Poll: Should a logout timer be implemented

In my opinion it should let you log out, BUT your character would be stuck on the server and it should not let you join another server for 20 seconds. Or then the log out should kill you instantly and leave your body there (with a disclaimer). I don't like being stuck in the server. Already had that problem in the DayZ mod... -
You're such a nice guy, you shoot at people and in the process clean their wounds :D

Move on and come back when it's a full game.. But if you really wanna know, I had this problem too, I joined 4 server, all had me "receiving" and unable to use anything. I just kept joining servers until it worked.

I mean sure you can just shoot anyone you want but it can be fun to interact with them. I have shot a few players I could have handcuffed and disarmed because I don't take any risks with my loot, but they all would have made it alive if I handcuffed them and they co-operated. Maybe with their rifles thrown into the woods after shooting it empty, but alive.

I have the whole map. I first found SE and NE maps (Which make a whole east map), then a W map. Combined them and bam, a pristine "Map" without extra letters. It says a full map of Chernarus in the description. It does have water pumps.

I don't wanna wait to log out from a game if I really need to do something in real life. If that's how it is then I'll force kill DayZ (I dont really care if my character dies or not). Just like in the mod. And right now, I'm pretty sure it leaves your character on the server but takes it away when you log into another one. So that's the problem. -
And just to add, you do hear the waves pretty far away, so just leave the coast completely. Go to the hills and see if it makes any difference.

Oh they are allowed, you're just not getting any special "not being able to shoot a player" gamemode. Now go figure out how to make a PVE server. Plus it doesn't make any sense to have a PVE server right now. What are you gonna kill, a few zombies per town? And that's the ending of the game.

This is true when they're both fresh spawns. I saw a guy in Berezino who actually responded to me and came outside when I told him I was out there (I had a fire extinguisher and he had nothing). We then did silly character animation shit and both went different ways, looting different parts of town. I even had handcuffs and first thought it would be hilarious if I handcuffed him but I decided not to. -

I've only killed 5 people in total (If an assisted suicide of some guy in a spawn point counts).. And gotten killed twice by other players. I'm too scared to melee rush armed people. :| -

Now shhh don't tell, but the school/office building with 3 floors actually always spawns gun related loot in the 3rd floor room. I don't know why though. It just happens. I found 2 revolvers and a chest holster in the same goddamn spot twice.

I was in the military base south of Vybor. I came in from the big hill and after some very careful sneaking with my gun raised, I realized there was no-one in there. So I started from the barracks. Every door was closed in every barrack. Then when I went into the last barrack kinda isolated in the corner, I saw the door was open and heard pain sounds just before I entered it. I backed away to a corner with some bushes, went prone and shot him up when he came out. He had no idea that I was there, but we would have shot me for sure. So it was pretty much a quick improvised ambush over in 15 seconds.

Well one guy thought he was smart, I saw him up on the hospital roof (In Elektro), ran inside and held him up there typing stuff in direct chat with an axe. He didn't think of using the ladder so we both were silently waiting in 2 spots. I start running up, he comes through, I hit him once but he shot me with his M4. -
Character randomly sliding forward across the ground while not holding W

The bug report shit doesn't seem to be working or letting me register, so someone can drop this off over here if you got an account. So you sometimes start sliding/lagging forwards and you can't stop it. It also warps you through walls, if you're near one. I mean its not that big of a deal unless you're in a 2 story building where you magically warp through the wall and fall to your death. Happened to me twice, last time about 10 minutes ago. For me this started in the revolver update. I didn't have this problem in the previous ones. -
You can get a good self portrait by your inventory screen or taking a photo of the main menu.

DayZ is NOT fun for new players, which makes me worried.

Sure, you can give a new player poor directions, run around for 1.5 hours and then get killed by a bandit who saw you running around with no awareness. 1.5 hours is a lot of time. I can't even play for 1.5 hours straight. In 2 hours I would be fully geared and gone through 40% of the map. It literally takes 15 mins to run through the south coast. -
My computer is probably worth less (today, 2010 price 600$) than a PS4 and I can play it with medium settings (auto). But the best is when you put all on lowest so it doesn't drop too much in Cherno or when zooming. And just to add, this PC is Acer straight from the factory, never had a part changed.
