Hi. We're a newish server giving away a vehicle each week to boost population, it was going to be another ATV when we happened across this camp where someone has been hoarding vehivles already, I was of a mind to blow them up but then figured it could be a free for all instead! The car and the tractor are fine, the rest need pretty much 2 wheels each, I guess the guys shot them out so peeps couldn't drive them away, other than that there seems to be nothing else here in terms of gear. Grid Reference is approximately 007,009.

I'm not a Bandit per se, I enjoy PVP. This is a legit, help yourself post since I think people who hoard a load of vehicles are pretty lame to be honest. Of course I make no representations as to what condition they're in now, since I've gone back to Elektro.

So, on the understanding that grass doesn't hide you - someone who flew over you in a helicopter spotted you. But this is cheating because the wall was the wrong way? I mean what? Was it over head? I don't think you quite appreciate what alt view in third person on a Helicopter is like.

Wasn't staged, I was in there, in truth there was only like 5 people on. The winner was called Ice Cold Peroni, which we rather enjoyed. Also, it's just an ATV... (We all have our preferences, mine is actually a push bike).

I wasn't even there but I have to just mention that people in Ghillie suits stood in grass, are not stood in grass on my screen. They're just a bloke stood in the middle of a green, flat, texture. Kind Regards

I regularly fly with Jaeger in the helicopter... For those who haven't been in a helo - you can spot people easily from ranges of around 600m in woods, and 1km+ on the coast. Jaeger is also a little school girl who dies just like anyone else to hits that land. I killed him by accident more than a few times in fire fights. I have noticed the helicopter being hit on my client with 50 caliber rounds, i specifically saw a round once hit the rear tail and it did absolutely nothing. We then touched a sign post somewhere near Vybor and it immediately exploded. I can only really suggest that either the client had de-synchronised and what was being reported on your screen was wrong (This happened to me on Namalsk yesterday, shot a dude 5 times in face with an m1911 on the bridge as he drove a Ural towards me, all that happened was I went flying 5 seconds having been run over). If it wasn't client de-sync then perhaps the hitboxes are wrong on the heli and you need to hit the rotors or the specific engine bay, I don't know - for what it's worth we caught a coach up North and I emptied 100 m240 into it and it was largely fine, something doesn't quite work with shooting vehicles on DayZ. What does work fine is shooting people, I and JAeger have been reliably shot out of any and all vehicles you care to imagine, we came across a camp up North and our other gunner was lost immediately, we landed and I got shot dead almost straight away and Jaeger went off on his own and killed them all cus, well, maybe he;s just better than me and you? Either way, cheat reporting relies on evidence, not anecdotes.

Same as OP. They advertise 24/7 support which is a flat out lie. The server has been up two days and down with "unknown" for 4. Multiple run arounds with the staff, tickets being closed with no resolution, no feedback, promises that it's currently being re-installed since they broke it ETA 2 hours, still dead 36 hours later and the staff are now non-responsive. I get that hardware/software fails, i own and run my own personal servers elsewhere but the communications and up front honesty at Vilayer is dreadful. Will be cancelling account shortly just been nothing but a waste of a week.

Just a bump for my friend who has come back to admin a DayZ server. Is currently called "Hotline Miami" Simulator - as that's what DayZ is at the moment! Anyways he has experience and was an admin previously. It is a Vilayer server on public hive running 1.7.3 etc and is set to wget new hack updates etc every 3 hours from the community source. Cheers.

I think 50m strikes a good balance. If you're aiming for a head or chest shot at ranges of 200m+ with any kind of rifle then missing their head by an inch means the bullet will inevitably land some 50-100m beyond target.

Oh shut up. When was the last time someone sat there throwing cans at you? If someone is sat there throwing cans then just blow their head off. Your points are contrived and weak. This fix has been shown to work "In controlled conditions" as you put it, and you now assert they won't work out in the wild. Well forgive us all for not taking your word for it, I'd rather actually like to see it TESTED out in the wild. Since you know, it's Alpha... The only thing I have to say about the code itself is. A) Thanks Vanthos for the effort in, I hardly ever post here any more exactly because it's full of borderline retards but felt you should know you're getting much love from the silent majority. People are TALKING about dayZ now and logging back in because of you. B) I had a buddy firing at a few Zeds next to me and it never triggered combat for me once. C) We all got teleport hacked, I managed to log out - someone opened fire and my buddy got stuck and died. This is down to the hackers not your code and I understand that, but could there possibly be any potential for turning combat logging off if say there are more than 15 people within a 20m radius (I have never seen as like "in the wild)? failing that they should get your kind of talent into the anti-hacks side of things. Appreciated, much love from me and the 6 other people who are now logging on with me who won't be saying thanks on here but now looking forwards to playing again, you have all our gratitude.

As per title really. Sat camping wasting my time on dayz and out the blue I hear someone take the two steps then go prone next to me. Starting making noises on direct comms. Didn't react until I saw some grass textures right next to me get pushed over and I said I can see you in a jokey kind of way since I'd be dead had he wanted to kill me. Anyways after about 20 seconds of back and forth chat he just pops into view (probably turned off invisible mode?) and looks down range with me. Asks if I can see anything I say no, he's like ok. Turns around and then spawns in about 4 or so crates one after the other and invites me to take anything I want. I looked inside the crate and it was full of everything, like every weapon in the mod 50 of with 50 of each ammo type. He hung about for about 5 minutes then left saying bye on the way out. Screens for proof - before the hate comes in I had no idea I was on an N+ server either. I don't know if this helps detect the cheats but I asked about the boxes, he said the disappear after 1 minute - I also noted he showed up as a "Sniper" rather than "Survivor" on nameplate and had a patrol pack... All this went down about 1030 GMT on US1211. Hope it helps someone somewhere.

Are you Your response makes me sick. So I was able to have a conversation with him and not die? That makes it ok right? Let me know how it goes when the person who he next meets says thanks and takes an M136 and AS50 + 40 rounds and kills you with it assuming the hacker doesn't. Their actions are a cancer on this project and you are the unhealthy lifestyle.

I suppose since my name is on the screenshots I would point out that my gear is all legitimate and if you cannot fathom how then I stopped farming helicopters on pushbikes when I died and upgraded to doing it in teams with three quad bikes.

Its a nice idea that is slightly different from the norm. But we aren't going to be running about with a flag on our back are we - really? That's just never going to happen. I think something similar to bandit/hero skin but far more subtle so it's not immediately obvious which one you are. Perhaps some MINOR blood spatters on the bandit clothing and I don't know what would be good for a hero skin, maybe some miniature badges or patches on the clothing perhaps. Just an idea.
