"You Cannot Play This Mission. It Is..."

It works by removing the pistol from the inventory' date=' which opens that script to exploitation (carrying 2 pistols). Which would be the reason why we didn't implement such a script yet. We'll try to figure something out, though. [/quote'] Why *couldn't* you carry two sidearms? I mean, the survival player model has two pistol holsters, one for each leg, and it wouldn't really be very overpowered seeing as you'd have to *stop* in place for at least four seconds to switch to the other pistol slot, and you'd be able to carry both a flashlight and a sidearm without abusing backpack space. Plus you can only carry so much sidearm ammo in your belt. It's not like a bandits gonna whip out his revolver after spending all his mac-10 ammo. He'd have to dig around in his backpack during a combat situation.

I ran out of revolver bullets once in Kamyshovo, then ran all the way from there to Elektrozavodsk with a single zombie chasing me. I then ran into the town, and realized that there were now 40 zombies chasing me. I managed to lose them by climbing to the very top of some sort of office building with 3 levels, one only accessable by a ladder on the second floor. I waited until they calmed down, mostly due to some other player taking a sniper shot at them and then hiding far away. Unfortunately, in my escape attempt thereafter I was slain by a 1 ft fall breaking my leg.

Maybe. What might work is some modified version of one of the insurgency maps that ace servers usually run on. Basically, the map is divided into lots of areas of influence, which insurgents spawn in. These are oddly shaped and usually centered around places they can bunker down. The USMC's goal on these maps is to reach these areas and kill all the insurgents in that bit of territory (or arrest.. I guess. Very unlikely. I think its possible but super hard and annoying to do, just better to shoot.). When they have, the area will turn green and no more insurgents will spawn there. What might work for this mod is invisible 'zed territory influence'. Basically, kill zombies, but more will spawn unless you take them ALL out. Once you do, it goes into wave mode which spawns a wave every so often. You can then reduce and/or slow these waves by killing them, occupying the area with players, and placing tents (and future placeables) within that area. The end result would be a small territory free of zambies. To balance this out, you probably would have to make it so that rare items spawn less frequently in those held areas as the zombie horde dies off, to the point where maybe only food and water and common ammo spawn among the sea of tin cans. Meaning you'd have to venture out to zombie controlled area to get the better items. It would also keep the places where the best rare items spawn, mostly free of occupation, or at least culled by the locals. Reason being, if people occupy it then rare ammo and weapons and stuff spawn less! Thusly, kill the people that occupy it, problem fixed. Further, you could make zombies start to take over again if enough players die in that territory, or it goes unoccupied or low occupation for long enough. Lastly, they should probably try to kill tents (and future fortification if any) to reduce their influence.

just add a duct-tape roll you can scavenge. Make it so having it in your misc items slot brings up an extra item option when you're looking at a flashlight dropped on the ground and have a weapon in your hand. Using the option will use up a portion of ductape and the weapon you're carrying and the flashlight and give you a flashlight-modded version of the weapon.

You need combined arms, like the above post said. However, as long as you own operation arrowhead and a valid cd key for it, you can play a low-poly low-texture low quality sound version of combined arms. See here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=222&pid=1916#pid1916 You need arma2free though. A quick google search should find you that.

Yeah. Arma 2 isn't designed to read rar or zip or tar or ace or 7z or.. well you get the idea. Extract those directly to that folder, they should end up in that folder, and not in subfolders. Also we're up to 1.4.11 for the code download. You might want to update that too. Just when you do manage to join a server, make sure not to die before the next update or you might not be able to reconnect. You technically only need operation arrowhead to play dayz. Steam Operation arrowhead comes with the lite versions of PMC and british addons, and you can download the free version of arma 2, then use -mod switches. I believe it'd be -mod="[pathtoarma2free];ca;@dayz" Downside is that textures will look like pea soup and the models will be low poly. Oh well. -

remove the -mod=@dayz part, launch it directly from steam using the play arma2 operation arrowhead option, then make sure these and only these mods are checked if you have them (or their corresponding lite versions if you don't have full combined arms): Arma 2, arma 2: operation arrowhead Arma 2: private military company, arma 2: british armed forces, and @dayz. Then restart the game. You should have all of these mods loaded through this method. After that, assuming you don't have jayarma2lib's directsound.dll installed, you should be able to connect. This is of course assuming that in your root directory is named a folder @dayz, and within that folder is a folder named addons, and within that folder resides only a bunch of .pbo and .bisign files, all extracted from the full array of dayz compressed files. No subfolders within the addons folder, just pbo and bisign files. -
No. This tends to happen when more than about six or so chemlights and/or flares are close by. Its an engine glitch really, not something that would require some creative flumuxing to rescript and something that the dayz admins can fix quickly.
-
No that's just because one of the european servers has CBA on it but not activated or used, and dayz autoboots you if you have cba loaded. Don't worry about *that*.
-
Could always pass it off as a feature. "Hey guys we're adding permadeath."
-
Actually this error usually happens when you're running jayaarma2lib. Go into your root operation arrowhead directory, delete the directsound.dll associated with the mod, and don't use six updater to connect. Just select dayz and your combined operations mod(s) manually from within the aram2 client, or use a '-mod=' commandline to list the mod folders.

at this rate, it'd theoretically be beneficial to just release like, 100 login fix patches. That way you'll only get stuck on the login screen after the 100th death.

But it doesn't sound like om nom nom or chomp chomp chomp. It's like some sort of sound that a human mouth is incapable of making without ample use of strange goop-like substances. It's like something you'd use in a bad anime hentai sex flash game to depict copulation.
