Hmmm, it could be because some people are too lazy to run there from Three Valleys/Solnichniy as there's no actual Berezino spawn. I frequently see players in Berezino, but that could be just because I play on a server where there's a custom military camp in Olsha. I really, really like Berezino for its 2 convenience stores, hospital, apartments, the school/warehouse/whatever, the military tents and its proximity to the NE airfield. I've also found an ATV on top of Klen pretty much every time I've gone there.

Well, now my survivor's in a better place. I ran from NE airfield to Cherno's outskirts, ate and drank all of my meat and water, dropped my M249 SAW with its 4 mags in front of the northeastern church in Cherno that you can't enter, ditched my backpack with its contents to a forest, leaving me with just a PDW, and I started running to the Cherno clock tower. I managed to climb on top of it without getting killed (server pop was 60/60) and threw a frag onto the streets below. Then the bell rang and I jumped down. After dying my first spawn was in Cherno and I took the PDW. Too bad I forgot to bury my old self...

I was in Stary and entered the long barn from the southern side. As soon as I entered another guy with a Lee Enfield entered the barn from the northern side. I would've liked to make friends but at that situation it was kinda hard because it was like a standoff from a western movie; we were both in an equal situation and there was no running from it and he probably wouldn't have been able to hear me from that distance. He tried to take cover and aimed at me and I decided that his intentions aren't good. I had to shoot the poor bastard with my M14 AIM and I wasted like 5 shots because it was so tense. It didn't feel like worth it because I became a bandit for killing the guy and he didn't really have any loot at all. I haven't double-crossed anyone so this is the worst I've done lol.

I recommend Commander even though the mod is attainable through Steam. I haven't tried Six but according to a general opinion Commander is better. Commander not only keeps the mod and ArmA II beta up to date, but you can also download secondary DayZ maps such as Namalsk through it and it keep them updated. I don't think Steam/Six have this feature.

I was looting one of the military tents in Cherno with a hatchet in my hands, checking a medical box when a bandit attacks me with his hatchet from behind. My initial thought was "well, I'm gonna die". I turn around and try to retaliate the best I can and I hear the sound of a leg breaking. Fortunately it was the bandit's leg that broke and I could easily cut him down as he was in his leg breaking animation. Another fun kill I got was in NWAF at night time. I was behind the fire station in the wooded area when I see a flashlight beam waving near the barracks. I type "Flashlight guy near the northern barracks in NWAF, are you friendly?". I get no response and decide to move to the fire station and see what's gonna happen. A few minutes later I see the flashlight guy trying to enter the ATC tower from the front door. I see that he has two zeds on him and that he's trying to lose them by ducking in one of the very small bushes near the ATC tower's door. I move to the fire station's doorway to throw a flare right in the middle of the party and shoot him once with my silenced M4. He freaks out and starts to goofily walk around (I guess he was ironsighted or something) and gets KO'd by a zombie and dies. It kinda sucked that I couldn't loot him because there were like 20 zeds camping his dead body so I really didn't get much out of killing him.

I find it really hard to believe that Chernarus is 225km2 in size as it takes such a short time to travel around.

Well, now there will be whining about this patch by the can defenders. I, for one, am content with this change.

But I thought Chernarus was an imaginary place in Soviet Russia D: . If we can get Japanese food, they should give us Toyotas too instead of these crappy Soviet cars B) .

I hope the different food qualities will be added some day.

The mod references are kinda cool but they aren't exactly...subtle. There should be mod-named food but the names should make a bit more sense and they shouldn't be as obvious. Also, what on earth are canned muffins? They're the only real thing that I find "immersion-breaking" in the new canned stuff.

What classifies as a legitimate complaint?

There is an "actual issue" with all these new food/drink names: It's a lot harder to keep track of how much food you have when you have 1-2 units of five different kinds of food. Yeah I know, adding is easy, but it's tedious in the long run.

Implying that the people who don't approve the food/drink changes also dislike the other new features?

This patch will eventually result in me dying of starvation because of refusing to eat brony food. Then again, if I ate it I'd die of cancer.

I personally don't like Kamenka because it's far away from any of the 4 hospitals in the game that you want to visit as they have morphine/bloodbag/antibiotics spawns. Sure Balota airfield is near but there's always the actual Balota spawn point so you don't even have to run at all. I think I've actually seen more fresh spawn killers in Balota than in Cherno/Elektro. I don't consider getting guns before meds/food important, which is why the bean wars capitals' spawns and Solnichniy rock. That being said, yesterday I found a PBX and a ghillie suit in Kamenka but couldn't really enjoy them because I dropped all of my gear on spawn after seeing where I spawned and let some zombies smack me so I bled to death.

I'd be honored to get killed by Sacriel.

Also it'd be nice if the flashlight wouldn't just be waving around when running but pointing forward.

I freaking love seeing someone threaten/command another player they've caught off-guard, it usually results in the ambushed guy getting away from/killing the ambusher. I've found the following rule to be even more important than the old "don't trust anyone": Never ever surrender to anyone as that gives them total control over you and what's gonna happen to you. Always try to evade or retaliate, because if you just surrender they might as well kill you right there.

A couple of days ago I was in Dubrovka, and all of the sudden I hear a chopper above me. I asked the pilot for a lift and he told me to show my position. The chopper made all the zombies in the village to go wild and they aggroed on me. I ran from the zombies with my FAL equipped towards the landing chopper. I wasn't sure if he saw me or not so I decided to switch to my G17 to show him where I'm coming from with my flashlight turned on. Well, I tried switching weapons with a massive zombie horde behind me because I forgot that you have to stop to do it. The first zombie Mike Tyson'd me and then I got swarmed. I lost my 2 weeks old character because I forgot an easy to remember thing. I was just freaking mad at myself lol.
