    The server hopping problem shouldnt be too hard to fix, making people wait for 10 seconds when they choose to log off, and maybe making you wait a minute or so when you try to switch servers?

    having the exact same problem, everyone i know can read what im typing, yet i cant read or hear what anybody else is saying, have everything installed up to date and this is getting really annoying.

    So i started playing this game around 3 days ago, iv died tons of times and my last character was alive for about 6 hours, until i was shot by another survivor. Im basically just looking for some helpful people to play with as i cant seem to meet any in game. Just post on here or add me in steam if you want to team up! Steam name: Indie_boy36

    I keep having issues with loot, when i go to pick up certain things like food and ammo, i click to put it in my inventory, i pick it up but at the same time drop some random items like bandages and ammo onto the floor. It does this when i have enough room in my bag to pick up whatever im trying to loot.

    Im having the same problem, nobody ever replies to me, but the other day i was playing with a friend, and he could read what i was saying, but i could neither see his text or hear his voice chat, and we were both stood next to each other.

    He's right though, the wierd idiots who enjoy shooting and killing unarmed survivors never speak, i announce im friendly and unarmed.... get no reply and they proceed to waste ammo killing me for my flashlight...

    i started yesterday, on my 5th life i gave up trying to find stuff in the villages and towns near the coast, and i followed a road inland, i was playing for 2 hours when i found my first weapon, a double barrel shotgun, but i only got 2 slugs for it so i dont even want to fire the damn thing, but finding that weapon has gave the game a whole new feel. I know i can defend myself but i dont want to waste the ammo so im still sneaking. You just gotta be persistent and get used to the game, its gunner take a lot of patience!

    It definitely gives those assholes a reason to just kill others on sight, of course there would be bandits without the leaderboards, but i think more people would be willing to help others if there wasnt such a leaderboard.

    Well im finding it pretty damn impossible, zombies from nowhere running at me when im crawling, not being able to find a weapon, when i did eventually pick up a hatchet, within minutes im shot dead by the first person iv seen in-game, if any other noobs want to team up or anyone just wants to help me out, send me a message.

    thanks guys, would be good to meet someone as helpfull in the actual game, as every person iv met today has just shot me on site, dont see why as i dont even have a weapon

    Would really like to know how to equip and use the hatchet, found one today but couldnt equip it!? was being chased at the time so i couldnt really work it out.

    and how do you equip the hatchet? i was being chased by 4 zeds and found one in a shed, couldnt for the life of me work out how to equip the damn thing?!

    How the hell are you supposed to update the beta version of the game? i have the right DayZ version but have no idea how to update the beta version and run it with steam. Cant find anyone who can explain it properly.
