Keep your bottle or canteen in your inventory where you want it, make sure your hands are empty (put your guns away) and drag the bottle to the slot under your character that says "hands". Then use the scroll wheel and click "fill bottle"

Yes, must be added. :D You can already use a weapon flashlight as a handheld flashlight and bayonets as knives.

I understand that they need a buff because theres only a few of them per town, but I just realized that they can see you crouching 200 meters away. Yesterday I just entered Krastonav, killed a zombie, switched to my gun and crouch-walked for a while when I saw something that looked like a player. I stopped (still crouched), zoomed in and squinted my eyes, but it was just a zombie in an awkward idle pose. Then he snaps into his normal animation and all of sudden starts running at me. He runs in a straight line through a house and a few fences like a goddamn terminator. And then I hit him in the toe with my fireman's axe.

I found a rotten kiwi in one. Theyre useless for a new character, imo. I usually go to the storage lockers and the supermarket. Also check out cars.

Run or defend yourself is my experience. A bloodthirsty guy with an FNX is gonna be frustrated and not chase you after you start sprinting unarmed through the woods. I have never gotten hit by an FNX even though I got shot at twice (both fired their magazines empty).

I have never even seen a Mosin (expect on the guy I killed) and I only found the FNX just about 2 military bases after I found the M4.. plus I got 4 M4 mags and only one for my FNX. I do have 96 (mag included) rounds for the FNX though.

Pfft, you just need some really thin conducting shit (Like 0.2 copper wire) and make a circuit. It might burn your fingers.

Yeah, he has taken it into his hands from the ground/from a dead body. But he pretty much has to drop it after he shoots it empty, unless he has more rounds for it. Which I doubt if he's already carrying an M4.

I've been alive for 2 days, probably 4 in-game hours. Gone from Balota to Vybor and from there to Novy Sobor. Travelling takes a lot more than in the mod.

No one is disrespectful, a .45 is gonna kill you if you get shot 3 times. The weapon damage is fine. If you just keep "balancing" the guns into unrealistic values then its gonna be more whining.

You need a better weapon.. Killing a zombie with a wrench/baseball bat takes 2 hits to the head, first one knocks them out, shovel 1 hit to the head, splitting axe 2 body hits, 1 to the head and finally fireman's axe, 1 hit anywhere. I haven't been able to kill zombies with body hits if its a blunt weapon. I don't know about bayonets and knives cause I haven't used them.

ahh, so I went norther and decided to go to the military base near the small hill in the open fields near Zeleno. I was going to the last barrack when I noticed something weird, the door was open. Then I heard some pain sounds. I very slowly backed up to the corner while aiming at the door, then laid down next to a bush. He came out with a mosin, so I shot him up. I think he would have done the same, I was just simply surviving. And I found lots of new magazines, pristine military clothing and pristine parts for my M4.

I don't really know since the character doesn't say it too often, but I think I got knocked unconscious and decided to hit respawn and kill myself because I was just sliding around on the ground and passing out again (I know disconnecting and joining back fixes it but nah) Fitting video (DayZ mod):

Knocking out players just takes a few hits to the head even with fists.

I like the new storage locker, I can find loads of stuff inside them. The other is probably the city buildings. I also saw a cool hunting cabin in the woods.

The new Zeleno is really impressive.. I first found the military base and then went downtown. Really good work by the map designers.

Nah, the server might have been outdated and not running on the same version as you. All the servers probably aren't updated to the recent patch yet. You just need to change the server.

It's like a bunch of people on sidechat, even though I can't access it. I was just about to mute every player on the server to make it stop but I just ended up changing servers.

My character changed to the default one when I got on a server that used an old DayZ version. I think I know it's the reason because I couldn't open doors, etc. and Rocket said that's caused by a different DayZ version than the server. When I changed to a server with a matching version, I started as the guy I made.
