Right.. And now tell me why other players with guns aren't a bigger threat than predictable zombies with no guns? The other players are still the big threat. And I do believe that loot spots will still have the most zombies. Few zombies in middle of a field are not more dangerous than a guy hiding in the treeline.

I usually wont kill unarmed people at all, but sometimes shooting them in the legs is fun. Hatchet players though, those are my nemesis. If I see one melee player running around I'll light him up.

I don't understand how making the zombies a threat is gonna make PvP pointless... Other players will always be the big threat. And outside loot spawns the only thing that can kill you is other players.

I shot a hatchet dude in his head and it was glorious. I even had a random with me I met earlier. Only he knows it's true. But it is not a good weapon against other armed players. It doesn't do much damage, the arrow travels slow and drops fast, the sights are f'd up (Even though you can use them if you know how, I do) and takes ages to reload. Getting a 200 meter hit is like getting a 3km hit with a M107.

I'd be surprised if we don't get this.

I think this is exactly what DayZ misses. I don't think i would be decapitating people but something this vile would happen in a real apocalypse.

Okay, here's how: Make sure you are walking and aiming before you hit. Then, all you need to do is learn at what distance you can hit them at. Which is pretty far.

One i know that would work is shooting .38 special rounds from a .357 revolver. It's just as wide so it fits in the chamber

There should be emotions for being exhausted, getting hurt and getting shot/melee'd at.

Walking zombies would be boring.. Might aswell buy ArmA 3 and play wasteland if you want walking zombies. Aka some moaning things that can never catch up to you and are absolutely useless.
