Thanks everyone for all the support on this video, this is quickly becoming the most popular video on my channel and I know that this forum and you guys had a lot to do with that.

Of course I'm also trying to get myself some publicity. But I have a few tweaks and touch-ups I want to do, when that's done I'll post the revised and un-marked version.

Not according to my driver's licence, if you'd like proof I can take a picture of my birthday cake and you can count the candles. :angel: @dcwoods, I don't think spawning with a crossbow and 2 or 3 bolts would increase the opportunity for PvP by very much, but I could be wrong.

People obviously don't understand the difference between a petition and discussion, go ahead and disagree, by vocalizing ANY opinion in this thread you are digitally signing the petition, dumbasses. Obviously I would like to spawn with a gun, or else I wouldn't be signing this. I'd say give me a melee weapon, but melee sucks right now. Honestly I (usually) don't have much problem sneaking past zombies to get to the loot, it's just that guns can be scarce, and prone-crawling everywhere is fucking boring. Give us a crossbow, it's slow loading and low ammo, but those of us with short attention spans can still kill a few zeds when we don't feel like sneaking by.

Realistically I think smokes would cure the shakes a lot better than painkillers (for me at least). But I vote no, as a smoker trying to quit the last thing I need is a video game reminding me how badly I want a cigarette.

I mean realistically, there shouldn't be 20+ zombies in a town with 5 houses right? And then 10 more spawn after clearing the town and entering a house, how does that make sense? I get that playability needs to trump realism, but this seems to be hampering both. My apologies if this is a known issue/bug. It's the observation of a new player...

Now all my .ArmA2OAProfile files automatically open with notepad and don't save my settings in-game... How do I get them back to default? EDIT: Nevermind, everything works fine I think, however my appearance and settings were reset after doing this...

I suggest getting a pen and paper and writing down every server you try to join, when one fails mark it with an "X" and try another. This way you don't keep trying the same servers, and the information of which ones are bugged could prove useful. Also look for more populated servers, in my experience the ones around 10/50 didn't work, but most around 40/50 did. I also bought Arma2:CO just for DayZ, if the mod did not exist I would not have purchased it. However I understand that this mod is in alpha, glitches and bugs are expected, although I may still complain about them when they screw me over.

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there willing to help me out? First my sob story, skip this if you don't have the time. I'm a small youtube commentator and DayZ is more or less my first entry into PC gaming videos. My current series is meant to document my first life in the zombie apocalypse, I played for almost 3 hours last night and got some good clips so if I died now I'd still be satisfied, yet I want to live. Last night as I was gaining confidence I ventured into the residential district of an unknown city, unsurprisingly I was overwhelmed and spent all of my ammo before a few zombies broke my leg. Lacking morphine I crawled to safety armed with only a hatchet, I then logged off and now here I am. So the first issue I have is I don't know where I am, my best guess is somewhere east or northeast perhaps near the coast, however I never found a map or compass. I took a screenshot of the area and posted it on twitter but got no help. If someone can identify my location and point me toward a hospital (or somewhere else nearby to find morphine) I would be very grateful. Secondly, I'm ill equipped and wounded, if anyone were willing to mount a rescue mission and maybe let a noob tag along on their journeys, I would be delighted. I don't have much loot to barter with beyond a few sodas and some ammo for guns I don't have, but you do get to be the hero in my little series. I was planning on logging in to DayZ tonight after dinner, so time is of the essence.

Thanks everyone for the assistance but it's over now. I managed to crawl to the hospital and fix myself up, however on my way out of town I decided to investigate a few barns where a shootout with another survivor ended it. I ended up reinstalling OA and the Beta patch, and uninstalling 6Updater but I still used the @dayz/addons/ files from 6Updater. I then ran CO from steam rather than 6Launcher and got into a server on my first try last night. Although I'm unsure which of the actions taken actually fixed it (guessing reinstalling the Beta patch).

Same problem for me, but I just bought CO and installed the beta patch and DayZ mod through SixLauncher (I think). Eternal loading... Too tired tonight and plans all weekend, I'll have a chance to troubleshoot and/or reinstall monday evening unless someone comes up with a quick fix before then.
