  1. Nope, but thanks. Already looked into it. I build, program, and maintain computers on a daily basis. I've inspected all my hardware very heavily. It's not my hardware. I hope people read this.
  2. I actually raid farms until I find a CZ-550, then use it to kill snipers, and take their AS-50/M107. Or raid Deer stands for M24/DMR.
  3. Naw, it's fine. Rocket made a target date, and I'm simply waiting for an update for the patch that's the most game-changing for me, and some others.
  4. I think you read my posts wrong. I'm not angry.
  5. The support can't help with my issue, I've been there. I've tried all community fixes. Just waiting on the patch now.
  6. The point was to get across that the thread containing the information was locked 55 hours ago. Locked. That's why there's no update on it, and i'm only complaining since the game is unplayable until it's released.
  7. You seem like a nice chap.
  8. Nice post, but you're a bit wrong. Looking at it from a programming stand-point the "engine" is the overall functionality, of the thing that the game runs on. For example, Gears of War was a game I'm not so happy about, and there was a lot of issues for people. The "engine" it was programmed on, is the most renown engine of all time, Unreal Engine. Just because the game has issues, does not mean it's the engine's fault. ArmA 2's Engine, is a great engine. Actually, it's still a huge issue, and it was back since 1.7.2, not 1.7.2.3.
  9. You can't say that about free-to-play MMO's. DayZ has built a community of near 1 million players, and weather or not we paid, if there's demand, there's a debt. I'm not demanding anything from the dev team, I'm simply saying their communication is low, and their product is high, that's mostly good. Your immatation of me complaining about my money badly spent and full-caps rage is wrong. The engine it'self is actually really good, really mod-welcome, and friendly to developers. The engine's security is a different story, it's a good engine.
  10. No offence, but I've experienced hackers on LARGE scales with any anti-cheat, any. Programming your own anti-cheat is by far the best way to fend off hackers. Using something you can download for SDK or any dev purposes like BattlEye and VAC can be reverse engineered by the hackers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHa3I8crDJw
  11. Thank you for the tip. But I've literally tried every fix. I've spent hours looking through logs, and testing settings to get my situation to be as acceptable as possible. Thinking I'm a troll.... Look at their last updates and see for yourself. Your hate isn't necessary here.
  12. I can 100% guarantee it's not because of faulty hardware. If it's caused by my system's pieces in conjunction with each-other is a different scenario entirely. I've had NO other issues with any other game. None at all, not even a single instance with artifacting. ArmA 2 is the ONLY game I've had issues with artifacting with. Others have had the same problems, but I've managed since the latest patch. For me, the artifacting is always there, 100% of the time when player-placed razor wire is there, and every time there's a military corpse, only those. Hardware-based artifacting isn't picky, DayZ is. Also, I can avoid any artifacting if -- when playing -- I restart the client every hour after changing my profile's sceneComplexity to 100000 from 150000. Having this many restarts just to exist in Stary is ridiculous.

    1.62 changelog

To all the people who are having to take more than 1 shot: Download DayZ Commander at dayzcommander.com, use it to search for servers without "Armor" enabled. The guns work perfectly.

    1.62 changelog

The change-log has not been updated in a while. Also, you might be on a server with "armor" enabled. I know "armor" is an option, but I don't know exactly what it does, maybe that's it.

    Bounty's for bandits!

I'll go at it! Name: Viper Last known location: US130, SE of Stary Reasoning: Player Death-Dodged when I ambushed his group. EDIT: Also forgot to mention that he left his friend, Lt. T-Steins to die by my hands, his matches went to a good cause. Have fun.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.4

You know, I actually don't agree with a ban going to people who Death-Dodged by Alt-F4ing. I do, however, like the idea of putting a "bounty" on that person. What I mean by bounty, is: The person who death dodges enough times, gets a personal map marker revealed to everyone who has a map. And whoever can hunt that person, since they're suppose to be dead anyway :). This way, an uneducated (about the rules) or stupid person can still play if they mess up bad enough, but still take a punishment.
  21. I'm so sorry I death-dodged by aborting once we ran away from you. I don't normally do this, and this was my first time. You see, the situation was: Before the restart, we looted a heli crash site which spawned a second set of zombies when we were looting. We got hit many times, lot a lot of blood, only one bandage. We used our blood bags to keep blood up, and one bandage to keep one alive. The server then restarted, and we RAN to Stary, or at least to the hill where you were waiting. You totally deserved that kill, but we logged out for the server ate my DMR and 4 mags for it. I had an LMG with no ammo in my back pack. I would have engaged, but since the server ate my main weapon, I felt it was not a fair fight, and didn't want to die because of a fault of the server. To who ever wanted us dead, I'm sincerely sorry, I didn't want to, but had to. Signed, Zod
  22. I don't think you're right. I'm sorry for the fact that I didn't let him kill me, I'm sorry he wasted his bullets, and I'm sorry that I Alt-F4. But I'm NOT sorry the server deleted my only weapons, and spawned me in front of a person. Again, if the server messes up, I'm going to do every thing I can to not take fault for THAT mess up. I'm not hitting respawn, but thanks for the suggestion.
  23. I sometimes can't believe the things that come out of people's mouth's (in this case, keyboard). You are so eager to prove yourself right, you'd deny a simple fact. No one fights a hacker, they're cheating. They do not add to any good "experience". The game is alpha, and there's a lot of bugs, hackers, and exploiters. I'll avoid as much as I can, to have a simple, nice, fair, and legitimate game-play time. I alt-f4'd, yeah. The server took my weapons, it's as if I got kicked from a movie theater because someone stole my ticket. What I did is COMPLETELY excusable by any rational person. I'll never F4 from a good engagement, never. So, to all the haters, just deal with it.
  24. People seem to think that. What would you do, if a hacker came in and started shooting at you?
