Ok I got the base game to work on CO so I can join multiplayer games. I copied and pasted the addons folder from arma2 non-steam into my steam folder so it could access the files. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma2 base game fixed. I then used six launcher to install and update the dayz mod but when i join a server i get kicked instantly with the message, "You Cannot Play/Edit This Mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus" so..... back to square one. I launched steam as admin, I launched from steam as CO with the launch parameters "-beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca and I reinstalled battleye however I still get the same error message.

ok i removes everything, reinstalled arma2 and arma2oa. ran them both and tesated both in multiplayer and all is good. Then I launch as arma 2 CO and try to join a game and I get a "cannot play/ edit this mission; it is depedent on downloadable content that has been deleted.ace_sys_playerhud, ace_main, ace_sys_wounds, ace_sys_tracking, acex_usnavy_men_usmc, ace_sys_easa, ace_sys_repair.aceex_vehZ_m1,CATtracked2_AAV,CAWheeled2_towingTractor, CAWWheeled2_LAV25, ace_c_weapon, cba_main, ace_sys_map, ace_sys_interaction, caweapons_ammoboxes" I think when I launch as co through steam its pulling files from my arma2oa steam copy but not arma 2 since its not a steam verison. I'll try adding arma 2 to steam library. Also I have verified game cache multiple time and I always get failed to verify 1 file, but i have read this isn't an issue. ok, so... adding arma 2 to steam didn't work since all that does is make a shortcut for it, it still doesn't pull files from it when i choose to launch arma2oa. So i still get a cannot play/edit error. I really do think its has to do with steam not pulling files from arma2 for CO seeing as both games work independently, but not CO.

ok. I'm having similar issues. originally the error message was giving me a list of files that needed to be deleted or reassigned a key. So i deleted all those files. the filed were the .pbo files in the arma2 Addons folder, not A2oa. when i deleted them then i got the error cannot play/edit........telling me i needed .chernarus. I have Arma 2 retail copy, steam operation arrowhead. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, opened and closed them. I have installed the dayz mod Manually by torrent and by unpacking each file, i have used six launcher, six updater, to install mod and update them. I have also tried using the manual update. The mod is going in the correct folder, I do have the correct launch parameters and I am launching as combined operations from steam. I have launched from steam, Arma 2 launcher, six updater, six launcher, the executable files. I am running everything as admin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything multiple times and restarted my pc and everything else. I have reinstalled Battleye tons of times, both manually and through steam. Nothing I do works. If i add the addon files back to the arma2 directory the game tells me i have to delete to join. If i delete the the game tells me cannot play/edit.......chernarus. I have also tried using the worrom application but it just freezes at 1% every time. Does anyone have anything useful to offer? I'd really appreciate any help. The game seems really cool and i'm getting very frustrated and impatient.
