Got hit by the respawn bug where you 'die' then it respawns you at the beach. Wasn't looking forward to an hour march back north. Within 5 minutes I found a GAZ sitting (badly) hidden in a tree line north of Cherno. No shots rang out as I drove 15kph through the field to a road. Made it to camp in half the time (ran out of fuel too far from a gas station and had to run there with an empty Jerry) I have to agree for the most part that vehicles are only worth it in a large group that can defend it. Otherwise the noise and banditry makes them not worth it. I learned quickly never to park near my tents as choppers or hackers can find your vehicles practically instantly. Bicycle is the way to go. Silent, fast, easy to repair, no fuel. I love the Ural though. That has Boss written all over it. I love the chopper too but never kept one for more than a couple hours.

It's raining at Green Mountain.

Y U NO SHOT ZOMBIE? -
Put Medical beds in hospitals, you can load a blood bag into it and use the bed. Have it take a full minute to refill blood or slowly regen it over time. I'm also of the mind to change the healing to slow regen with faster regen when fed and hydrated and uninjured. (By slow I mean 1-2 points a second, of course we won't see those until standalone or even later.) For now I carry medpacks in the form of cooked meat. Cows are 10x better than hospitals right now.

Can I get a special skin for my character that says "I survived Day Z Alpha"?

Am I the only one who finds it IRONIC that your name is CumCow and you are looking for mature players?

The problem with this is that duping is so easy, you can do it by accident. I 'duped' several top guns just by moving my tent to another server. I left the duped ones on my home server, but I know its pretty rare for people to do that.

I'm confused, because you are the one whining here, not the OP.

Now 1 Million!!!!! + Unique Players!!!

I can donate some bullets and a vid on how to quickly loot a well geared player. What? Why are you looking at me like that? -
I really don't get the hate for posting camp locations. Grow a pair and stop whining about losing gear or learn to hide it better. Do you kill people to loot them? Do you do your best to deny rival players good equipment? Are you claiming that anytime you kill someone you don't leave them and tell no one where the corpse is because it would be unfair for the person who might be running back to reclaim their gear? No reason why the OP shouldn't take what he wants then tell everyone else the location. Meta-gaming it through the net is the same as if we had radios and he broadcast the coords. You'd still need to know how to read a map to find the location AND you would be very much aware that others were also on their way. Your super secret uber camp location isn't. My first camp went a week without being raided and I was actually surprised it took that long. I lost a bunch of nice guns sure, but they were in my tent because I didn't have a single clip for any of them. I moved my vehicles away from the camp, and since then, my tents are secure, even if my vehicle hunt is an ongoing process.

It has a supermarket, barn, and several industrial/car spawns, directly on the route to NW if you spawn on the west side of the map, has treelines within easy sniping range and rests in a fairly flat and open area, and is less popular than Stary. As people begin to avoid Stary until they are better geared, more move to Zelen. With them come the snipers and griefers.

There is a reason sims don't go to consoles. Console games aren't built for the mindset of gamers that play PC games: long term over short term. The more I think about it the less I consider that there is an actual market for Day Z on console as it is now. On PC Day Z is gaining players every day. Put it on console and you'd see a huge spike in population for about 2 weeks and then it would drop off to maybe a 10th of what it was after the next cash-sink disk came out. Also good luck selling a hardcore unforgiving game with no clear cut victory screen (Other than not seeing YOU ARE DEAD) to the core console crowd. Its as if millions of tweens cried out WAAAAAAAAAH and were instantly handed a new game. I feel something terrible has happened. -Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Two things need to be done first: Fix Battleeye or find another way to nix the hackers. The struggle for gear is meaningless when a random nob can hack in full gear and an Apache or just nuke the server. I don't like duping, but just from moving my tent from one server to another I duped several nice weapons I had no need of. If I had wanted to I could have armed the server ( I didn't want to.) No I won't post coords, and anyway, someone already beat you to them. Then implement more ways for Survivors to reclaim civilization. I think this is the most important feature currently missing from the game as it will reverse the domination of "banditry" over "survivalists". ( I also recognize that it is probably one of the hardest things to add as well.) The hardest part of this would be the fact that players are NOT in the game 24/7 and others would still have the upper hand by being able to server hop. i.e. whats the point of setting up a shop in a reclaimed village to trade when 10 mins after you log out server hoppers arrive and clean out your tents. When server populations get bigger this will be less of a problem, but won't disappear completely. You'd also have to contend with the asshattery of players who just enjoy wrecking what others have built: the sandcastle stompers in the sandbox who even if AS50 NATO rounds were rarer than a cured zombie would use them to kill fresh spawns on the beach. The kind of people who aren't here to survive, just kill. As for currency, barter system is the way to go, since everyone's needs will be fluid. Fresh Spawns will value a compass and map more than a few rounds of CZ 550 ammo (Or vice versa if they are a bandit). Someone else might have just raided an ammo crate* but only has a macaroni. Gear that might have been useless for you will now have value, since you have a safe® place to trade it. I mean if another player ran up to me and offered me $500 for my ALICE pack, I'd give him a few rounds, loot his corpse and probably leave the $500. If he offered me a M9-SD and several clips, I'd consider it. (*I'll again mention I want these removed as they make maintaining a military level of weaponry actually easier than the lower-grade weapons)
-
I'd like to see this: Guns can jam/break and need maintenance. Non-military weapons or low-grade ak's have a much much higher spawn chance. Deer Stands no longer drop higher military grade weapons but do drop more survival gear and binocs or the rare rangefinder. Broader range of military weapons dropping countered by the removal of ammo crates. Ammo conversion should require empty clips where needed. Eastern European military weapons spawn at military bases, Western military weapons spawn at Chopper crashes.

Last night on our brand new clan server we came across 3 separate hacker groups. Out of the 15 people on the server, at least 6 were hackers, hacking in 2 choppers (Stole 1 and saw the second crash) and indestructible buses. So yeah. Waaaaaah Hackers. Oh, and BLAM BLAM thanks for the chopper, hacker. Then this morning: Waaaah Hackers scripting out the vehicle locations and stealing it back. Funny how none of my tents without a vehicle nearby get raided, but if I have a vehicle there I might as well fill it up with rocks and shoot out the tires.

Last night our group was elated to find one lone guy landing a chopper. We engaged and killed him, but not before he shot the engine out with his AS50. (His only gear was an AS50, ghillie, and Patrol Pack, leading us to believe the chopper was hacked in and he had been hacking) While 2 of us were watching the chopper, a bus drove by and the sniper I was overwatching for shot it causing it to stop and the driver to jump out who then died to the sniper. A few mins later, we saw another player low crawling to the bus and get it moving, and the sniper shot it 7-10 times with no effect, not even on the glass. After hours of searching for the part, we fixed the chopper and got it airborne. One rough landing later the engine was slightly damaged. I (Pilot) got out while my mates were checking a spawned chopper crash, when I got back in, the chopper was totally fixed, proving it was hacked. Within 10 minutes of flying, my gunner spotted another chopper in the air, when he shot at it, a player jumped/fell from the chopper and died, and the chopper crashed. Very Bizarre behavior. Logging in this morning, the chopper was gone but none of our other items were taken. I'm wondering if players have been using scripts to find hidden vehicles, since the chopper spot was outside the normal lanes of traffic as well as hidden from the eye and parked in a spot that was very hard to land in. While I totally expected it to get stolen/destroyed quickly, within 6-8 hours seems suspicious.
