i`m not color blind but it`s quite annoying to track if i`m above 9k or not with current ui, and thus i`m alway looking for debug monitor. and i`m all up for a blood bar. -
player interaction is the only option left when you know how to survive, and this makes it best.

i wouldnt cry that loud about superiority of cryengine, when comparing mmorpg to a shooter, that has dedicated servers. because net code can be totally different, and in case of mmo there is possibility to split games realm to handle by few servers. in case of arma`s engine there is only one server per realm

if you played GTA:SA, you can remember that mechanics that required to tap run button(most people use shift or alt this point) to run faster then just by holding it. and i have to say it was awful because of fatigue. tapping W all of the time would be even worse, especially taking into account how good dayz as running simulator is. -

arma might be complex, but at some point its not complex enough. a proper gun mechanics is what game of such type needs. -
overdose of drug can actually kill, so "non lethal" can only be applied only in case if weapon isnt overused.

well i believe that solo play should be harder. when it comes to a group play finding supplies can be more difficult, but it will be easier when it goes to killing zed, and vice versa for solo. -

as a mostly a solo player a can only say- deal with it. its a zombie apocalypse, and its not surprising that group has more chances to survive then a solo survivors. -
i believe most of people have been thinking that the current bleeding mechanics is rather bullshit, and one scratch can lead to loss of all blood. so i think adding intensity and duration, thats determined by damage that has caused bleeding. zombie`s attack should cause bleeding with minimal intensity and shortest duration(so its impossible to die from it). damage from bullets shout cause bleeding of medium to maximum intensity and duration, that variates by bullet type(bigger caliber doesnt always mean more intense bleeding). the intensity and duration should stack when bleeding is caused, to simplify simulation of different bleeding wounds. i dont came up with number yet, but bleed that was caused by bullets can last for very long, and eventually can kill character, while bleeds that was caused by zombies, will have minimal impact on youк blood and will end quickly. the intensity and duration shouldnt be shown in ui(intensity can be shown on characters model, and would be nice if would), and has to be thing that player has to calculate by himself considering what type of damage was caused to him, and decide either use a bandage or there is no need for that. why so? lets get real, bitch slaps almost cannot cause an external bleeding, and even that has happened it will never be a lethal(unless you have a hemophilia, which is rather unlikely). you actually have higher chances to cause internal bleeding by doing so, which at this case most likely will be lethal.

adding virus mechanics is a good idea, but its not necessary and can be completely ignored, by simply saying that all survivors are immune to the virus. but mechanics like zombies damage on hit and zombies quantity cant be ignored, and can be tweaked to make them threat. -

ugh... its not about reducing zombies damage output. its about bringing a bit more realism to bleeding mechanics. and of course it will nerf zombies, because bringing challenge over realism is kinda bullshit if game tends to be authentic. -

even if it stack, though i doubt it, every bleeding is lethal, and only random can save from loosing all blood from tiny scratch. i do agree with you, though i cant remember discussion of intensity and duration of bleeding before :) -
character will scream in pain even if wound doesnt bleed(if screaming is event implemented in this case), so its not an option. aoutobandaging if bleeding was found is rather bad idea, because some wounds that bleed arernt lethal(at least in real life...) and doesnt cost bandage to use.

well i personally dont like the current blood mechanics, because there is too much bleeding. if you ever had a bleeding, you might not always feel blood on your skin, but you will feel pain that comes from a wound, and you will check it and will see bleeding. so unless there is an option to check body for wound and see bleeding, a bleeding indicator that screams if you have bleeding, should be.

i really would like to see the design and size of ghillie, that allows that.

well ghillie makes you more visible in urban environment, and, sadly, its the only drawback that made in the game . and how often you see mass produced ghillies that can cover a back pack? a custom one can do that`s, but since there is no crafting, i can assume that we only have mass produced ghillies in game.

the ghillie suite in this game enjoyable only because it has only one drawback implemented, if it had ALL of its drawback implemented, i highly doubt that someone would use it, unless its an autumn in the game.
