Think you mean the little blue arrow thingy's -> 'Difficulty settings' some servers show you/ others on the map (recruit) most servers don't have it enabled (most regular/veteran/expert). Or the black(mainly, and other colors) crosses -> Team map labels (misson based (so server local), visible for everyone (since were all in the same team), resets every server reset) - place by double clicking on the map, can be removed by hovering over it with your mouse and pressing delete

Well it should go back to normal then after a bit (takes a few sec AFAIK) if not try the other one!

Its a side effect of being very low on blood (~<4k ish?) - eat or get transfused.

What happens if I log off past the edge of the map?

They don't - think it was 24hrs and might be bugged to be even a few days.As far as players goes around the edge up to 1km could still work but if you manage to get to far you will get put back on the coast (with your stuff, since its like a bugged wilderness spawn) as of the current patch 1.7.2.4 Off map tents are invisible (unless you right click zoom up, but you cant use them either way). Vehicles don't get wiped, they might however respawn at some point. Saves you the trouble of running back to the coast! Walking offmap north with your new guns is shorter then walking down to cherno after hitting the airfield :thumbsup: - and you might even see some camps when running that way.--- If you have grass (foliage, not just the texture) below you your still on map. The road up lopatino stops at the end so if your still at it your on the map. -

If they are completely gone and not flattened restart server, (might be able to check someone else's camp to confirm) if you cant, wait for it/ contact admin and tell him vehicles/ tents aren't.loaded in its a common thing that it sometimes fails to load hive data and doesn't load in vehicles/tents/wire etc... And the bus missing can also be a player since its so damn big its visible from like the other side of the map. --- fps drops who knows.. arma you know. -
Using Skype/Ventrillo/Teamspeak while Playing

1. never had problems w/ push to talk keys with teamspeak and mumble so cant tell what that could be.. 2. I think what you mean is the windows setting for audio there is some random setting I cant remember in there that allows apps to turn down volume (skype does it aswell) you should be able to disable it in one of the audio settings tabs in windows, and probably even locally in the voicecom. -

Let me first state that with this idea its not a requirement to spawn in a group, but a possibility if you choose to do so The general idea of this is to have a spawn 'lobby/queue'. After respawning you can choose to either actually respawn, or enter a respawn 'lobby'. When you choose to enter the queue you can wait as long as you like for other players to enter the lobby (seeing the current average life expectancy in it shouldn't take more then a few minutes in a 40+ man server to get at least someone to respawn). Might be able to use the other two team lobbies for this (one for survivor players and one for bandit players, or maybe even just the one) - only up till the moment they join the game after that everyone gets put in the main team. So basically just use the others as spawn lobby's, and the current one if you continue/ want to spawn alone. Once one of the people in the lobby presses a spawn button the rest in the lobby got 30 seconds to press it as well before it actually spawns all of the readied up players at the same spot. As a sidenote, since you are able to chat in group channel in lobby they should be able to talk to each other before actually getting ingame to actually know who your gonna be playing with before you start. Also as I just described how I would sort of do it, there is however the possibility that you end up with someone you don't want. This can be looked at as either a pro or a con considering the type of game DayZ is. All in all this would make it a lot easier for loners/ newer players to actually experience group play, and eventually even end up with new friends. As well for the newer players to learn how to play the game (or how not to) by example. -however- this should only work on new/ re-spawns - you don't want some random asshat with a gun in the middle of a group spawn because that will just end up in a massacre

Server Restart Possessions Fix

Not on all servers at least, but ye our stuff disappeared at first - during the heavy hours. But came back a bit after the green light an a server restart, a restart of the server would prolly sort it out. -
As far as I've noticed all objects get placed back on server reset (basically removing it doesn't unset it in the server save thingy, and then after the server resets it all gets loaded back in) This includes wire, tanktraps, sandbags and even tents (Which thus can still be duped...) --- For barbed wire its easiest to just aim at the poles in the middle, just keep the scroll menu open and look around it will popup in the menu when you found a spot that works.
