There is a way to disable this acceleration in the options. I'm way too lazy to launch up ArmA 2 just to look what it's name was, but I disabled right after I got the game running.

The only YouTubers that I watch and are playing DayZ are the Hatfilms, but I would say that Sacriel42 is the best one, from his videos. Hatfilms aren't experts in the game, but they play the game more like a survival game and not as a PvP game, which is good.

If you keep killing enough survivors as a hero, your humanity will go down and you will become a bandit. Bandits can kill anyone without worrying about humanity.

Suppressed .45 carbine found in civilian loot? Nope. Seems like a cool weapon, but Ruger 10/22 would be more likely a better low-value rifle for zombie killing. -
Why? Sick bandits should be able to drag newbies up to a forest and then gut them :|

AKM would be the ultimate survivor weapon you're looking for. Common ammo and a very powerful rifle. Did a short work of a :bandit: in 2 seconds.

Yep, too hard to implement and an useless feature in general. And to add: Smoking doesn't make you look tougher or awesome, like you pointed. More likely shows how weak and unfit you are.

I think the vehicles are gone into the northern forests on 90% of the servers. I once actually found a bus in Stary Sobor, too bad one guy was ready to ambush me soon as he heard me go in the bus (It wasn't his bus, since it was still half-broken with no gas.)

Distinction between bandit and murderer?

Well, I think it's fair to shoot new spawns if you warn them not come into the city you are in, for example. If they get their hands on a weapon they will most likely gonna try to kill you, because they have nothing to lose. Otherwise it's completely pointless. -

I'm very unlikely to help another person if he has a hacked in weapon and a ghillie suit (I know he would shoot me just for laughs, so I'm gonna take the advantage and kill him instead). If he has the survivor outfit and a winchester, then we can talk though. And I would never turn back on someone after they have been friendly enough not to shoot me, I'm not lame like that. -
Big cities of Chernarus extended with tunnels/sewers and the biggest buildings should have offices and rooms inside. (Hotel for example) And of course, some island with lots of zombies, a working alarm (Break in and a lot of zombies will get alerted) system and a lot of barracks/bunkers would be nice as well. A proper end-game place, you could only actually enter it if you had a toolbox or some satchel charges for quicker entrance :D So if some new spawn would try to swim and break in, he wouldn't get in.

This would kill the game, the reason Rocket didn't want singleplayer missions to be made is exactly because there would be no other survivors to shoot you.

Distinction between bandit and murderer?

I'm a proper bandit myself, not a murderer. Only times when I murder, without needing the loot is when I know the guy will eventually notice me and shoot, or when I'm being shot at. I don't even have the bandit skin, because I usually ignore the people. -
I was talking bout real life here, since there are no supersonic bullets in DayZ... Better stick to topic next time, then.

Supersonic and subsonic bullets are a whole different thing... Both can be fired out of a suppressed weapon, but subsonic ones will be more effective, leaving minimal noise.

So I was just starting off a new game, found an AK-74 with the sight from Balota. I decided to go raid the deer stands near, so I dropped the AK in one of the tents and raided all the deer stands with my hatchet. Found one AKS-74u and a few extra mags. Then I killed one military zombie that had a frag grenade on it, so obviously I picked it up. Well, later on I went to pick up the mags and the AK. I put the hatchet back to the toolbelt and I equip the frag grenade automatically, without even noticing it. I'm in third person, about to pick up the rifle when I miss the loot spot and accidentally throw the frag inside the tent. I ran like hell, but still died.

Wow, you are meeting a lot of friendly people. My first time meeting someone was in the Balota airstrip, what nearly resulted in a shooting. I had a Makarov with no mags and this guy runs out of the ACT tower, I'm right by it. I aim my Makarov at his head and then a moment of silence goes by, both aiming weapons at each other. Then he does what a good guy would, he runs away.

I found an FN Fal with the night scope yesterday and I left it behind, because I had an AKM and NVGs. I got murdered later on, so it wouldn't matter anyways. Do you think I did a bad move there? -
