I took what you said and what that the people you labeled as "victims" said and created the definitions of "Victor" and "Victim". So in the end they aren't baseless blanket statements at all. You see, this is my counter argument to you. It is now your turn try to rebut my statement with your own argument. Crossing your arms and just saying "You're wrong, I'm right." is a complete breakdown of the discussion process and renders your argument invalid.

And no it wouldn't really be any different in real life other than the fact that there is an excellent chance that you or the vast majority of the "Victors" don't know how to do the following things: 1) Mercilessly kill every single person you come across 2) Maintain and operate every single gun you come across 3) Easily survive in the wilderness 4) Run nonstop for an infinite amount of time So just because you have survived a couple days in this mod (whether it be legit or more likely by disconnecting after you fail to kill someone and server hopping for loot) doesn't mean you can do it in real life with any sort of ease and complete lack of emotional response.

This is what I've gathered from this thread. Victim: A normal person who enjoys this game and would like to see it become something better by giving constructive criticism. Labeled as a carebear and/or newfag by "Victors" generally without due cause. Victor: A person who believes s/he is a hardcore badass capable of killing every single human being without fail in real life because s/he has pulled a virtual trigger for the last 15 years. If your opinion is slightly different than a Victor then you are a Victim. If you give constructive criticism (read "whining") then you are a Victim.

I don't know what my experience would break down into percentage wise, but I've spent a good deal of time trying to read road signs to figure out where the fuck I am. Needless to say...you don't get much done looking at Russian road signs and a map translated in English.

I'll let you know how it works on my tablet. I have two monitors at home, but rarely use the second one, and 3 monitors at work where I use every inch of space on all 3. It just depends on what you are doing. However, I haven't found the second monitor very useful in Day Z because you still have to tab out of the game to scroll around the map. The lack of a full screen windowed mode kinda sucks. What I do is I open up a map on the second monitor and have it zoomed enough so I can see everything that I need to based on where I am/want to go.

The problem (if you want to call it that) is that people treat this game like it's Battle Royale/Hunger Games when it's supposed to be more like I Am Legend. We're not supposed to be each others enemies here; the environment is. But because this is an online game with guns peoples brains automatically switch to deathmatch mode because that's what we've all been taught for the last decade and a half.

I think it just makes it so that the vehicle won't despawn. In all honesty...I might have veered into the guys course a little bit and hit him on purpose, but it couldn't have been any more perfect. Flying down the road, dude is running from a bunch of zombies, get's run over, lolz ensue. Plus, I was just in the mood to kill someone since a guy server hopped to kill me after I wounded him in the Berezino apartments.

Gotta love finding random working vehicles. I found a white truck in the middle of some woods north of Kamenka tonight and took a joy ride through Cherno and Elektro. A player was running away from a pack of zombies and ran right in front of me. Ran his ass over and started laughing. Sorry for killing you Nick, wherever you are. Look both ways next time.

I didn't really care if people server hopped before maybe an hour ago. Me and my two friends got into a gun fight with a couple guys in the Berezino apartments. My two friends died, I killed one and wounded another. The wounded guy disconnected, went to another server to bandage up and moved onto the roof, then connected back to my server and waited for me to pass in front of the door he could see through from the roof access and one shot with some gun. I've learned not to get too overly attached to my gear in this game. Death is inevitable. But being killed like THAT just rubs me the wrong way.

My friend and I found 6 blood bags in the Berezino hospital the other night. We had the bag space so we took them all. Did we absolutely need all 6? Nah. But why leave decent supplies when you don't have to?

I don't mind the way zombies are in game currently. Except for the fact that they turn into Usain Bolt after hearing a shot.

I'm in the same boat as the OP and agree 100%. Starting out was pretty rough, but eventually you get the hang of surviving and things get really fun. Prone is your friend.

I've used the crossbow a fair amount over my first 4 or 5 days playing DayZ now. It's nice that it's silent. The only bad thing I think other than the ammo taking a slot is the accuracy. I was roughly 10-12m away from a zombie. Aimed at its head...bolt went way high. Reloaded and aimed just above its waist. Just a little bit high. Aimed at its dick...headshot.
