Lee Enfield gobbles up and spits out people from 500 yards all day long. But yeah as others have said, M107 for overwatch and killing hard targets (Vehicles) - also it's not so bad firing it from the hip when needed in a pinch :D

But I spawned cherno docks and found a Hatchet in first shed I came to. Then hatchet someone to death in the very first residential garden I come to. Lee Enfield/Revolver with ammo, blood/morphine/antibiotics, matches/compass/huntingknife. Cheers bro - compass helped getting my bod back a bit faster. : D But here is the real serious internet question, is there a way to pick up a bike that is over on it's side after you might have endo'd it at approximately 80mph? All I get is an option to save at this point :( Afterall, those helicopters aren't going to farm themselves are they?

Well here's the thing you can damage it but getting off and on it again repairs it to full.

Can I use it to recharge the bell? I wear it out every time I find a bike.

You can get the thing to roughly 100 mph going down some of the hills in the wilderness, though asking the bike to turn left/right at that velocity is it's own battle lol.

IRL friend of the Jaeger bomb, in game Handle atm is *** The Rapephant. Server is up and down a little, essentially if Jaeger notices people trying to run scripts in there he will kick them, if they come back what he did before was block all ports for 5-10 minutes until they get bored and move on. Kind of sucky if you're right on top of a downed helo but better than having everyone script killed I would say. I was averaging pings like 140 everywhere else and or getting lag spikes and hangs. Averaging ping is a ridonkulous 28ms now for me. He's also a server technician IRL so when the DayZ staff break the updates and all the other server admins are moaning, he's on mumble with me fixing it and getting it back on and running. That enough love for you JB?

OP/ you people do actually make me feel sick. You cannot buy DayZ - you bought ARMA II for an alpha mod that was largely home made and still in testing. If you don't like that then you're just a bit dim. Nothing else.

I'm at the NW Airfields solo and worked my way into the compound. Hear small arms fire about 60 yards up from the barracks so scuttle into the tin shed inside the compound. I hear zombies dying outside and moaning in pain. Silenced M4s. Eventually 2 guys crouch run past the tin shed on the back side along the road where I am trying to get an angle on them with a DMR. They disappear from view and I can't see them - then there is silenced rounds coming at me, the guy must be trying for an acute slice shot through the window. I go prone and back up a bit and get out the PDW. I hear one guy circling round to just outside and underneath me, so I'm abusing the shit out of 3rd person but no one is there in the doorway just yet - still prone. Theeeeeeeen leaderboard "You died" with 11347 blood. Which is where it was from the last zombie that chewed my face a bit in the barracks, Anyone else had something like this? Initially I wondered whether I took a frag grenade and maybe the client missed it. Who knows. I'm not calling them out as hackers or anything, they must have noticed a glitch on the wall or heard me take a step or whatever, I don't mind engaging people just curious wth happened... I'll ask the admin to check the logs tomorrow I guess see if there is anything useful there,

I checked with server admin - was a server de-synch. I probably died as soon as the bullets were coming in, and looting my body whilst I thought I was crawling about.

I got hit once before in the face with an M24 when I was a scrub and yeah I did just drop dead without hearing anything but my blood was at like -7000.

Best I have had is to France (Oddly i'm from the UK and the UK servers can't compare) with a ping of 14ms.

Works both ways (sometimes) two guys spawned right in front of me in a pub in cherno - they probably died to my axe before they got past loading screen. Stupid place to log out but people do it.

Secondly why in a 4 man team are you discussing whether people need food or not once you've infiltrated all the way down into the town? All that should have been sorted on the way down or 10 minutes before. Last and yes least, they're called Binoculars not bidoculars ~8:50. Turn your audio cue off for PTT as well, it just annoys people on your server and garbles the first thing that comes out your mouth, which is sort of the opposite of useful. Yeah. AS50 sniper in close quarters fighting from third perspective with a rifle poking through a door... And there was _lots_ of mistakes like that. Nope, sorry. To increase the value of your life just have your blood level increase by say 250 each "day" you survive up to a cap of say 20k?

TL;DR Didn't pack Morphine before running off into wilderness. For serious though guys. Find an Alice bag (Not exactly difficult). 3 Morphine, 5 bandages, 2 blood - 3 food, 3 drink, 3 meat. That is 19/20 on your alice bag and you've not even touched your inventory yet, lame excuses for dying up North because you didn't think to loot a hospital first for medical supplies is frankly retarded and you got Darwin'd out the game. The game is about being eaten by Zombies and shot at by players - what did you think was going to happen? Crying about the glitches isn't going to help - the developers obviously know about it and have said broken bones are not working as intended, so genuinely either get morphine or log out. Inb4 "only got a patrol pack." 1 blood, 2 morphine, 2 drink, 1 food.

*Spent the last hour looking for a CZ550*. A 308 magnum round entering the side of a bandit's head does not make it useless. In fact a lot of the time if I see someone in the treeline and they don't look geared but do have a CZ550 (One that I don't need) I'll move on and not engage, not worth the risk vs the reward. TL;DR - Bullets are for people, not zombies, and a CZ550 has fat bullets.

Farmer zombies drop ammo for it, and it doesn't spawn just in barns, it spawns in all farm buildings and I believe some residential. The question is malformed because yes of course it is worth it if you don't have a DMR, if you have a DMR then no it isn't worth it. If you're asking which one to keep - keep the DMR.

So rather than crying about losing a firefight to a server hopper can we think of a rational way to fix this? I know there are knockout timers etc and Rocket has mentioned that he will be patching this out in the future (if possible) but I was thinking about the situation we were in today and it does present some problems. 3 man team, vs 2 man team. We are the three man team and two of us get downed by a DMR from range. Our 3rd man counter snipes the DMR ranger and spots second target taking cover. Whilst covering the exits after about 10 minutes my boy gets domed in the back of the head and it was definitely a server hop. Thing is, even if there were a 10 minute rule lock out, in game we didn't much want to just up sticks and move as you can't be sure who is where in a fight. The only conclusion I came up with was to lock people out of a server they disconnected from for ~20-30 minutes. Which isn't going to fly with new spawners on the coast at all and yeah even I think that's excessive, but how can you leave it long enough to get comfortably up the 500 yards cautiously to see where the player is if it is less than 15 minutes? I feel that even as a relatively new player this issue is going to be "fixed" but not work in practice as 80% of the playerbase want nothing to do with these server hop restrictions, 10% are server hoppers and 10% are legit stay-in-til-the-end fire fighters... Is it just a case of tough shit you gotta relocate inside 5 minutes and hope no one else is on overwatch or is there anything else that the community has suggested? I don't particularly want to just log off and go to a different server but if the majority of firefights end up this way that's all my team are going to do unless we get confirmed rifle headshots from 600 yards+. And inb4 tears, i'm not mad, re-rolling is re-rolling in DayZ it's gonna happen and I'm cool with that, just want to curb some cheese gaming.

If that is the case then we'll just have to log off. Target takes cover, logs in behind you, waits timer, kills you. If you only have one overwatch player he cannot watch front and back in case he did/nt hop and the hop and penalty is less than 10 minutes, which is not really feasible to approach a hilltop inside 10 minutes unless you just sprint/crouch run directly up it in which case if he didn't hop you're going to die.

Why would fog make zombies hear better? I dont get it! Sound travels further in fog and clearer due to the air being denser and having water droplets that help conduct the sound across. I am in favour of the idea, it's another one of those oh that's neat features to the game when I'm explaining it to someone who isn't blown away by the graphics engine (Shallow people yes but I always advocate DayZ). It helps distinguish this game from the rest Rocket - keep it.
