Rocket, In regards to logins/logouts and looking for a good server to play on: I've been noticing quite a bit of name changes in server names lately, but so far I've not been able to always find a good filter for server names for the rules that I want. Has there been discussions about standardized naming to allow people to run filters based on versions/rules? I can run a filter for 1.7.2.4 to find all the servers running the brand new patch, I can run a filter looking for servers with 3rd person off, ch off or tags off in the name with various spellings. I can run a filter for the arma beta version (Though this isn't much of an issue anymore since all servers need to run the beta now) What I'd like to be able to do is plug in a string say: "1.7.2.3)[3p=off,ch=off,tag=off]" and find servers that fit the version and rules I'm looking for. With current naming its usually "Dayz - something (1.7.2.3 / 95208) blah, maybe rules here" I guess what I'm looking for is more standardized naming that lets you do filters for version and rules without getting the beta version in the way or using different naming for the rules. This'll save time and server hopping going from place to place looking for a server with a good ruleset when the regular servers are full. People easily jump in and play how they want and don't have to worry about racking flags on their account looking for new homes.

I'd like to see (or should I say hear?) some sort of audio clip played in 3d space at the location of a player that aborts out to the lobby screen. The main goal of this feature is to help inform players when that guy around the corner pops out of your server to go run behind you and blast you in the back from another server. I'd like to consider the log in and log out audio cues to be 2 separate ideas in this thread. //------------------------------ I had contemplated whether playing an audio cue when a player logs in, but I feel that is too much free information for players in the vicinity. The only time I could see a use for the audio cue when a player comes back into the server is if you could do a check for somebody reconnecting to the server in a short period of time. Say 5 minutes. If a player is logging in for the first time that night to play, no audio cue will give them away. If a player logs out, runs around in another server, then comes back in to blast you in the back, a nice ping of some sort should announce their ass-hatery. If they wait more than 5 minutes before coming back in, you'll likely have moved on and its not really an issue and they can come back in quietly.

It'll be interesting to see whether the 24hour time limit on usage will be enough to start getting some of the vehicle stashes back in the boundaries. Having somebody hop in a vehicle once a day isn't much of an issue. But its a good start. Chernarus is feeling a bit small these days, but with a working spawning system for vehicles, their loss will just be like other gear, not an issue. Go out and find a new one. As long as you know there's actual vehicles somewhere in the bounds. -

Does using vehicle inventory count as "refreshing" or do you need to move them around? I also noticed earlier that you mentioned clearing stuff at different rates if they're in or out of bounds. Is using a vehicle stashed out of bounds at least once every 48 hours often enough to prevent it getting reset? -

Glad to hear tents will go away when destroyed with 1.7.2, a single badly placed tent can give away a whole stash as it is. -

Meh, feels like a "Go here to kill things" map that players can/should figure out on their own. -
The longer barrel actually negates the lower grade civvy ammo. And that's just a matter of availability, the ps90 will fire full loads if available. Take a look at these tables if you're curious. http://www.fivesevenforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=55

Not roughly, they use the exact same ammo. . . Only difference between the two is a longer barrel and semi-auto only on the civvy version. PS90 is a great weapon.

Was the 1 hit knockout threshold raised/bugged? I've been noticing getting knocked out at high blood levels a lot more recently. (Within the last 2 weeks) Or is it just my imagination?

The tent fix doesn't appear to have taken hold. Ranges around tents are still large. Tried various places, forested, non-forested near trees/bushes, it seems to be the same as last patch.

One issue with the soundtrack vs long audio bits is that the position of the audio source doesn't seem to update as it plays, only when the new sound starts up. I noticed this the most with the bells in cherno. Whether that's something specific to my system or more prevalent I don't know. But a nice distinct sound that you can't mistake for something else is definitely a plus. -

2 bolts to down a zed from anything but a headshot has been the norm.

I've been able to sucessfully place tents in 1.5.8.4, though the radius is noticeably larger than it was in 1.5.7, which was already large. Server with tent placement that worked was US4 beta version.
