The best thing to do is report the day/time/server name/rough location of the incident. Server admins tend to check the forums pretty regularly, and they can take further action. You have to remember that we're all essentially alpha testers. It's not like you bought a game that's infested with hackers. It's a free mod that's in development stages. Granted, it happens to be a particularly good alpha mod, but again, this isn't a finished product, and rocket never made any guarrantees or promises about it. Honestly, report any hacking in the appropriate part of the forums, and keep things in perspective. If Rocket ever intends to release this game as a finished product, he'll have to do something about the hackers. But until then, nobody says you have to play DayZ. -

I admit, I could never do the job of a server admin. I really wish there were more tools at your disposal, and the fact that GUIDs can be duped like that is awful. -

Go with the M14. It's more powerful.

Up until the last patch, castles were a good (i.e. relatively safe) place to find camo and ghillie suits, so they usually had a decent amount of foot-traffic. Currently both of these items are not dropping in-game, so it's not an issue until this is fixed.

I've noticed that elements of DayZ have been creeping into my dreams lately. Whether it's PvP, escaping from zeds, or even looting to survive, DayZ has been influencing my nightly rest every now and then. Has anybody else had any DayZ-related dreams? DISCLAIMER: This may just be me :3

I can understand the whole "I'm so kitted out that I don't dare take any risks" issue... but seriously, why not stash your stuff in a tent in the absolute middle of nowhere, and just run down to the coast with only your flashlight? That way, you have the option of changing your mind and reclaiming your gear at a later date... -

I'd love to be able to do this. That way I could leave a note in the guy's tent I found nearby mine that tried to shoot me the other day. Imagine coming back to your supposedly-secret tent and finding a note that says "I'm watching you..." As someone who doesn't like to KoS, this would be perfect revenge. -

If you think you encounter hacking, post the server name/location/time in these forums in the appropriate subsection. Server admins do tend to keep an eye out for hacker reports on their servers, and they can deal with them appropriately.
