I haven't played DayZ seriously in a little over a year. I've played it on and off for lulz, and I've been playing a lot of normal ARMA. I spent the last year doing a bit of traveling and focusing on hobbies (Classic car I bought) so I kind of fell out of the loop about everything that's been happening in the world of DayZ other than the standalone stuff and I've gone through the new community change logs. I have downloaded the latest Beta and DayZ mod. I want to find a server that keeps up-to-date with both of these, and maybe some people to play with. I own a mumble server that I run off of my friends dedicated server, and I prefer to stick to mumble. I can obviously make that mumble server a donation for a clan if anyone's interested, but i'm not just joining or doing that for any clan. I want to play this game seriously, and take it seriously. If you want me to join your clan remember this: I do not want to play with little girls who log, or run from fights, or use any exploits. No duping, logging, or running ect. If you bring something you want to keep and get into a firefight while I'm with you, I expect you to back me up and not pussy out. While I'll be taking this seriously, it's still a game. Hording is fucking stupid. DO NOT bother asking me to join your clan if you're a bunch of cheap bitches. For those wierdo's that always ask, I'm 20 years old. NOTE: I don't care for the other maps, vanilla DayZ is what I like, no private hive or weird maps. I don't care the difficulty. I also prefer the server to have the thing where I can see myself on the map. NOTE: NO SKYPE. GET OUT OF HERE WITH YOUR LOW SOUND QUALITY.

It's hard to take the idea of doing private though, because that means less players, or when i get bored and want to go have fun killing bandits I can't join another server (say one with 38 people currently in it instead of maybe 5-10 or 0). That's my main issue. I guess I should maybe give it a shot but i haven't seen a up-to-date vanilla private either. What i missed about the way things were was how everything was DayZ (country code) #-####. Made it a lot easier to filter garbage. Then again my problem maybe that i don't like using commander or six. Do you know of a good Private that has a good amount of people in it a lot? (Also, that was total spam that guy. Not only did I say no private hive, I said up to date and vanilla. If he read any part he would have know. That's someone coming on, posting info without reading and leaving the conversation. Also known as spamming. Which I can deal with a little bit of mods but not full blown everything's different tons of cars/buildings/weapons. I don't mind subtle change, but I like the game as is.)

You're server is not up to date. You are 5 beta's behind. I can't even join because of that. Keep the server up to date and we'll talk, maybe.

Get the fuck off the forums. Every server that is unjust needs to be reported, and every hacker does too. It's that kind of attitude that will ruin the games. If your going to come on here and be an asshole to someone for being a good community member then just fuck off the forums and leave us alone.

Basically, for a long time, I would have my settings as follows : Visibility: 10000 Brightness + Gamma: 1.0 Quality preference: Very High Interface Resolution: 1920x1080*32 3D Resolution: 2880x1620 (150% I think) Texture: Very high Video Memory: Default Anisotropic Filtering: Very High AA off ATOC (What is that anyways): all trees + grass Terrain Detail: High Objects Detail: very high Shadow: Very High HDR: Very High PPAA off Post Processing: low or normal depending on the day Interface Size: Small or Very small (very small positions itself the best) Aspect Ratio 16:9 Vsync Enabled I also have Arma 2 Free (no money enough yet) and Paid OA on steam. eerrr both are on steam. Now if I have it on normal, it looks fine, the lettering and all that is. The only problem is that I have a 42" TV so that makes the menu's HUGE and makes the sound overlap with the debug monitor. Very small on the other hand positions everything perfectly. I'm just trying to figure out what I did before that made everything OK. I have some pictures attached to help anyone with more questions. If you still have more questions I'll give you every last bit of info needed to figure this out. It looked so nice before. :( EDIT: actually, it only allows 500k upload so I can't really upload any good shots, but you can see there based on the beta in the bottom right that small lettering is blurry. The menu here is a little bit as well.

It's sad the things hackers can do to this game. What's sad is that it's mostly not even dayz's fault. "10 years of a great engine"

Only problem is, When you right click, your stuff will drop behind the menu. This can be solved by right clicking the farthest right side of say, bandages. You can also move the entire menu to the left side, and the "bandage self" will still come up in the original spot.

Where can I find a good ping limiter or how do I make one? Where can I update the server that doesn't require using the server host (they hardly post the updates I need, until like 2 weeks later)? Those actually are all I can think of now.

I would love some assistance on how to do so. I PM'd you. Now if only someone could help me with the ping limiting

Also - How do I setup auto restarts?

As far as I know, items can't be put in tents till after a full server restart.

Is there something I have to write in, or does it already have the value. Also the server host that takes so long is HFB. I'm sort of new to hosting servers like this. I've only host CS:S and it's a lot more simple. Edit: I don't see anything in this file.

Ok so basically, I reinstalled everything today because some settings I had were messed up. I wanted to redo it fresh so I could get it all working right, but now randomly, any menu's and hud's look like doo doo. I can't figure it out. I have to have my menu on NORMAL which is way to big, and in game cause debug monitor to overlap my sound indicator. What do? I tried that and it didn't work, I'm wondering if maybe there is an option in the .cfg files that can be changed to make it look crisp?

Let's say someone kicks you from the server after privating you some nice crude message, and your NOT running fraps (I have proof of it once however with this gamehack 37 shit I'm a little weary of using FRAPS), how do I get that proof? The thing is I was unbanned for pretty much getting banned for no reason, and now I'm still having a few issues. Just wonder what I can do since I know how important evidence is, would I just be bone diddlied?

I know for a fact you can't do that because I didn't know when I was noob you weren't supposed to and my shit despawned on its own. Also tents you place out there are invisible or just don't actually place and you loose it from your inventory. I'm glad they did that because it's so fun finding peoples stuff.
