Same issue on our server. Any new gear that we need to keep has to be stored on person - anything in tents taken out is being duped back in. (Which is kind of shit since there is an obvious camp somewhere on our server that a hella lot of people probably know about that has FAL/CZ550s/L85 in there.) They should wipe all tents - it's an arms proliferation.

I stumbled across it whilst driving to the coast to fetch a squaddie who died. The boot of those ATVs is BIG let me assure you. I feel your pain, lost AS50/M4 Holo M203 to a hacker a week back and had all the usual tools etc. Sucks. Hey, at least yours wasnt the camp with the bus about 8 tents and a car, cus we stole the bus and rebranded it as the party bus and drove about the NW airfield for an hour running over zombies then abondoned that in stary when we finally broke it. The car was so far deep into the woods in the NE that it ust have taken hours to crawl that there and would be unusuable where it was. Naturally the AS50 sorted that out so somewhere, someone is enjoying a new car at least and maybe a bus.

Sling, catapult, spear/shaft of metal, throwable bricks, bleach/acid, wider range of smaller calibre stuff.

All of these issues will die down once the tent duping thing is fixed. I have found 5 odd camps and have run them over, blown them up, chucked the gear into bushes , saved, unsaved, rolled tents up and moved them and repitched... I don't know the specifics of how it came to be but these camps which are miles apart from each other all come back after server reboots full again. Some camps have just tins of beans and jerry cans in. Some camps have l85/Fal/AS50 in. As time goes on more and more of these camps are found by more and more players, ergo more and more people with weapons they ought not to have with a completely broken amount of ammo for them even considering the fact that ammo now tracks. So what? It all reappears in the tents after a reboot anyway. I hope this issue is fixed as it is massively skewing the newer players perception of things. Sniper rifles are probably just fine, the issue is a lot of players can go get anther one with X amount of mags 2-3 times a day, all day long.

No I feel you need to read my post where I said that 99% of the time they just move on and we have been getting hacked to pieces for "A few days" (Out of months) I have read, and comprehend perfectly your points - I just reject them :) I do not find these people to be "sending messages" or "Pushing back". I just literally went to a hacker forum to see if perhaps things have changed since I last was looking. No. Post after post after post of "I spawned some 1337 shit and now I got banned how do I get another key" "I was spawning some shit hot guns in because starry is always empty" "I spawned in 2 ATVs cus walking is for suckers". Nothing, anywhere was about being an anon-esque payback hack. No one is going to hand over cash for a hack to "Push back" they hand over cash to run about in a hard environment doing things effortlessly. The logs are sent, the reports made. Your advice is akin to "Oh if you get raped just let them do it cus you know, you're just going to make them fight harder". Make another poll and ask the player base if they would prefer the ports to be blocked for 10 minutes whilst the kids move on or just sit there whilst NPCs with AS50s are roaming around firing at anything that moves. I find this utterly ridiculous. You asked a bunch of script kids why they're destroying everything and they gave an option to make them sound like cyber heroes. That's hardly counter intuitive. I play day in day out with a server admin who is well grounded and takes time to cater where he can to the community - removing barbed wire, warning on reboots etc and we've been getting hacked to pieces the last few days. Teleported into the sky, thunder dome, we had 2 ATVs that were just mass teleported somewhere, 20 hueys spawning in... I've been to the hacker forums out of curiosity and there is no substance to this idea they're some kind of Cyber Robin Hood, more common were people complaining that snipers or xyz was unfair and they're going to now fuck them up with hacks to make it fair. There is a social disconnect with these people where they need to feel powerful and get attention as they're unable to bring this about within the constraints of the game. Nothing more - asking why these kind of people need to do what they do - of course they're going to say something that bigs them up. Also the paragraph listing rebooting the server etc as "Throwing a tantrum" is just asinine. Often the admin mate I roll with is trying to do some professional work and then gets bummed on skype that everyones being thrown to the dogs and he blocks ports for 10 minutes for the hackers to get bored and move on (which 99% of the time works because you're dealing with children).

I've lost 3x as50 4 l85 and last time i lost a "proper" character it was 5 days old (Still young in so far as it goes) to a hacker "Up North). With that in mind... Shut the fuck up. If you think you can go and make a better Mod for Arma II engine because that is exactly what it is, then feel free. If you cannot do better, then again, shut the fuck up - or preferably, just leave. You spawn. Unless you are killed inside 30 seconds in the time it takes to get to some cover you're just flat wrong. Yes you're forced to go to areas that may/may not have players in. So. Check for players before going in? I mean really what do you want me to tell you? You're two days in and you're dying a lot. Suck it up - we've all been there. You ran inside a building making a ton of noise and got blasted on the way out - your mistake. You were running along the beach in plain view for 2 km and got blasted - your mistake, you were running across an open field because you were fixated on getting from A--->B you got blasted - your mistake. You spawned and were sniped inside 30 seconds --> Douche bag killed you. For the record, I don't kill fresh spawns, if I die I just get geared and go North - fresh spawns aren't worth the time invested.

You guys don't think it through. At all. The general moan is that you collect collect collect collect then someone horrible kills you and so you have to do it all over again. How much replay value do you think if there is just collect, collect, collect, collect and the onyl way to die is jumping off a light house/crashing a vehicle or getting killed by Zombies (likely much)? Why are you dying so much? Because you're just running around on the roads, and actually to be frank - yes the bandage is worth > 1 Lee Enfield bullet. If you think anyone is going to bother trying to hold you hostage for a bandage rather than just shooting you then you're all as dumb as the thread sounds to begin with. This is not your usual game. If you are bored of continually dying - stop dying, the excuse that someone killed you is an opportunity to stop and think how and why that happened and improve your playstyle next life.

Peoples bodies don't disappear after any set time... Once the server loot/body drop gets too high it starts erasing the oldest stuff. Die on an empty server and your body will stay there until restart. Die on a busy server and it'll be gone in 10 minutes.

Except you're playing a free mod. Given away for free. That cost nothing. As in. Free.

So if someone doesn't want a 1200m+ firing one hit kill rifle with night/day spotting vision with anti-materiel quality that makes them a Pussy? Can you just clarify that point for me? I have an L85 at the moment and I DO feel like a pussy for using it - I put forward sir that whoever chooses an M107 AWS rifle is the absolute definition of a pussy for the DayZ mod.
