Hey guys, So I've been playing now for about a week, loving it so far it's the zombie game I've been waiting for. My question is regarding the number of zombies on the server ( in the debug monitor ), how is this calculated? Are there x amount of zombies per person on the server or is it based on people occupying different areas of the map? For example tonight I was taken out by a bandit ( stupid me let my guard down for a minute ) and I respawned on the coast just north of Solnichniy ( by the petrol station ). Now I know there are a couple of good barns just north of there so made a beeline straight for them... Whilst doing so I noticed that the number of zombies was at 360/369. I stopped, and checked the area surrounding the barns out, surprisingly I saw no zombies whatsoever. Again I looked at the zombie figure and it was 368/369. Seeing this I sprinted to the barns and encountered no zombies, i managed to loot both barns ( picking up a sweet sniper rifle in the process ) and left...still no zombies. It was only when leaving I noticed the zombies had appeared ( now of the top of my head I can't remember if the max number of zombies had increased or not ). I managed to avoid the zombies and headed to Nizhnoye, again surveying the area no zombies, I sprinted in and got to the barn before they spawned... Am I right in thinking if everyone is in one or two areas and you spawn well outside of that range, do you have a chance to not see any zombies until the game realises that there are none there, or does the number of zombies increase dependent on where people are on the map? Sorry for the rather long post, and I hope that this makes sense...any info/feedback would be appreciated.
