    Starting a comunity camp

    Sounds like a good idea. Until the bandit squads get wind of it, the location and server. Good luck. :D

    Also note that a vehicle is persistant on that server. It can screw up sometimes (server crashes, etc, but tents can too). Vehicles are far better storage areas, due to being able to hide them in the woods, while tents must be in the open.

    There are fuel sources at gas stations, near construction areas, utility areas and large barns.

    Where does everyone go?

    First I run around Cherno without a care, then up to stary sobor, then NW airfield, then into the woods. After that I usually make trips into the closest town and build a car. You won't see me anyway, I have ghille and NVGs.

    Best Spots for Camps?

    A friend and I have obtained a car and are now ready to stash it somewhere. I'm wondering, where is the best place to setup a camp? I'd like it to be near a fuel source and possibly a good location of loot. The extreme edges of the map aren't very safe in my opinion, as players frequently make runs along the edge, so try to avoid those locations. Also, it would need to be an area in which I could camouflage a car. Feel free to post about camping locations not pertaining to specifications here, such as any nice places you've found.

    L85A2 RIS CWS 5 x STANAG mags M9 Silenced 4 x M9SD mags SVD Camo M4A1 CCO Ghille Suit All basic equipment (Toolbox, matches, hunting knife, etc) Binoculars Red Sedan (Slow as a snail off road, but amazing on roads) Tons of food and liquids Missing only NVG, Rangefinder and radio. (And an M107 or DMR)

    Why do -you- kill?

    I kill because, during most encounters with a player, I've found that most people will shoot on sight. Even if I see a player and he doesn't see me, I shall kill him. There is always a chance he will turn around (Paranoia at the max). I just don't want to die. The easiest way not to die: Kill everyone. I also like loot. People carry loot. An even better reason to kill them. Exactly. They usually stab you in the back. I'd rather team up with people I know.

    Did the heartbeat bandit feature get removed?

    I have a friend who is a bandit, and one who is not. No heartbeats on either of them. They don't hear it on me, and I am a bandit. It probably is glitchy.

    Spawning without a gun is ridiculous.

    I feel that spawning without a weapon is fine. This is due to several reasons. Sure, spawning with a weapon allows you to defend yourself, but spawning without one gives more of a challenge. Players who yell about how horrible no-weapon spawns are, think about it like this: How many times have you been killed (As a fully geared up player with hours into your character) by a noob with a makarov. Not that many, but still a few times. A makarov isn't that powerful anyway. You'll see that most of the combat you'll get into with a makarov, you end up running from. Just man up, sprint to the nearest supermarket/firestation and get a gun. An example of this amazing, no-weapon spawning follows: My friend and I were making a long car trip from kamenka to the NE airfield. We drove through all the major coastal cities (Yeah, we knew of the danger, we liked it.) Many times we were shot at from far away, all the shots missed. We continued to drive, a lone noob stood at the road's edge. He had no gun. If he would have the old makarov, there would have been a large chance he would have ended our lives, took our car, and probably died himself. The old starting makarov should not be thought of as a starter zombie killer only, but instead a way for bandits to get their hands on geared up players' items.
