Fix weapon balance by fixing duping issue

He said the mod, not standalone.
  2. sloasdaylight

so when is the move to the new engine?

I have a feeling some of these people won't accept something as a new engine unless they write it in a new language. "Written in C+? MODIFIED!" "Written in C++? MODIFIED!"

I really dont get the point of bambi killing.

Necro quote, but dolphins, orcas, and domestic cats all have been documented killing other animals for fun, playing with the corpse, and then leaving it to rot.

Have you ever given guns and ammo to freshspawns?

Some guy gave me a blaze with some ammo one time. He followed me around and helped me out with some stuff, then as he was running off to log in the woods I blasted him in the back. Trust no one, my sweet, summer children.

    DayZ artifiacts in Real Life

I know it's meant to be rationed, but it also says tactical, so what if my tactics include overwhelming force? What then? Plus, rationing bacon? Who does that?

I find it sad that NEAF is still getting camped

Amen to this. I can't wait till they implement diseases and Mod style zombies into the game to make cities places you want to avoid. I queued up the mod a few days ago and I'd forgotten just how hard going into a town.

9oz can contains approximately 18 servings. Who the fuck eats .5oz of bacon at a serving?

I fail to see what's wrong with loading up with military gear.

    Love the New Sway

Yea, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about assuming actual shooting positions in the crouched/standing stances that incorporate bone support and other such things that greatly improve your accuracy without the need for a tree or a rock. I also mean that the longer your character has a weapon, the less and less it should sway, and the more predictable that sway should become. It doesn't make sense for someone who has had a gun - that they carry and aim daily - for months is just as adept at keeping it steady as someone who supposedly hasn't.
  10. Sure, if you're in a CQB situation. If you're not, even a few dozen meters away, by the time you walk up to put that bullet in someone's head, they could get up and run away. It's even more useful for foiling snipers, especially the kids who like to take pot shots at you from 7-800 meters away in a city.

    Love the New Sway

If they're going to have you hold your gun like a drunken chimp then I would really hope that eventually they're going to introduce a system whereby the player's character becomes more able to control their weapon for longer, and hold it steadier. I'd also like for them to implement actual shooting positions when you're prone or crouched to alleviate sway, because the stuff in those videos is ridiculous. And firing more accurately when your adrenaline is up make sense, since heightened levels of adrenaline prompt your body and your mind to sharpen your focus on the task in front of you.
  12. That's why there are exactly 0 stories about people surviving massacres and other atrocities by pretending to be dead, right? Those people must have been using 3pp easymode, right?

Why does this post strike me as completely unsurprising?

    American compounds in Chernarus

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benz_Patent-Motorwagen First personal automobile, was powered by an internal combustion engine, not an electric one, and was invented by a German. Prior to that, there were attempts at steam powered cars, which failed for pretty obvious reasons. Electric cars briefly appeared around the dawn of the 20th century, but faded into obscurity for a number of practical reasons which are pretty easy to see if you spend more than 30 "FUCKAMERICA" filled seconds looking at it. Try again.

I read all your posts. You said specifically, in the one I quoted, that you play games "not like hardcore live or die kind of things," and yet you decided to pick up DayZ, which is exactly that. So again I say to you, why the shit are you playing DayZ? Do you not do any kind of research before you plunk money down for games or what?

What Do You Want to See When you die?

I'd like to see some stats somewhere about how long you survived, and at least how much distance you covered. Maybe not at the death screen, but at least somewhere in the game.

Location is unkown.... Need Evac A.S.A.P

You'd better get out of my stomping grounds, lest you feel the wrath of MY unicorn, if you know what I mean...

    Yes, but who was phone?

Location is unkown.... Need Evac A.S.A.P

Have some beans. Seriously though, the middle of the map can be a wasteland of indistinguishable features, and the western most portion of the map (west of Zelenogorsk/Myshkino/Lopatino/etc.) especially so.
  24. It clearly says "survivor" which means that this survivor could be anything - except apparently militarily trained, which is weird, but whatever. Last I checked, there in fact are civilian doctors nurses medics triage specialists car mechanics bike mechanics heavy machinery mechanics helicopter pilots jet pilots ultralight pilots chemists fuel refiners garbage collectors gardeners architects radio operators power line technicians electrical engineers structural engineers chemical engineers mechanical engineers lumber jacks distillers brewers farmers truck drivers bus drivers trappers hunters surveyors race car drivers motorcycle racers sled dog mushers taxidermists butchers cooks fishermen ranchers veterinarians botanists plumbers carpenters electricians framers No one seems to have a problem with survivors in this game knowing a wide range of skills and specialties, found in the formerly listed professions except for pilots. We can remove and replace tires (which is god awful hard to do without damaging either tire or rim without the right equipment). We can install windshields with screw drivers, and engines with a single adjustable crescent wrench and a flat and phillips head screw driver. We can tend to grievous injuries suffered on the battlefield, including gunshot wounds, blunt force trauma, and broken limbs. We can shoot old, antiquated firearms with pinpoint accuracy, even on the first shot, at distances up to and beyond 800m (which is competition level shooting). We can successfully take blood, which can then be stored at ambient outside temperatures and not spoil for weeks at a time, and then properly transfuse another player to save their life. We can kill wildlife and successfully dress the body to obtain a mountain of usable meat, and then skin the hide with minimal spoilage to craft into a container case for later use - with a kitchen knife. We can do all of this, but mention flying a helicopter and everyone loses their minds.
