Weapon drops ANY kind of ammo in the inventory

Ok, it happens also if you pick up a knife (sic !) or an axe. The second you pick it up all the ammo and the main weapon drops to the ground. Even if you pick up the knife. Very bugged and broken. Please fix. -

Broken legs from zombies is retarded. Bleeding has to be nerfed too. You should only bleed if loosing too much blood, i.e. 3k. The lower you HP is, the severe the bleedig. For example: If your HP drops below 9k - minor bleeding below 6k - medium bleeding below 3k - major bleeding Oh man, exactly what I feeling right now. Play for hours getting loot, then 1 hit of a zombie with a broken legs and no morphine = GG. I had even worse experience today. I had full gear with a rifle with 4 clips and a pistol with 5 clips. I was proning on the ground and got a broken leg out of the thin air. Just like that. Remove the stupid broken leg, because its glitchy and bugged. -

Please fix the following bug: If taking the axe or a knife from the ground all of your ammo of any type drops to the ground.

[/quote'] lol I play Arma 2 because its 90% VBS2 and i can't play VBS2 because im not in the Military And about being able to Save SP is that even valid for what we are talking about? Since you cant save in multiplayer and since its a hardcore mechanic in a sense that you can loose all your progress playing for 5h the game should be less punishing for you mistakes or random noob killing you with 1 shot. Game design 101 right there.

Like I dont know that. For the third time - I played all the OFP/ARMA1/ARMA2 games and I love them. And yea, btw, about VBS2. If someon is so pro hardcore realistic military sim - go play VBS2 and GTFO. ARMA2 is being sold like a GAME, not a military simulator. If this game is so ultra realistic why the fuck you can save your game in single player ? Because you should. Because its still a game to enjoy. - How the fuck zombies break you LEGS ? In one hit ? Very realistic. - I cant enter every building? Very realistic. - I can die and respawn? WHAT ? Very realistic. - I cant have my main weapon on my back while using melee weapons ? Very realistic. - I am bleeding from one hit from the zombie to death ? Very realistic. - There are no useable cars in the apocalypse ? Very realistic. - There are no weapons in the whole cherno ? Very realistic. - Zombies dont have any loot apart from b beans or coke? Very realistic. - I can run for hours w/o being tired? Very realistic. - Zombies dont die frmo hunger? Very realistic. - People shooting everyone on sight? Very realistic. Now come again any say its a realistic game and I have to L2P or leave. FFS is a damn game. I know many thing are engine restrictions - thats why its still a game. So can we all agree that ARMA / DayZ doesnt try to be super realistic and compromises have to be made, its inevitable. If you can loose everything after 3h of looting in 1 sec, then at least make the game easier. ps. God, how I hate those elitist hardcore dipshit's telling me the game is not for me. This is what wrong with DayZ's community - arrogant hardcore idiots who dont know anything about game design and think everything is ok with DayZ's balance. Get a life.

*facepalm* about this game being realistic. You do realize its still a game? The only semi realistic part is the shooting mechanic. Everything else - a game. And it doesnt make sence in the sence of this mod. And how is diablo hardcore mechanic doesnt apply? It applies to all hardcore games - players that have smth to loose after playing 1h-50h should not die from 1 shoot. As I said - make normal and hardcore servers. Go play on hardcore dying from 1 shoot after looting for 3 hours. If you dont have things to do IRL not my problem.

Following suggestions will ADD to the gameplay without braking the core gameplay Rocket has in mind. The main idea is to add new gameplay elements to give players "more stuff to do" without turning the game into a regular FPS shooter. You still will die, but you will have more things to do and live maybe a little bit longer. Right now I feel the game being boring due to few things you can do. * zombies should not aggro on you instantly. You should get a warning, before they aggro. See below. -> allows for better sneaking mechanic, improves the gameplay. Doesnt punish the player immediately. * The "eye" indicator should change its color to more white (or any color or any other implementation) if the zombie is about to spot you. Zombies could make some aggro sound letting the player know he is about to get spotted. -> Instant zombie aggro brakes the game. Players should have a chance to hide w/o being spotted immediately. * If you are "spotted" by any zombie the eye indicator should let you know that. In my example being completely white and/or represent an open eye and/or flashing eye indicator. If zombies loose aggro on you the eye changes its state in to "not detected" again. -> the player should know that he is "hidden" again. * Zombies should stop following the player after some time. -> Right now almoust no escape mechanic if unarmed. Melee is broken too due to bleeding/broken legs. See below. -> better trial and error game play. Try to loot the town - fail - run away - come back later. Right now if you dont have any weapons you are most likely going to die. Running around the town to hope to get out of LOS will aggro even more zombies. * Nerf/remove bleeding from zombies. REMOVE broken legs from zombie attacks. Buff zombie damage and/or buff zombie HP. -> better game play, no insta death if broken leg or bleeding. -> players should have better chances fighting zombies with melee weapons. See below why. * Melee weapons should go into the secondary slot. -> better gameplay. More realistic w/o braking the game. -> still can have that empty weapon and kill some zombies for loot. * Let zombies drop _significantly_ bigger variety of items. The chance of dropping anything useful at all should also be increased. -> better game play -> killing zombies for loot will be very addictive and profitable (see Diablo series) * More spawn places overll - i.e. in front of _every_ building. -> small towns will actually be useful now. * (With the above being implemented) * Allow for _much_ more non broken vehicles to be able to drive "out of the box." Since small towns will become a good place too loot, driving across the whole map adds to the game. -> doesnt brake the game but rather improves it gameplay wise. You will still need to get fuel or repair the vehicle if being damage. -> more people will hunt and kill for vehicles. * Reduce the view distance and/or add fog to the whole map -> adds to the atmosphere + reduces being one shot by a sniper. -> adds to the element of surprise. * proning should make you almost invisible to zombies. Right now the detection range is way too high. * (could be hard to implement) * Some time after player's death a zombie with (the same) player's model should spawn at the same spot having ALL the gear the player had. Killing this zombie will let you loot his items. This zombie should have more HP and/or damage. -> New game play element of hunting dead players. * (could be hard to implement) * Make elite zombies with more HP/damage. They should have higher chance of dropping very good items. -> new game play element. * New zombies should not spawn out of the thin air but rather dead zombies should randomly revive. -> think twice before going near dead zombies.

Where did I say I am raging or qqing ? All I am saying - the mod in its current state (less weapon spawn, broken melee combat) is unenjoyable even for me. And I always thought I was a hardcore player, playing all games on hard and being familiar with OFP, ARMA1/2. I cant find any weapon and its retarded. Right know I run across whole Cherno and didnt find any gun. Then I wall killed from my back from some retarded bandit. I even didnt have the chance to run away. It is supposed to be fun ? Its not. What is the fun to run around w/o weapons for 1h looting all cherno and not finding any weapon only to be 2 shotted from the back by some idiot ? Is this the new definition of good game design ? Sorry, but its retarded. Just look at Diablo 3 hardcore mechanic. Blizzard always said - players should NOT be punished immediately. If you get 1 or 2 shotted in the game - its a fail game design. And dont talk about realism. ARMA 2 isnt realistic, and nor is DayZ. When will Rocket and "elitist hardcore" players realize, that making the game very hard, spawning almost no weapons tends to bandit playstyle. Right now everyone just shoots on sight, because weapons and other loot is very scarce. I thought It was obvious it would lead to even more PK. All I want for the sake of gameplay is: * more weapon spawn * more _possible_ spawn points i.e. in from of every building * no more broken legs from zombies * nerfed bleeding. You should only bleed if you loose 3-4k blood. * zombies should drop more loot. * Players should NOT die from 1-2 shots. Rocket should make so that regular servers have more blood for players, better loots etc and overall easier to survive. You still will die, but live longer. All the "hardcore elitist" players would still play on their hardcore servers dying from the rain, I dont care.

What: Melee weapons should take the SECONDARY slot. Why: more realistic, adds to the gameplay. More why: since ammo and weapons pretty rare right now, I often have a gun without bullets. But then I cant defend myself w/o dropping the weapon. Even if I drop my weapon ALL the ammo of any kind also drop to the ground. Another suggestion: remove the possibility of a zombie to break your legs. Why: Its unrealistic and plan stupid. Brakes the gameplay. Melee weapons dont really help right now with every zombies braking your legs / let you bleed on every third hit. If its removed the gameplay will become more enjoyable -> you could actually killing zombies even if you have weapon with ammo to make stealthy kills and save ammo.

Ever thought you can still complain about game balance and propose better gameplay elements w/o QQing? Ever thought not only casual COD kiddies can complain about the game balance being broken? No? Too bad. You are the worst kind of people on this forum. In your eyes you are either complain and are 13 y.o. COD noob OR you tell everyone that you enjoy the game the way it is even if its not. Very sad. Right now the game makes little fun due to broken melee, broken zombies. Add less weapons spawn and very few spawn points overall and you ahve an enjoyable game. If you really like the way the game is right now I pity you.
