Nothing like breaking your leg then choosing between having to crawl 2km to elecktro simply to find morphine or get shot and respawn.

    Looking for a US group

added you on steam: Applecrow. I'm a bit of a late owl as well, but CST.
  3. What servers do you play on? I'm looking for a group and trying to get some more people to play. Still kind of newbish, but currently on my longest lived character.

    Introduce yourselves

Hello, Amp here (Ampoliros). I generally play the Dallas Servers early or very late. After many many deaths to zeds and pk'ers (maybe bandits, but I consider there a to be a difference between players who go solo and will kill you, and people who think this is a deathmatch), but only been player killed in Elecktro before I learned to GTFO and go north. Currently on my longest lived character (6-8 hours...) and now that I have some decent-ish gear I'm looking for some players to team up with. Applecrow on Steam, Ampoliros in game.
  5. I think the single most thing that can reduce the pk/deathmatch mentality while not removing pvp is to have more zombies, and/or make them harder to kill. Bandits will be free to do their thing with the added difficulty of going it alone, and the pk/deathmatch wee-tards won't have it so easy, will get bored, and leave. Harder zombies also give more incentive to team up. I'll kill a bandit/survivor because I need to, but I kill pk/deathmatchers on principal.

A 'scent'/smell mechanic. (with update foresight)

I had a similar idea so I have to second this one. As for how it effects the hud, you could use the fly/mosquito sounds as an indicator, increasing in proximity. I briefly considered perhaps a visible cloud around the person, but that seems a bit corny in a sim. For the most part it should really only effect how one deals with zombies. Also a side benefit would be when you need time to wash, you need someone watching your back, and everything that encourages team play and coop is needed in this game. Although it would be so worth it to blow a pk'er's head off while they were bathing.
