Agree or Disagree? Why we kill...
Penguinman401 replied to bbilbo1's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I would be willing to bet that you aren't. You're behavior in an online game might be indicitive of a sociopath to a certain extent, but a sociopath certaintly wouldn't be on a forum talking to other people I'm sure most peopel exhibit sociopathic behavior in an anonymous, online setting. That's what is so great about games; it's an outlet for those kind of negative behaviors. But in real life, you're probably just like every other kid who has been playing first person shooters your whole life. -
Congratz OP. You are continuing the vicious cycle that turns every player into an absolute asshat. You are helping to ruin the community.

Why the core userbase of this forum sucks.
Penguinman401 replied to Blay Wayne's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Those of us who want to make this game better (often referred to as carebears) give constructive criticism on the changes that are being made to this game. The hardcore ultra skilled sniper elitez try to shoot down our opinions because they can't take the criticism to their precious little game. They have their collective mouth around Rocket's dong and only remove said mouth long enough to post on the forums to say things like "GTFO" or "this game isn't for you" -
why cry over getting killed by players..
Penguinman401 replied to lzugl's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It's funny that people think DayZ is an accurate portrayal of how life would be if it actually happened. -
You know how you were always told that there's no such thing as a stupid question? Well...congratz Itchy. You found the only one.
-
So what we have here is a server hopping, bandit sniper who is looking for some poor sap to risk his/her life so the OP doesn't have to worry about anything. Seems legit.
-
Kudos to you OP for admitting your crime and genuinely feeling bad about it. Your heinous sin will be absolved once you log in and hit the respawn button.

I had a zombie start to chase after me once while it was inside a shed and it closed the door on itself and lost aggro. Shrugged it off and kept going.

DayZ's Community Now!!?!?
Penguinman401 replied to bloodjackal77's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Speaking for myself and the two guys I group up with every night...this is exactly the reason. After trying numerous times to be friendly only to get shot for no reason has lead us to just shoot people on sight. We don't go off looking for people and camp in Cherno or Elektro or anything, but in our experience the safest course of action is to kill you or avoid you entirely. We didn't want to end up acting like this, truly. The "hardcore," asshole community has forced us to act this way if we don't want to die. -
I'm bloody done with this deathmatch game
Penguinman401 replied to puffu's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
As its been stated a hundred fucking times, they aren't counted in the stats. Geez calm down bro. Not everybody stalks these forums 24/7 -
The Dayz Community is brutal. Hope you have tough skin.
-
Someone involved in this trade is going to die. I just figured OP was trying to bait people to some location where he could kill them.

Pretty sure the Czetch vest pouch is a 6 slot bag that is worse than the one you start with.

This Crap has to stop (D/C)
Penguinman401 replied to ShovelGut's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I know it's a pretty hot button issue right now, but this is like the 5th topic on disconnecting that is on the first page. We don't need a new thread for every single person. -
Once you choose a server, you stay in it 24/7. Log out= character stays on server!
Penguinman401 replied to slasher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
"Come stay at my Inn! I'll protect you while you're logged out!" You log in some time later and you're back on the beach. -

Purely subjective. Anyways... It's a decent idea to an extent, but it still wouldn't be as realistic as possible. If you come across someone sleeping they will probably wake up for one reason or another. They aren't just going to continue sleeping while you waltz around, tea bag the person, look through their stuff etc. The only people who would probably like something that this (they way you describing it working) are the people who do absolutely nothing else in life except play DayZ. Everybody else would be better off just clicking the respawn better before they log off to go to school/work/sleep/whatever. -
No competent player should die

Why all the bandit hatred?
Penguinman401 replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
That's true. It makes me wonder how differently people would act in this game if the difficulty was driven up a couple more notches. Specifically, you really only get ONE life. Period. You die once you're done forever. Would people be more willing to cooperate with one another and not shoot on sight for no reason? Hopefully people would act differently if there was a real, solid consequence to your death. -
Why all the bandit hatred?
Penguinman401 replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This game would be incredible if it were more like Zombieland instead of Hunger Games. Take the numerous times that the two guys get robbed by the girls. The girls don't kill them and just take their shit. They took what they needed and got the hell out of there but left the dudes alone. The point is to survive, not kill every single living thing out there and survive on the side. Only problem is that there is no reason NOT to kill every single living thing out there and survive on the side. It's supposed to be us vs the zeds. Not us vs the evil us's who love deathmatch vs the zeds. As long as the evil us's who love deathmatch continue do what they do then we will continue to hate them. -
@people moaning about being shot.

Does "any means necessary" include disconnecting if you're going to lose and/or server hopping for easy loot? If the answer is no then I do not hate you. I would gladly accept a death at your hands. If the answer is yes...well... -

I brought it up because the OP made a post saying it wouldn't be any different in real life than it is in game. Obviously us normal people (aka "Victims" ITT) know that this is by no means close to real life. These "Victors" however are so delusional that they honestly think their "e-skillz" mean a damn.
