now i can confirm that rolling back to 1.60 undo weapon nerf agains all targets. if you get hit by a guy with lee enfield, that runs 1.60 you wll die instantly. if you get hit by a gue with lee enfield that runs 1.60 you might survive the hit. no matter what patch you are running.

not sure about damage of 5.56 and 5.45 cartridges, but AKM was nerfed to the ground, compared to FN FAL/DMR. the difference between cartridges isnt that big to make AKM`s damage half of FN FAL/DMR it should be ~20% lower. anyway if you dont like the current weapon damage, you can roll back to 1.60 to "reverse" nerf -
good video for 2 reasons: 1 no sniper rifles was used 2 you pwned hacker with as-50 tws

devs just cant host all servers across the world, that community needs. make them less manageable to admins - might be, but not till standalone.

1,2 - u mad bro? this stuff is easy in theory, but hard in implementation. and mos likely will be a pain in the ass for some legit players. if you dont want to see serverhopers, i suggest you to find server with private hive. the current system just begs people to server hop... 3- dafaq? u do know that 99.99% of servers are hosted by community? 5(dunno where is 4 gone) - agree with this, but its should be like 1200+ so it would exceed range of 50.cals rifles

well i believe in terms of implementation, the closest workaround would be to add flashlight attachment to all guns ingame(use the code that allows g17 and remington to emit light) and to be able to use attachment the tool belt item is required.

i dont know what are complains about in this thread. the shotguns in this game far more realistic then i cock of duty and bf, because they have range not a fucking melee wapons! the damage might suck, but arma is all about mid to long range combat, so its not surprise there is issues with shotguns, and they cuased by shotgun`s mechanic. if you dont like nerfed damage you can always roll back to 1.60

well adding stuff that makes survival harder like additional ingame threat(carnivores, zombies hordes at snipers spots, food poisoning things like that), will reduce banditry. because wasting supplies to kill player, will increase chance that environment will fuck you. -

they did not nerfed but fucked it up. you can check this link to get what i mean. this nerf was made because the SUDDENLY realized(so fucking slow) that soldiers use armor on the battlefield. but there is no armor in DayZ so it kinda screwed here.

as some people said, hit indicator is realistic, because you will feel pain when bullet hits your body, and its easy to determine side from where bullet came from. if you dont believe you can ask a kid with a bb gun, to shoot you while your eyes closed. adding realism into a game doesnt always means to make it harder, in some cases it make its easier.

if server doesnt matter, private hive server at your service. having 2 character has great drawback: you got killed, you log in on your second character and fuck your killer.i doubt people want that to happen

this thread is bad, and op should feel bad. because op just doesnt know application of word insanity. people use this word when they want to describe unusual behavior of minor part of community. since majority of dayz community kill people i can say that people who dont kill are insane. -

cross play? are you kidding me? the console gamers will be just RAPED by PC ones, because gamepad is inferior to the keyboard and mouse. also in 99% cases there is no cross platform game development, there is porting from consoles, which fucks up mouse controls badly.
