I have no picture and a low forum post count. I play DayZ almost four hours a day. It is like crack. Yes, hackers and video glithes are a pain in the (THIS SPACE INTENTIONALY LEFT BLANK). The DayZ concept is great! I voted for it.Looking forward to the standalone.

it stops spawn hopping to get back to your dead body to retreve your gear. I think that it is a good move. If you want to die run to a zombie, he will help you.

Use respawn and just find new gear. Walking for hours is a terrible waste if time.

No gun or supply spawns. Went through Electro and Chreno. Tons of dead players with Hatchets, like myself. Just a few with guns. Those with guns extremly hard to kill. last guy i brought zombies with me and hit him several times. Zombies beating on him also. Still died. That server also claims to be a survivor server. I was only killed by "survivors".

Start setting the tents up in town.

The Flame train! That is so hilarious. There are so many reasons to love/hate this game. You'll be back, you will not be able to resist. There isn't any other game like this. You'll be back!

I have been shot carrying just a flashlight, bandage and painkillers. If you just spawned no real loss right? There are cities that you can go into that don't have as many players shooting in them. I have successfully looted my way through Cherno with shooting all around. Filled both weapon slots and filled pack with food drink and supplies. Made it out of town though like a fox raiding the chicken house, little bit of buck shot in the seat of my pants. Died later on though. That seems to be a reoccurring theme.

I broke mine in the tower at the NW Air strip. Crawled to the hangar and found a dead sniper. Fortunately he had two morphine injectors. Died in the forest trying to find food to build blood back up.

What does the "w" key do?

The game concept is great. The community is changing the way it is played. That is normal. People preying on people would be normal. I don't shoot on sight. I do get shot at quite a bit and return fire. I have also died quite a lot too. This used to tick me off, but if you think about it... If faced with crawling into town to get supplies and maybe getting eaten were real, wouldn't you shoot the survivor that is running full tilt across a field with a Cech backpack full of supplies and two decent weapons with ammo. Plus all of the tools you need to survive outside of town. Sniff, sniff. Crap that was me! Mom always told me that if I was running across a field with a loaded gun during the zombie apocalypse to check my six to make sure no one was following. Did I listen? No! Doesn't sound like you did either.

I have been playing this mod for a couple weeks now. I have run into friendlies and "bandits". I have watched the bandit videos on Youtube. It really seems like there are folks that just come into the server to poach those who are trying to play the survivor game. I can see maybe shooting someone if you were starving, but all of the videos I have seen didn't suggest that. In fact at the major cities people just wait for the newly spawned just to kill them. I guess that is cool, not much of a challenge though. I know that there isn't anyway to fix this, but don't we already have games for that?

Second day in DayZ. With practice I have been able to scout and loot just fine. Today I have found a MP5 ( silenced ), pump shotgun, AKM, Enfield, and axe. Man the axe is great! Also matches, hatchet, knife, sardines, cokes and Pepsis. I just had to slowdown my normal game play. It's not Left 4 Dead. It has been a great challenge. :D

I am very new to Dayz. I have died ....a lot. LOL That is the challenge for me to learn not to die. I have not found guns, but I have learned how to ditch zombies chasing me. I like it just the way it is. When a veteran dies he or she comes back with the same load-out as the beginners. Key: don't die. When we are running and we have a hoard chasing us could our chacter cry for his mommy? Just asking:D
