What else are you gonna do in DayZ? Surviving with no risk from other players would make the game so easy it would be boring. After playing the game for a while dodging zombies and looting is easy. Killing other players is all there is left to do. Hell I've even sailed that little 10kph small boat from Solnichny to Berezino.... that was dull. Killing other players is end game content for DayZ. Saying that they should probably make some friendly fire off servers for the pussies and noobs.

They cant add a login delay for logging onto different servers because all the so many stupid server admins are unable to tell the time. GMT -8 server connecting at midnight GMT and its pitch black? wtf

Does this happen on all servers or just ones on regular difficulty? Talk about a map hack! lol

So if I was playing on this server is there a chance I'd appear on peoples maps without them seeing me?

I was just heading to a deer stand on a server which showed my location on my map. I set a waypoint and set off. When I got closer I checked my map and there was an orange icon with a point on it labelled "Man" a bit like this <O Was that another player? Why was he showing up on the map? I scouted the area but couldnt find anyone and the icon disappeared from the map.

I'd be happy with a mod for ARMA 3. But if a standalone was developed I'd either prefer the free to play model (Please partner with a company with experience in this and not Bohemia) or a one off purchase. I'd never subscribe monthly to a game.

The main problem is Bohemia Interactives contribution to DayZ. ARMA 2 is full of bugs which cause most of the problems in DayZ. ARMA 3 will be a buggy piece of shit and if Bohemia work on DayZ it will be awful and buggy. Rocket needs to partner with a decent gaming company.

Rocket removed starting weapons from the game to try bring people together at the start. The problem is the games pretty shallow and once you've played for a while getting gear is easy so hunting other players is the only thing left todo.

Hi, I'm using http://dayzdb.com/map to try find my way around DayZ but continually get lost and end up running in the wrong direction. Any tips to help me not get lost? Also if you have a map but no compass can you set a way point to follow? If so how? Thanks.

I've "found" a worked bus but I was lost when I found it and have hidden it in the wilderness and logged off. I have a map and a watch no gps or compass. Is their anyway to find my location without running around trying to find the nearest town and risk losing it?

I dont watch yogscast all mincraft rubbish but I did watch their DayZ videos. The server host was something like "Yogscast DayZ adventures" so pretty sure it was a private server. I think someone started their characters for them so they had weapons etc. It all did seem a little unfair however... they have over 2 million youtube subscribers so this will have given a lot of free press for DayZ which is good. I still think spawning without away to defend yourself is bullshit though.
