If I did it intentionally, then yes that's a problem. You're intentionally using a weapon that is directly tied to hacking, and has obvious advantages over every weapon in the game.. My coyote backpack that got duped when I put on my ghillie suit? That's in the game files. Your AS50-TWS? That's not.

AS50s can fire M107 magazines... which is what I use in most cases. I carry one AS50 magazine with me on the rare chance I need to blow up a vehicle quickly, and the rumor is they do more damage per hit, which I still don't know if it's actually true(supported by evidence) but I do it anyway. M107 round for a person, AS50 mag for an armored target.

The most important factor in damage is not velocity but energy. The more ft/lbs delivered to the target, the more trauma it will cause. Also, bullet ballistics and dynamics also play a huge part. For example, the 5.45 AK74 round is smaller than a 5.56 .223 caliber nato, yet it is much more devastating. Why? Because the 5.56 was designed to be very fast and very flat shooting. A quick pencil eraser hole in, and out. The 5.45? It's nicknamed the poison dart because when it hits you, the bullet tumbles more than once inside the body cavity, creating a great amount of trauma and in most cases creating a noticeably bigger exit wound or sometimes not even escaping the cavity at all because of the multiple tumbles. Known fact: Most soldiers who are hit with 5.45mm rounds do not survive. Keyword: Most. Thus it was nicknamed the poison dart. Bigger does not always mean better in 100% of cases. Energy delivered to the target is the most important factor, as said.

You know what just made my day? Going to a private hive server just for kicks since I've never really played on them. Spend about an hour looting up with decent equipment like an AKM. Head to electro, and as I'm nearing the barn just north of the city, I see a guy running through the woods with a Coyote Backpack and immediately thought.. "I'll just take that off your hands". I light the guy up from behind, and drop him as he runs behind a tree trying to bandage. Turns out, he's the server admin and he just killed a guy in electro since I heard his M4A3 CCO popping off and a death soon follow. Turns out the guy has every item. Rangefinders. A ghillie in his backpack, coyote, nvgs, Plus the M4A3. Combined with the CZ-550 I just randomly picked up in prig. To top it all off? Him raging up a storm in side chat since it's enabled on most private servers. All I said to him was "Props for not aborting." since he had plenty of time to do it. Funny thing was, I was getting beat on by a zombie the whole time I was engaging him, so I missed quite a few shots. I killed him with the last round in the only AKM mag I had as well. :P

Not an excuse. The weapon should of been dumped onto a zombie's corpse and hidden, or dumped into a backpack that didn't have space so that it was destroyed. I love people who try and justify it by saying "We didn't spawn it in." Ok, cool, but guess what? You're still using the weapon for the same purpose the hacker was going to use it for. He's just the one who applied the script. You're the one applying the weapon to other players, which makes you almost as bad as the scripter himself. I don't give a flying fuck how long you worked for something. We all have spent countless hours in this game. I've seen G36C-SDs, AS50 TWS, M107 TWS, and guess what? I bury the bodies everytime I see it. You think just because you didn't execute a script that you using a hacked weapon with obvious advantages over every other gun in the game is completely ok? No, you're a bitch just like the hackers who spawned it. ;) Inb4 "you mad". I'm not mad, I just call it like I see it. And the only difference here is who executed the script. The weapon is obviously not in the game, yet you still used it knowing that. Just because battleye doesn't ban players for this, since there are legitimate cases of new players simply not knowing what weapons are in the game to use, doesn't mean someone with experience and knowledge of the game should use it knowing it isn't legit. Plain and simple. You can argue it all day, any way you'd like... doesn't mean I'll buy it. Not even for a penny.

You know, at first, I would of said "Screw you. Inventory wipes? No way. I loves mah stuffz!!! U CANT HAS!!" Now? I say do it. I've got every item in the game basically. Every item I could ever hope to find and loot pretty much. And you know what? It sucks. There is nothing to do besides snipe in the south. Christ sake I can't even goto NWAF and camp out because of the graphical issues. This duping has to be fixed, and I'll admit now I'm guilty of it. Difference is, I wasn't actually trying to accomplish it. It just happened. THAT'S how bad it's gotten. To the point where shit just dupes without even attempting it, and at that point can you really tell the person not to take advantage of that? No you can't. They weren't trying to glitch, but the game threw them a bone.

You should of walked out of electro or cherno, whereever you happened to be. Blaring this over direct comms. Walked. For dramatic effect. It would of been an epic sight.

He has some good points though. The hacking is getting ridiculous, even with the new battleye update, they will always remain one step ahead because they're always willing to put their GUIDS on the line. The second issue, is duping. The latest patch has made it absolutely unbearable. It seems everyone and their brother have AS50s, L85s, NVGs and Rangefinders. Myself included. The only difference is I've killed people for my gear, many of them as well. It's so bad now that it happens when you're not even intentionally trying to do it. Just put on a ghillie suit or camo? There's a chance you're going to dupe a backpack. You can dupe raw meat from animals if two people gut it at the same time for christ sake. Also, just like he said...tent duping is the easiest way to multiply weapons by as much as you want as long as you own the tent and have the time, combined with hoping it's hidden enough between server restarts(when the item actually copies). There is no "rare" weapons in the game anymore. When I encountered someone with a .50 cal, I used to think "Holy shit. That's a .50". Not anymore. I know it's partially because I've been playing for a long time now and nothing is "new" for me anymore as far as game content, but the experiences within it are still new so that's what keeps me here. No firefight is the same, and that's the best part. However, it's just simply that it seems everyone has everything anymore. You just killed someone? Chances are he's going to take 20 minutes, run to his tents, and gear up with all the items he had since he copied them all, and be back with all of his shit to go and kill you. I've seen it multiple times.

Exactly. Or, they could have a camp on that island made possible by finding a PBX or Fishing Boat. They were on the island, saw you coming out there, and put one in you to prevent you from gaining knowledge of their camp site. Not a stupid tactic. Unarmed or not. Had I been on that island, and it was my camp...I would of done the same thing. I have no idea what kind of person you are. I don't know if you're going to see the camp and then come back on these forums and make a post telling the entire community the coordinates and the gear found within the camp(Bitch move, I don't care what anyone says.). I don't know if you won't wait until a later hour, then come back and loot the camps and then flatten them with grenades and save them flattened or not. If I can prevent someone from gaining knowledge of my camp site, I do it. Fortunately I don't have to often because the area my camp is in is a place that is completely unexpected. Not on the edge of the map by a long shot either.

You realize you can obtain the heart-beat by killing in self-defense, or being fired upon first right? It's not hard to get a heart-beat. Still, you did the right thing regardless since so many people "pretend" to be friendly, just to get a guaranteed kill on you with your back-turned.. but ya know.. jus sayin'.

Because it pisses people off. That's why they do it. It's the entire reason behind hacking, because they know it makes their game easier, and yours harder...and at the same time, making legit players rage. Been that way since the dawn of time, not changing any time soon.

No you do not. It's a server side script that can be turned on/off to my knowledge.. On our server, if you swim out there, you do not lose your items. I've tested this multiple times as I was looking for the helicopter spawn. My vilayer server came to us with the script turned on apparently. You do not lose your inventory, or your backpack. It's just a pain in the ass swimming out there. If you do it from Krutoy Cap, it really doesn't look that far...but it's deceiving because you go like .5km/hr.

Well, just know that if I see you on my server, and it comes up in your inventory when I'm running the scan, you're getting banned. Blacklist be damned. That attitude is what would give me the justification in doing so. You are openly supporting the use of illegitimate weapons, and defending it simply because of the way you obtained it. Illegitimate is illegitimate, and the only reason Rocket and Co. isn't banning people for doing this is because there are people out there who really don't know what guns are legit in this game, as they're new players. The difference is, you do. And you know it's not legit. You're using it to have an edge....fine. Just don't do it on my server. /Off my high seat.

I'm not that familiar with the grid system in the script logs, but is it possible to travel this distance in this time without teleporting at all? [11349,8061.47,0.00137329]; to [2434.93,2133.31,0.00263977] In a little under 2 minutes. What is the distance there? Is it 8km roughly or am I entirely wrong on that? Either way, I'd like to know if I have a teleporter on my hands.

Also found some interesting add item scripts from this player as well. Nearly right after he died he had equipped a coyote backpack and all the tools as well. I know that's not enough, but it's just my curiosity peaking I guess. I literally am just starting to get to know how to check the system now that I have my own server. I came to arma for DayZ, and decided to get a server to help the community. It's through vilayer and I use bercon, etc. Going to look into this more. This is also a player that another player reported in the cheat section and made a topic for about my server. He then contacted me and asked me to look into the situation. His complaint: The player who traveled this distance was teleporting them to kill them repeatedly, and he would add items into their backpack(He had matching things in his inventory as well, I checked at least I think I did) and then obviously kill him. And this showed in the logs perfectly pretty much confirming this has happened to this person at least once, and the person in question may very well be guilty. We'll see when I dig deeper. I don't want to ban anyone unfairly but I just hate knowing someone's experience is getting ruined on my server and I need to get up to snuff with this stuff if I'm going to keep my server as clean as I possibly can without banning for illegitimate reasons. Basically though, should I consider that distance like 8km or so? Am I reading that right? Or am I way off? I kinda want to know how to read that since I'm sure I'm going to need to prevent against obvious teleport abuse.
