Some people here are complaining about June not beeing a good month for a zombie game and that is just stupid. As always, i have to say that i can wait, sure it is hard from time to time and everybody would want to play the game NOW. But honestly, it does not really matter. The game will hopefully come this year and i think it would be better if it does because some might lose interest in dayz if it takes another year till release. I just hope that Dean and his team don´t suffer because of the pressure from the community. I imagine it can be really difficult at times to "please" 1.5 Million fans. We have to be patient and when the alpha is ready i think we will see something similar to the Arma III alpha distribution model which is available via steam these days. so long, another patient gamer with full support for the devs. Rudson. -

Nice server, can´t complain at all! the only thing missing is a bandit group. But i am sure they will come very soon :-) Many cars, many weapons. The server could be the dream of every bandit out there ;) -

Again... this game will change my life! Can´t wait to play this. I am really out of my words to discribe how greatful i am that Rocket and his trusty friends and devs are making this game! I started to play when there were 70.000 people playing days. From day one i knew it´ll be huge. I know that rocket stated it clearly, that dayz standalone will be available when its done. And i tell you guys I totaly support him with this statement. I´ll wait for this game as long as i have to, from my side absolutly 0 pressure to rocket and his crew. You are all heroes for me. so long Rudson. -
I just realized that many of the people who suggested things like "classes" are often new to the forum and the community. One the one hand i find it to be charming, because it shows how far the whole "dayz-effect" is on new players, not everybody thinks about how to enhance a game by adding something new and so on. On the other hand tough it shows that these players have not spend to much time with the actuall game. It is a vicious circle, but i always like to comment on these kind of topics, it is funny and most of the times it teaches somekind of lesson to newcommers who want to become part of the forum community. I hope Foxtrot Mupett isn´t sad about the negative response. Even your topic wasn´t the smartest you came up with, it still showed me, that new players do care about the game. That is really impressive. So from this point of few i will give you my beans :) so long Rudson

I can´t disagree more on this matter. Every survivor must be provided with the same capabilities and skills. The balance would be screwed over. If you want classes you should play a different game, maybe Planetside 2 is something for you. And next time use the search function. You are number 3293240302343024 who did come up with this gratuitous class idea. so long Rudson

Consolidated Weapons/Equipment suggestions

New stuff in games is always cool. i would love to see more weapons and rare weapons, but the most important part should be that it feels right for the game. Some people here are demanding weapons like the AN-94. It is a lovley weapon and i prefer it over many other assault rifles in BF3 but it is not a weapon you should find in Chernarus. While i was playing dayz - 1,5 monts ago - there always was this type of player: Ghillie suit, nvgs, m4silenced, rangefinder, as50 / dmr and so on. My equipe at the moment looks pretty much the same. Now think about how much this would weight on your shoulders. The AS50 alone weights about 14 Kg! With the M4 and other stuff this survivor is running around with 35 Kg. Would be believable if he is working for the SAS. The next problem. Who would want to carry 2 big huge weapons around + sidearm? I tell you only Arnold Schwarzeneger would! The whole idea of putting a second mainweapon in a "backpack" is so stupid. It should only be possible to carry 1 rifle (assault/sniper). Sniperrifles are the next problem i have with the current state of the game. Generally sniping is way to easy. It should not be possible to hit any target at a distance of 200 m while standing wiht a scoped sniper. I know what i am talking about because i did shoot many rounds in reallife. You need to have a good spot, where you can sit or lay down for shooting on long ranges. If you shoot a rifle while standing and you miss the target, the recoil forces you to spot the target again. I could go on forever, but you get the idea. sniping is to easy. Fix the machanics and make it more difficult. The next and last thing i would love to see is that you have to calibrate weapons you find. Given the whole situation it is unlikely to find all weapons in a perfect state. Cleaning, calibrating your firearm should be possible, like fieldstripping the gun, taking a look into the barrel to see if it is already rusty and so on. Furthermore i would love to see some simple attachements. like flashlights and scopes. so long Rudson. -
I wouldn´t do it like this, the chance getting killed by a bandit near a hospital is pretty high, furthermore it is called "hero skin" not "Exploit skin" players should earn it.

I'm not impressed by Lingor Island ... yet

Hey Sula, I´ve played lingor only for 10 hours or so, but i have to say that i like Cherno more than lingor. I don´t like the environment, it feels not as authentic than the "original". One thing about lingor, what is way better is that you can enter 95 percent of the buildings. Espacially in the bigger citys it feels way more realistic than the dayz "village mocks". I am sure the dev team will introduce this to the final product at the end of this year! Another really annoying thing while playing was that i only found russian servers to play on. And not one single russian was able to communicate in english. Frickin nightmare.
