    Dayz ENB thread

With VAC in place, there's no way something like that would fly.
  2. You don't have to disable post processing all the way to get rid of depth of field. Just setting it to low (or normal I can't remember) will do it.
  3. I agree. I think it's great that it forces people to seek others. I think OP's complaint is exactly what was intended. I've played a KoS bandit in DZM, and this would have gone a long way to make things more engrossing and less boring. I struggled to find a reason to not KoS in the mod. You were usually at a disadvantage if you played otherwise. I think there needs to be even more done to add to the appeal of teamwork.
  4. Don't waste your time/money. Running your "own" server does not benefit you in any way. "Supporting" the mod will not even get you a pat on the back, let let give you a slot in your own server (just people bitching about admin abuse). Find someone else's and play on that. Yes I used to run my own server. No it wasn't blacklisted nor was I on the receiving end of abuse accusations. I just got sick of seeing endless, ungrateful posts from players and devs alike toward people that put in their OWN money to provide a place for others to play for free. Once/if the community moves out of the police state it currently exists in, I'll host again.
  5. Here's a thought. Make an organized SINGLE list of the rules for servers, if you're going to be nazis about it. Having to read 18 different threads to get all the rules is annoying. I'm not going to keep paying for a server if I have to be harassed about not knowing the rules as soon as someone pulls them out of their ass. I pay to support a mod I like. Don't make me regret it.
  6. Same problem here. Restarting the server solves it (temporarily)
  7. ones that relied on persistence as a core mechanic of gameplay and offered servers that max at 50 slots? nope (i really hope you're not trying to suggest that dayz's online situation is even remotely comparable to any other major market fps) Major FPS? No, otherwise DayZ wouldn't have it's own niche. Games with server-specific persistence for numerous players? Certainly. Mount and Blade: Warband's aptly named mod "Persistent World" has so-many thousands (around 10k) of players, and no where near as many servers has are available in DayZ. It has 19 total. Meaning it has a very high player concentration. That mod is an equally, if not more complicated RPG.
  8. This thread and any complaint like it wouldn't exist if each server was a private hive
