I'd say the L85A2 AWS value is extremely variable, depending on the player. Pros: - Thermal sights - Zeroing - Takes STANAG mags, which are relatively easy to find - NV sights - Semi/Full auto fire rate Cons: - No regular sights - Doesn't aim particularly well - No burst fire - Scope gives you "tunnel vision" like a sniper rifle scope - Damage is baseline assault rifle level - Not silenced - Not camo - Thermal makes it difficult to tell which direction you're aiming In other words: it depends on your playstyle. Yes, I just did a 26 in-game day stint playing solo (playing every real-life day). I raided the supermarkets in Pustoshka and Vybor daily, and I'd say pretty much every other day, if not more frequently, I found matches in at least one of the supermarkets. And even if I didn't, I ALWAYS found canned food. -

I seem to recall seeing this implemented in another game. What was it called? Cleft for Bed? ...Something like that. Seriously. One of the founding principles of this game is permadeath, and I strongly doubt Rocket is going to mess with that.

Not scarce. A visit to 5 supermarkets at the most will land you matches. I've found 2 boxes of matches in a single supermarket once. You're not going to get gear handed to you on a silver platter. That's not survival. It just means scavenging for canned goods/heatpacks (now that temperature is unbugged) until you find some. -
