than 3 vehicles, in any situation. Generally, you'll only take the one that fits everybody anyway, as to not put more than one vehicle at risk of being stolen, or shot/blown up.

Very true. I have set mine for 250, and even that is generous by most game server standards. Hell, a lot of them kick for 150, but I feel that effects euro gamers far too much. Especially Germany/UK. Seems to be working pretty good at that number. High pingers (300+) can and will slow down server performance, and besides, theres 4000+ DayZ servers up, SURELY there is at least ONE where they ping just fine to.

You think this recent bunch of people posting "I quit" posts are bad, you should of been around about a month after cataclysm(last exp) was released. Dear god, I think there were 100+ quit posts each day, all saying the same exact thing but worded differently. Just say "k bye" and move along. I myself am taking a good week or so break from DayZ due to hacking, and it actually starting to get to me, making me angry, etc... so I knew it was time for a break at that point. No, absolutely not. I've been around the block with this game since May now. I have my own server, as well as having put massive amounts of hours into this. There are simply times when if used correctly, there is NO WAY OVER IT unless you have a toolbox, and this is an issue for new spawns. People with end-game loot who have nothing better to do should not be able to completely make buildings unlootable by a new spawn. As I said in my other post, there is a widespread consumable dupe glitch going on right now, where you can dupe any item that activates a green box saying "use item" in your inventory screen. You can dupe it in real time as well, so as long as you have one of the item, you have an endless supply of it. Until this gets fixed, it needs to go. I had to get a new instance ID because some idiot thought it would be cool to use this glitch on EVERY BUILDING THAT COULD BE ENTERED FROM KOMAROVO TO SOLNICHNIY. That's the problem. The stuff comes back on every server restart, even if you took it down. This is another issue with the hive not updating itself properly. Fix that, and it can stay in... but only if you fix that issue as otherwise, it's just going to cause grief.

Yes, take it out for now please. Until it is known to be 100% working correctly without causing any artifacting for the user, it should not be in the game. As it is, only a very select few are using this stuff for it's intended purpose of safeguarding tents, vehicle stashes, securing an entrance to a building they may be in. Most are simply using it to grief new spawns by covering almost every lootable building's entrance, and until the consumable dupe is fixed(you can easily dupe the barbed wire/tanktraps/sandbags in REAL TIME, it needs to go. People can simply make it impossible for a fresh spawn to enter a building from komarovo all the way to elektro. It's a troll item as it is right now, plus it causes artifacting in some cases. I say remove it. For now.

What do you mean harvest your guid? You're aware every server admin of every server you've connected to since you started playing DayZ has your GUID on file, right?

This has happened to me and my squad tons of times now when trying to flip over atvs or other vehicles. It's hilarious. In fact I think a friend of mine put a video of it on youtube but I'll be damned if I remember the link or what to search for.

I've heard through the grapevine that a lot of tent cities are found in the very northwestern corner of the map, just outside the map boundary. Never really decided to hop servers to check for them since I have my own camp(used to, fucking 1.7.2.5) or I just get my loot from players or loot spawns and I have everything I want, vanity and effectiveness wise, minus an M4A3 CCO which I want just for it's look and it's a solid gun. Even willing to ditch my L85 for it, if anyone has one.

As the topic states, I'm quite tired of my AS50 and to be honest, it's simply too easy to use. Great if you want someone down for the count quickly, but that's not quite my style. Going for headshots is more my thing, as it hones my skill and makes me more of an effective marksman in this game. I made a post about this yesterday but it looks like it got buried.. so.. Here's what I'm offering... I have.. AS50 + 2 M107 mags(20 rounds) One pair of NVGs. One or the other... For your.. M24 with at least one DMR mag. Preferably two. Also, another trade I will do.. My L85A2 AWS for your M4A3 CCO. Straight up. Ammo not included as both guns require the same ammunition type. As you can tell, I am after these items strictly for vanity. They are my favorite weapons in the game that I've used personally, but you don't come across them all that often, even if they aren't as statistically rare as the AS50, NVGs and L85(maybe not anymore with all the duping). I truly feel you're getting the better end of the deal, but I want the items so it's a win for both sides and a good trade in my eyes. The stipulations: I will NOT do this trade unless you are present in MY teamspeak server. This helps ease tension on both ends. I may or may not bring an overwatch to cover my ass. First off, I am indeed a bandit, but I do not kill other survivors unless I am being threatened in some way. If this situation is non threatening, then obviously you have nothing to worry about. I will have a heartbeat, so don't let that scare you off. Once we discuss the terms for both sides, the trade can go forward. If I have anyone online, I will ask that he come as a bystander, overwatch. He will make himself known to you, giving you his location, if it makes you feel more comfortable. We will approach with our weapons LOWERED from the moment we are within visual range of each other and until we log off with our spoils. Sounds pretty straight forward. You're so uninformed and full of shit it's not even funny. Lol. Call me a fanboy of Chris and Fred all you want, I just know they make quality videos. The fact is, they SHOW themselves gearing up almost every time. Half of their streams are them regearing through cherno and elektro and killing people with superior firepower who engage THEM first, and don't live to tell about it, thus them getting geared up. They have shown ONE, and I repeat ONE video where they engaged players in the coastal cities, and every single person they engaged were either A) a camping sniper on the north hill, or someone camping on a rooftop with an AS50/L85 combo, OR a squad who was a threat to them just outside the city, and when theres 5 or 6 guys against 4 or 5 of you, there's going to be a fight, 100% of the time. Sure, they are still bandits but the fact remains, they produce some of the most quality PVP videos for this game, period.

Trade went smoothly with The_Flying_Muffin, he acquired a pair of NVGs and an AS50(was going to rot anyway), and I acquired an M24 and some much needed M9 SD mags. :)

To end the debate, the M4A1 HOLO is in DayZ and is a very rare chance out of the barracks, and only the barracks to my knowledge but I may be wrong and it could be found on chopper crash sites. However, the M4A1 HOLO/M203 SD is the hacked in variant. Only the non suppressed version of this weapon is in DayZ. Also, 7 stanag magazines isn't exactly hard to come by. They are everywhere. Personally, I'd trade you an AS50 if it were a regular M4A3 CCO. The holo, even as nifty as it is with the GL attachment bothers me in certain cases, because the suns glare will totally blank out the sight picture/optics if you're facing in a certain direction, thus rendering you completely unable to even aim should someone be firing at you from said direction. At least that was my experience with it. The optic became almost invisible.
