I'm in the same situation atm m8, Multiplay restrict access to the files you need to ban people to stop you violating Rocket's lame terms of service. We had to argue the toss with them to get them to release the log files too us so we could send off proof to the DayZ team. He still comes back tho so he's not been banned which shows the Dayz team don't care. You can always just kick the hacker repeatedly, I did that even after one little faggot changed his name (player ID stays the same) like 3 times.

I'd love this idea of one character too a server tbh I only play on my own atm anyway, you could build up a community of like minded people on the one server. You might even be able to tempt people to contribute towards it's upkeep as they will have invested time and effort there.

I agree to an extent but not with the tank idea lol. I'd like to see zombies made more dangerous. Maybe have a chance of them spawning near player made camps. I'd like to have the chance of bumping into them in the woods, make it so no place is safe from them. Hordes that spawn especially if there is a player battle going on, spice things up a little. Dangerous wild animals, bears and wolves for example.

Happened to me a few times, same situation as you stuck in a barn thinking we will kill the 5 zombies we counted only to find the have magically multiplied lol. Also at green mountain by the big radio tower they just endlessly spawn.

Sounds like the exact same gear the script kiddie that plagues my server has. He just teleports behind you a shoots you in the head the repeats it when you spawn on the beach lol. I'm guessing like the guy you encountered they used their uber hacking skills to copy and paste the scripts off a hacker forum.

He might not be able to fix it but he can allow server admins to deal with it. I stand by what I said I just edited it because I thought it unwise to swear on the forum since anyone can read it.

Then you load back in still stuck in the wilderness or still a cow. It is Rockets fault lol it's his mod, his update and as much as this will pain you to hear I and quite a few others feel he's got it horribly wrong with this feature. If there was some way to allow respawn because of being teleported to the wilderness or turned into a cow I'd think it was a great feature because I DO think people abusing the respawn button is wrong but this isn't the right way to fix it.

Make matches last only a set number of times, like say the box you find in the store only happens to have 5 matches in. Then another box you find in a house has 10 matches in, also as you find them the matches can stack up a max of say 40. Like a real box of matches. Another thing, how about a slight chance they get wet and ruined when it rains like a 1/10 or 1/20.

Again with the ALPHA remarks....you groupies love waving that flag the second someone voices an opinion that differs from your own or dares to criticise the mod you worship. You do realise what an ALPHA is all about don't you? The whole point if for people express ideas or suggest changes to make it better. In this case I feel that one fix for a problem (strain on hive/people abusing respawn) is going to make a more serious problem (script kiddies) much much worse. Time will tell but it's starting to get pretty obvious that the Dev team doesn't care about the scripting problem. If they did they would have allowed server admins to ban people ages ago. They are uber rare atm but I like it this way. Just keep hitting the residential areas and the grocery stores. Matches are usually the last thing I find but keep looking in the residential areas, you'll find some eventually.

I can't wait to login and get turned into a cow or teleported to the middle of nowhere then have to wait until my character starves....... what a box of win that is going to be....Does Rocket actually think before he adds something to the mod or better yet does he play the mod at all? All he's done in some half arsed attempt to ease the strain on his precious Hive server is hand the script kiddies an amazing new toy with which to grief people. GG Rocket.

That will just hurt the legit players, script kiddies will continue to run the scripts they downloaded after a DB wipe.

I want to be able to ban people from my server, the same script kiddie keeps coming on mine and killing everyone until they start leaving. My current host Multiplay won't allow access to the required files to allow banning, obviously to prevent server admins from breaking Rocket's wonderful terms of service. So does anyone know of a good server host in the UK or EU that will allow access to the ban list so we can ban script kiddies when we catch them? I know this will be against Rocket's terms of service but I couldn't give a flying fuck tbh.

Sadly without access to the script folder we cannot submit anything that would result in a ban. We just have the word of 4 different people. The basic log file shows little other than the person in question can surcumvent Battleye when joining the server and also managed to login as Admin somehow.

I know how you feel, we have a regular script kiddie comes on our server most days teleporting to people then shooting them but we can't do anything about it because good old Rocket says you can't ban someone from your own fucking server....

Seriously underrated, it's my favourite gun in the game and has nothing fancy about so if someone kills you they are likely to be disappointed.
