Yesterday, I caused some chaos in Cherno without even shooting anyone. I wanted to cook some meat, so I could gain some blood back and Cherno construction site was the closest one to me, so I went there. When I got to the hill with the mass grave, I took it easy and didn't run much, because I heard some DMR shots coming from the other side of the hill. Then, after I got in the treeline, I decided not to waste too much time looking at possible snipers and went in. While running, I got hit by a rifle, possibly an M16. (I think the reason I got hit was because the guys heard the DMR and wanted to get him) I went behind a tree, bandaged myself and ran in to cook the meat as fast as possible. At the same time, I created a fight between the sniper and the two other shooters in Cherno. I just hid in the construction site for a while and escaped from the front doors, via the coast. I really don't even know how I survived from the guys shooting at first, my guess would be shit shooters with duped gear.

The worst idea ever is to chuck your friend a drink while in a firefight... You have a fight to do. I can only image this going like "Hey, I just bandaged myself, throw me a few steaks!" I think there should be bricks or rocks to throw, in addition to the useless tin cans.

It's either this month or December. I think it will be December though. Also remember: It's not the full product, it's the alpha of the standalone. More stuff will be added later.

HAH, so funny and not overused!! I was glad I didn't see this shit in a few days, but now you had to do it. First off, DayZ general discussion is NOT the place to post images. There's a subforum called "DayZ gallery" which is dedicated to DayZ pictures and movies. Then, when you have clicked your way trough to the "DayZ gallery", you can then find a sticky called "DayZ memes", which merges all these shitty jokes in one topic. Now off you go!

Every situation: AKM. No need for fancy "setups", just grab the rifle and smoke some bandits.

The current one is fine, I think there shouldn't be a backpack though.. And please no weapons for starters.

Well, I think integrally suppressed weapons shouldn't aggro, because they are dead quiet. The suppressors you can find (Standalone) should be louder. To add, I think melee weapons, crossbows and bows shouldn't make any noise.

The hearing on grass and other softer terrains was tweaked last patch, which is a huge improvement to 1.7.2 patch. But still, the hearing on roads is bugged.. If you run, crouch-run or sprint on a road, the zombies will hear you from 80 meters, which can't be right. Otherwise it's fine, I can sneak while crouched again. No need to crawl around anymore.

If this is meant to be a realistic survival game, I don't think you could get to eat one half-grown bean before you die or your farm gets destroyed "for fun"..

The fences should also break when enough zombies hit it at the same time. :D

I think they should be able to run in buildings, but would be clumsy in stairs/doorways. They should also be more efficient in hordes. After that, you wouldn't want to run trough cities, right? I said this earlier, but I would want zombies to have some kind of awareness system. When they have heard a noise/gunshot, they will start wandering there and should be able to see you further away while aware. Then, if they are not aware of you, you could sneak past them easier. And if you shoot a rifle 30 meters away from zombies, they should just aggro normally.

It's my first murder. I found a hatchet from Balota, went straight to the airfield. Then when I went in the tower, a guy with an AKM came crawling down the stairs. He was aiming it at me, so in about 2 seconds, I was on him and hacking him to death. Later on, I discovered that he had absolutely no magazines for the weapon and had small amounts of supplies. So that was pretty bad.

I once let two DMR snipers at Cherno taste their own medicine. Well concealed sniping spot and an M24, at 1000 meters. I'm guessing the distance, because I had nothing but normal binoculars. But it was for sure more than 800 meters, because the bullet dropped a bit when zeroed to the max.

Yeah, scalping off beards with a hatchet sounds like a very good trophy... No.

This would be a great thing to add. It should lower your humanity more than killing someone (Considering humanity will be in the standalone, just without the skins) and human flesh should be just as good as other food. It should be gruesome, a gutted corpse should be something you don't wanna see.

Just saying that there is an unofficial singleplayer mission.

I don't think it should replace the original Chernarus atmosphere, that should be in another map.

AKM is a good PvP weapon and it's my favourite rifle (I am a legit player). But nothing wins AS50, it destroys everything. I haven't found the actual weapon, but I found 3 mags for it one day. Yeah, three actual AS50 mags, not the M107 ones.

I have the singleplayer mission and an old version of DayZ, so I made a shortcut what only loads the old version of DayZ. Very fast and easy. I'm not sending it to anyone though. Please no annoying private messages.

The tl;dr part is almost as long as the full story, why did you do that?
