If there was anyone in my server today during the hacker attack this afternoon, I have to apologize sincerely. The server is currently being transferred to NY at this time. I've for some reason lost control of my server to do any kind of restarts or time changes, or get to the script logs in my admin panel through Vilayer's FTP. The reason for this is I currently have access to a new IP for the New York server but it's awaiting an instance id (Either the old one, or the new one.) I've been trying to get in contact with Vilayer for the past 5 hours or so now but I haven't gotten any response. I was told hours ago that the transfer was under way. I messaged them saying it was an emergency and I had no access to shut down the server briefly to try and curb the hackers until they got bored and moved onto another server. I was devastated to see the server go from 40/40 players down to 10/40 in a matter of 10 minutes. I sincerely apologize. Hopefully by the end of the night, or sometime tomorrow I will regain control, the new server will go up, the old one will be taken down and it will be from that point on based out of NY instead of Florida. Hopefully this will result in better ping for any UK players, as well as myself, and overall it shouldn't change much for anybody in a central or pacific timezone. I think this box is newer as well, so I imagine performance will be even better. Until then, feel free to continue playing on US 1313. I will be there but I do not have control over that server at the moment. I can kick/ban players still since I know the IP and admin login, however I cannot do any restarts. Not until I have my new server. I think I will get to keep the 1313 designation but I'm still unsure. To anyone planning on playing on my server. Please hold off on placing any tents to store gear as I'm unsure if I will be assigned a new instance at this time. If I'm assigned a new instance, it will be a clean slate. No tents. Vehicles will be reset to their spawn locations(Although, if it's a higher number, please be aware it often takes a couple days at most for vehicles to appear on the server. This is something the DayZ team takes care of, not me.) So please, hold off on placing any valuables in tents, JUST IN CASE. I'm not positive whether I will be keeping my current ID or getting a new one. Thanks guys. -
Exactly. He tells everyone to run via six launcher, but six launcher hasn't pushed the right patch. The problem people are having is that they are manually updating and then running six launcher which is rolling their files back to the previous version. Glad I could help some of you guys. CrunchyBacon, glad you like the server. Feel free to stay a while. Although, my server is being transferred to NY right now. It was originally in Jacksonville, FL.. but I wanted it in NY because I think we'll get more of a local player-base that way. A lot of people tend to like NY servers. I also happen to live in NY as well, and I have people in my squad overseas in London & Sweden, so this will help them as well.

Really Kaishi? We've been searching for a chopper for weeks now and haven't found a single legitimate spawn. This sounds legitimate since it had items in it. Do you mind telling me where it was found? I'm not asking where it is NOW obviously, lol. Just where it was found. I've even wrote to the Vipeax before asking him if there was any chance he could check the database to confirm if we were seeded a helicopter or not. This is truly good news. I've banned a couple of people now for spawning them in because I caught them in the logs, and we have had a problem with illegitimate choppers flying around, as is the case with a lot of servers. Unfortunately it's hard to catch 100% of the time. However there is only 1 helicopter seeded per server, so if I know of two flying around, I can be pretty sure of who spawned the second one in. -

Emergency post: If you are watching this thread, or if you play on the US 1313 server on a regular basis... The server is being transferred at this moment to NY, from Jacksonville, FL. This is being done to help some players across the way in the UK. I have squad mates over there as well so this was to help him. I originally wanted the server in NY and was told I would be transferred at the first chance. So, I'm not sure if tents will be wiped or not. I imagine I will retain the same instance Id, but I'm unsure if the server will be able to keep the 1313 designation. IF IT CHANGES I WILL UPDATE THE POST HERE. We'll have to see. I'm waiting now on the transfer to complete as I have access to the new server ip. The old server will go down once it's finished, which sucks since at the moment, the server is damn near full. -

Hahaha! Oh my god that was you. All of a sudden I hear a Mark 48(or 240) roaring and I go down with what seemed like a headshot, and then duke who I was with gets hit twice and goes down. We don't abort. No matter the gear, as I'm sure you noticed with the items you took off me. Truthfully though, that death was our fault. I was goofing around just pretty much prancing through the field, was actually sniping cows with an AS50 totally giving away my position because I was working on being accurate without the use of a rangefinder (Using mil-dots to accurately acquire your targets distance. Just takes simple math to do in your head). So that's why there was a few dead animals around. I mean, I think at that time there was only 3 or 4 people on the server so I let my guard down completely. As soon as I went down I said to myself "Well, he's going to be happy. That was entirely my fault so I can't even be mad." Do you still have the L85/AS50? I'll have to "reacquire" those items sooner or later, you know. ;) Definitely was a good shot on your end. I only heard one shot and I was down immediately so you must of nailed me in the chest since my limbs weren't broken but I was unconscious. Then you put 2 more into me on the ground(I had about 2 or 3 seconds to alt f4 but as I said, I heavily frown upon it, and if I have that warning in the MOTD, I sure as hell aint going to do it..lol). There was very little communication between me and duke at that point. I had an idea that I was shot from the east up on that hill in that small woodline, but duke couldn't get eyes on you before he went down. I guess you could say "You had the high ground". PS: 32 players on right now. Makes me happy. Although, I'm sure the hackers will start showing up. Which means I'm going to be too busy watching my console/logs to even play, :( Sometimes it truly does suck to be an admin. Especially since I can't just go about banning anyone I suspect is cheating. Unarmed: Hope to see you there. -

Yup, that's my spot for elektro counter-sniping. I nail at least two AS50s up there daily. In fact, I think 4 people in my squad now have an AS50/M4 SD combo due to it.

Well it may be fixed a little bit in this patch because currently tents arent saving items, so duping any further items won't be possible. If you put an item into a tent and hit save, it will not be there on restart regardless if you take it out after the save. There will be no copy of that item. I tested tents yesterday on my server. Put up a brand new one. Saved it. Restarted my server since no one was on. Put some random shit in the tent like a hunting knife and a box of matches. Saved. Restarted again. Came back and the items were gone. In the last patch, you could put an item in a tent, save the tent and take the item back out but on the restart that item would have a duplicate inside the tent. So who knows.

You tried updating the beclient.dll right? I truly don't know why people are experiencing this problem. Like I said, me and my squad all updated this way after originally suffering from loading problems, and we all got into my server that's running 95883 and 1.7.2.5 within 30 seconds of launching. Sorry it didn't work for you. To be honest I truly think this is a six launcher related issue. Try cutting it out of the picture completely if you haven't, and just manually update and launch through steam if you haven't. Edit: Still getting in quickly every time. It's a lower population server so that may be a reason for it. Try my server if you haven't. Otherwise I'm really stumped.

Ridiculous attitude to have as an admin. Gut feeling? Really? You don't ban on gut feeling. You ban on evidence in your logs. Plain and simple. If you are requested to provide evidence to the person you banned, you are to give it. If you do not, one can only assume it's because you do not have it. If you do not have it, you unban the player and submit a report to the dayz staff and let them take care of it. I've been in your shoes and have banned before. I've even banned players I've suspected were hacking on just the fact they had thermal as50s at the time they were hacking. Guess how many times there was a report on my server in this forum? Zero. Why? Because they know I have something on them each and every time. Just like you would. if you banned for evidence and not gut feeling. Now you're grasping at straws trying to make yourself not look like an idiot, and your server just got approved to be looked at and determined whether you will have to unban them, or get blacklisted. Do yourself a favor and unban them. If they end up being hackers? Oh well. If you catch them in the logs? Ban them again, start a thread and post the evidence in the cheater report section. End of discussion. When the stand-alone is released, we as server admins will be able to do whatever the fuck we want. Until then? Play by the rules set forth. Our $50-75 a month is irrelevant without the instance id required to play on the server ourselves.

I recommend bit-comet or u-torrent. There are other links scattered around the forums as well, if you look for them. Basically I'm saying, update as you normally would through six-launcher first. Then install these files you download, as to overwrite the wrong files six-launcher has installed, with the CORRECT ones that the servers are running. This is, to my knowledge, why people are getting hung up in the loading screens. Six launcher is not hosting the new files because 1.7.2.5 hasn't been seeded to it yet since the development team are still unsure of it's "worthyness" so to speak. Overwrite the files with six launcher runnning and all set to "launch" into a game. When you join a server it should connect you and you should have no trouble joining it. Also, to the person asking if he can stay with 1.7.2.4. I'm unsure myself as I haven't rolled back. This is more for people who are trying to play the latest version of DayZ. More and more servers are updating now as well. I believe the reason Rocket has not given six launcher the go ahead to host the latest files is because the graphical issue is still present in the latest build, unfortunately. Although people are saying the flush command is working now.

Considering tents aren't saving properly, those items will probably be there in functioning tents on the next restart. They probably know that too.

Also, thanks for the comment about checking logs. I do my best to keep things clean if I can. Sometimes it's impossible though. There's really nothing i can do if some scumbag comes in and clicks his little "Fuck up everything" button which nukes the server. Only thing I can do is do an emergency shutdown and hope for a rollback, but that's a rare case. Also, blurp what encounter was that? -

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the server individually. Has everything to do with this new beta and the new dayz patch. Also, the hive was updated from 0.7,2 to 0.7.3 as well which changed some things. A lot of other servers are experiencing problems. I'm almost tempted to roll back. -

No, nametags are not supposed to be on, actually. I'll have to look at that actually. Tags should be off now. Don't know how that happened. I edited the .cfg to specifically keep them turned off. -
It really is fruitless. These idiots need to be hardware banned to the fullest extent. I was watching a video on youtube of the VIP hack that s0beit released, along with a guy named waut's scripts. Theres a screenshot in the video of the vip forum where they download the hack from, and guess what one of the links are? "Arma II OA CD Keys: $5 bucks". So, get get globally banned and then spend $5 to continue hacking within an hour. There's literally nothing that can be done unless server admins are given the go ahead to police their own servers. That's besides having the stand-alone released, anyway. I mean, who doesn't have 5 dollars?

Download the new DLL file from battleye client. Put it both your appdata folder and arma 2 oa folder under expansions/be. Try that out and see if it works. It should be called BEClient.DLL. Copy and replace it in both those folders and report back. -
Spawn and joining problems after 1.7.2.5!

The spawning on the beach may be related to the hive being updated for this patch. Could of been a hiccup in the process. I spawned there as well, but after moving positions and relogging, my position is saving. The issue now, is that items are not saving in tents. Sure, it's going to stop duping to some degree, but if you had items in a tent prior, you'll never be able to get rid of them as they'll just keep coming back, even if someone comes by and dumps all the items out and then re-saves the tent. It's simply not saving the "status" of the tent. Seems like they really can't get this one feature right. -
Graphical issues still present. Same type and appearing from the same objects. Although, they appear to be worse now. I've tried flushing, as well as changing graphical settings. The only thing that worked for me in 1.7.2.4 was actually going in and rolling back certain animation .pbo files to an older patch, I think it was the 1.7.2.3 files. Doing that, it worked. I don't want to try it with the new update as to not screw anything up, but yes... the graphical bugs are still present and worse.
